The issue on this cluster is the earth. The earth wire is too small for amount of current it needs to handle when ALL lights are in use. So apart from replacing the entire cluster, some people add another earth wire by soldering directly to the board and directing it to the earth lug on the van. This too needs to be removed and re-keyed to the body as often the corrosion has insulated the earth from the cluster. increased resistance means higher current, which the board can't handle. This fix here will definitely last another ten years or so. It depends on how long you want the van to last and how trouble free you want it.
Excellent solution. I was wondering what those spade connectors were going to do. They fit perfectly to the lamp unit pins cutting out the corroded plug terminals. As you say these lights will always fail in this way over time. I have hade such hassle with this problem previously so Thank You.
Hi mate I’m having an issue with my rear tail drivers light not working is there only one fuse for the lighting as one I found in glove box ok .. but front fog not working either and checked bulbs
The side light are fused individually there one fuse for the drivers side and one for the passenger side. I believe the fog light is fused separately too. If you drop the glove box there is two fuse bords behind there. The one in front of you as you drop the glove box and ther are two clips on the top of it and that will hinge forward and the second is directly behind it. I’m sorry but I can’t remember wich fuse is for what off and. There is also a fuse box in the engine bay.
Hey buddy love the videos. I have an issue with mk7 transit. No indicator right side front or back or when hazard come on. Also not working right side of dash. You any idea. 2010 model
Thank you. Yes it could possibly be down the the hazard/indicator relay not sure of the location of it unfortunately. The other thing it might be is the hazard switch it self
My mk 7 .same problem.Solved.by earth problem...Bison Parts sell L and R assembly bulbholders new ...Just splice in to original wiring.Voila...Not at all expensive and simple (Like me).....

No problem I’m glad it was of help to you
If you are keeping the original plug it should only fit one way as it’s got a lug that stick out that locates into the bulb holder
Must be exactly the same problem I have....will try it...many thanks
No worries it is a very common issue hope you get it sorted and this helps

@@jonathanryall355 yes I've spent 3 days trying to find relay 😂 never thought of the hazard switch. Thank you
It is possible that the relay is built into the body control module
