I was cured back in 84 when you raved about the KX 125 and how slow the RM 125 was. I had them both, you felt fast on the kx but the RM was 2 seconds a lap faster on any track. Big difference between "Feel VS real." I could never figure out why the stop watch doesn't determine the winner in a shoot out when you are selling race bikes. It should be Warm and Fuzzy Action.
Would happily buy & race (local level) a '23 RMZ250 but they are sold out like every other 250F near me! 2 local dealers have some '23 KX & CRFs coming in. No YZ250Fs or RMZ250s! All at MSRP too.
A pipe and tune makes all the difference for the Suzuki 250's. Stock, they're kinda gutless and boggy down low. They are only really in the power at the upper end of their RPM range. A pipe + tune broadens the power band MASSIVELY. It takes it from feeling like the power band on a 150, to where it should be as a 250.
Suzuki is a great bike, all Suzuki company has to do, put the bike on a diet and lose few pounds, increase HP/Torque,... That's it. Bike has very good handling, suspension, plastics, great price compared to other brands..... Just my thoughts on that.
Well 2023 models come with full exhaust so that’s a plus but like everyone else said get a top 10 rider pay em good and watch what happens to banana crew!! Being a rm250 owner I dream the day they bring back big bore suk smokers shit they could for sure keep up with every other color smoker. Hop into enduro which has already been done by Austin teyler . Still the best handling and best bottom end 2 stroke ever. Only thing rms needed was better brakes. Roczen team banana 2023🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔👌🏾
@@bradpowell843 what Suzuki should be offering 125, 250, 300, 2-stroke, e-start shave little bit of wight off and kick ass again on track and in sales market and terms of offering different models.
You’re responsible in part for some of Suzuki’s poor sales. When you talk about how terrible the bike is year after year I don’t know what you expect. Take it and post a lap time comparison against some of the others. Go run it with the Honda.
All the "" shootout "" videos, are a big part in the poor sales. Far too People take those videos seriously when they're either paid for videos, or biased as it gets. People see who wins a shootout video, and then say every other bike is a Piecs of shit. Blows my mind. But it shows how ignorant actually are. 99% of folks who talk shit on Suzuki, never even rode one before.
Just playing devils advocate, but I don’t think they’re necessarily saying it’s terrible. They are just constantly talking about how other brands have been innovating and making big changes while Suzuki has not been pushing the envelope. Neither 450/250 has changed since 2019 and MXA is a magazine that will point out flaws. The Suzuki is not a bad bike, but when you compare it to other brands, it is lacking in many areas compared to other brands. If Suzuki keeps the bike this way, they should sell it for msrp $5,500-$6,000. You’ll have an abundance of parts available and allow people like me to get back into the sport easier as a weekend warrior just going out to ride. I’ve seen some dealers running them that low and I’d be all over it to go ride again.
It seems like a good deal until you figure in the amount you would have to put into it. I think the ecu can’t be flashed either so if you want a remap you need a after market ecu
If Roczen goes to HEP Progressive Suzuki I'd expect a significant refresh for the 2024 model. I'd expect Suzuki to invest more into moto as the company attempts to bounce back.
Suzuki needs to get their shit together and concentrate on getting back to the pinnacle of 2 Stroke Technology! Keep their 4-Pukes cheap and entry level, but develop some bad ass Smokers! They would sell everyone they could build! Develop a modern 150, 250-300/ and Open bike!
Oh how we’ve come a long way. Moaning about great brakes and more than ample braking power in the grand scheme of things 😂 just not phenomenal stop on a dime brakes. I think people quickly forget how far bikes have come to moan about so many things. Not just this video but they all seem to do it. Never enough no matter how good things get 🙄
Team yellow throughout the 2022 season is a very rare sight in the races. Hope they'll comeback on 2023. More colors, the better.
If Ken jumps on the RM we will see it a whole lot more. Im looking forward to it
We need Suzuki back as a contender .. It only helps the industry and those bikes r solid if nothing else.. Thnx MXA/Josh 👊😉
Suzuki easily the sexiest bikes, wish they could update them and bring some Enduro and 2-strokes to the table..
I grew up riding and racing Suzuki RM's back in the late 70's and early 80's when Suzuki was kicking ass both Nationals and local tracks.
I hope this brand will dominate again
all they need is Kenny and electric start!
@Duke Bonde Tomac would finish top 5 on a suzuki . No question. Suzuki just can’t afford an elite rider
@Duke Bonde the bike is not that far behind.
@Duke Bonde geez we've never heard that before. 🐑
@Duke Bonde let me guess you haven’t ridden a Suzuki in ten years.

i ride same lap times on easy hard pack track betwenn rm 125 vs rm 250
Id love to see a mildly modded suzuki go up against the shootout winner in 2023, would be a cool comparison
Mosiman was designed from the boots up to do these videos for MXA! Just terrific, every time👍

Still the best looking bikes
All they have to do is make two strokes again
Never happen. Get a new 4-stroke an love it. Electric bikes next!
A 300 two stroke would be awesome!
They could literally just put the old two stroke engine in the new four stroke chassis and everyone would love it.
Suzuki still makes 2 stroke RM85's
All Suzuki needs is someone to pay a top rider to win again!!
They wouldnt take the offer tho
@Duke Bonde that dinosaur beat factory bikes at a lot of races this year 😂😂
Suzuki is the original top dawn of dirt bikes.. they don't care.. they have many championships under there belt
Get behind the line old timer the future is now!!
Simple. Better 39,3HP in use, than 44 in paper.
So my guessing: ECU, engine porting, suspension, clutch, gear box, pipe, the rest is rider triangle and preferences like bar, levers etc.
I still love suzuki and will ride all day!. Love from a Honda fan
Brilliant Josh thanks I like Suzuki RM 250 I do really like see them back raceing in competition again great videos tests 👍💯🇬🇧
Suspension is a must as any bike did mine and love it love a kick start therw.on a Lottworx headlight and I'm set
I love Suzuki
So am I.
Please list what was done to the stock RMZ250 forks, valving wise (which circuits, how many shims), spring rates etc. Thanks.
they are same kyb as a yamaha with double the valving
If you valve the mid valve for .15mm float and remove some base valve shims? its quite nice.
springs. Thats all. Just correct rate springs and enjoy.

I see yellow I click
I thought state fair mx track closed down a couple months ago
Put JS7 on that bike and all these people will shut up!
@Duke Bonde that bike for sure aint but a fast rider can.
When was this filmed? State Fair has been closed for months!
How’s the stock bike for trail riding and just off-road for an old guy?
They are pretty good but a 300 two stroke would serve you better for that application.

There was a guy who comment on a different video of 2023 Suzuki, he tried to say that a factory Suzuki, is not as good as a stock yamaha LOL.
@@MichaelAMyers1957 I think I actually responded to that it was so stupid it caught my attention.
Also the Suzuki is not the heaviest either.
@@MichaelAMyers1957 Yamaha is vastly superior .

It’s actually tuneable via an app, same as Yamaha.

Riding a RM450 is like dating an ugly chick.. You see the potential, so ya keep Banging away !
Bro just dissed Dylan the whole video
5000 dollar VS 25000 dollar . 0,2 sec

Obviously if you aren't a pro rider the bike won't make a difference on your lap time..
I thought suzuki went out of business...
