I had the exact same issue. I just replaced that part and it did the trick! Just twist a quarter turn to the right and remove. Thanks man!! You’re a life saver!

Thank you, I believe this took care of my problem. My brake lights were working sometimes but not always. So now it shifts out of park without pressing the override on the shifter. Most importantly the brake lights work everytime I press on the brake.

I had the same issue and was my back lamp fuse located in the fuse box inside the car, Fuse #142 & it's 15A. Hope this helps. ( 2012 Ford transit connect).

Please edit mistakes. I stopped video at first stab and lights didn't work. So I continued watching rest of video days later and now it works. Thank goodness that wasn't the battery cable put on backwards. Oops sorry guys . My battery exploded. Put it on this way now.
