    A CASE relearn is a Crank Angle Sensor Error relearn, which realigns the position between the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor. This relationship helps the vehicle determine advanced misfires.

    Was wondering if this can also read live data for the ABS system to act like a PICO scope ?

    James, you should've tried it on your Fiesta. I remember you having the engine light come on when you first got the Astra. Come to think of it, you could try it on the Astra as well. The engine problem might've thrown up some error codes.

    If it was under £100 id probably consider it, i use a usb odb2 scanner in a laptop with op com software on my vauxhall, best tool going can program basically every function on the car and does live data + fault codes best £20 ive spent! Dont see the point in £250 for basic features but good review mate!

    If you want full features though, your best off with dedicated tools. As your mainly a Vauxhall guy i can highly recommend a "Vxdiag VCX Nano GM". They are approx £80. Basically they are clones of the GM MDI tool. They need to work with a Windows laptop. They come with a DVD that has a virtual machine on it with "GM Tech II Windows". So you have full main dealer GM tool functionality. With GlobalTIS you can connect your car to GM via the internet. Either using internet sharing on your phone, or using your house wifi. Then you can update all the ECU's on your car to the latest GM software. I updated all the ECU's in my Wifes Astra Elite, engine, auto gearbox. Even update the stereo to the latest software. If your a vauxhall guy and have £80 spare, its a no brainer.

      @Litesnip2022 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Taylor I have opcom but I'm glad I read your comment. I'll check that out for my vectra because I don't think the ECU has been updated since factory.

    • @dj_paultuk7052
      @dj_paultuk7052 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Chris. No, the OpCom does not work with GM GlobalTIS, and so cannot update your cars software from GM. With the VX DIAG, you can update the engine ecu, auto gearbox ecu, abs, radio, Graphic screen and so on. Basically fully update the whole car to latest. With the wifes Astra, it made it alot smoother and MPG seemed to improve. It might have been the changes to the auto box programming.

    • @marksheehan2897
      @marksheehan2897 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got one of these gm vx nano. It's a piece of junk. Tech2win only works on pin number 8 on the Corsa c. Pin3, 7,12 do not work. Tried it on later full can astra h. Low speed and mid speed can don't work. 3 replacements later it still don't work. In fact it caused a none start afterwards. Had to resolve it with vauxcom. The official forum is full of people with this issue but no fix for it and it's now gone offline so no support. Don't waste your money.

    • @dj_paultuk7052
      @dj_paultuk7052 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dont know why you have had so many issues. Not had any issues at all with mine. Updated all engine software on a 11 plate Insignia 2 weeks ago. I have also worked on 4 different Astra H's again, no issue.

      But the cheap tools don't read all the modules, only emissions related stuff. Since I only have one car but wanted a proper but cheap scanner, I opted for the consumer version by Autel, which gives you the pro features, but for only one manufacturer. You can add manufacturer profiles for other cars for 10 bucks each.

    Things like that is too expensive to read data stream only. It must be able to use special functions, for example "turning on radiator fan" and so on. Also it will be good to be able to enter special menu as for example VAG internal menu. Otherwise it's useless.

    id keep goign at it if i were you, otherwise alot of work and sentimental value lost, if i were you id get a small endoscope or use an old phone to record what and where the leak is, hopefully is a simple and quick fix, and oil is very good at sticking to surfaces and can defy gravity so watch out for the coanda effect making the oil appear in different places, also test crank case vent and make sure its clear

    Hi Mate. love your vids and it's good to see you reviewing some stuff. But I would not buy this product because of the suspect reviews on Amazon. Many of them show the typical signs of being paid reviews, check out the reviewers profiles, their buying patterns etc. The first clue is always that the product is coming from a company based in Guangdong.
    I don't know why they resort to such shady tactics as some of the cheap stuff they sell is alright for the price.
    I would recommend anyone using amazon to check the reviews before purchasing such a pricey item.

  • @Litesnip2022
    @Litesnip2022 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    not keen on that. they should of made the screen touch screen and bigger. some of the handheld OBD2 can do the same as this and are a lot smaller. but it's good to see company's sending you items to review.

    • @VeyronBD
      @VeyronBD 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eh I personally prefer buttons for stuff like this, touch screens get filthy really quick and in tools like these they are usually resistive type touch screens so they are never great. Screen could be bigger too, though it might be more vulnerable to dropping etc then (which is probably why they made it so bulky)

    • @VeyronBD
      @VeyronBD 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah its definitely too expensive, really only fulltime and professional mechanics would spend that much on something like this.

    • @Litesnip2022
      @Litesnip2022 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I looks like they have tried to make it look expensive but the software looks basic and there are a lot cheaper handheld ones that do the same for less money. I would be disappointed if I paid that much. I would want it to programme keys, ECU's, CIM for that price. also looks like something out of the 90s as a handheld console lol

    Perhaps next time you should actually play around with the tool before doing a cheesy review. I watched 4 minutes and couldn't watch anymore. 4 minutes of unboxing and guessing what you are looking at doesn't make a good review.
