Literally (!) every review on TH-cam does nothing but praise the bike. I've yet to find anything negative about the Gsx-r. Sure, some aspects will always be critized (brakes for example), but generally reviews have been absolutely positive!
The reason I feel Suzuki excites the market so much and why they are the weapon of choice for track and street riders is because they always pioneer some new technology or feature that enhances performance, they're strong durable reliable bikes, and they best suit your pocket. I admit the looks may not always match the performance but you can count on some shake up in the industry whenever they announce a new model. Keep it up Suzuki. The king of bike manufacturers in my book.
MotoZest I disagree . Honda has had lots of issues, especially oil issues, various engine issues. Suzuki is the most reliable bike made. The motors never have any issues and They always start right up.
I have an r1. But i love to ride a 600, some people probally know the feeling. The blade is a beautiful example of a 600 in a 1000's body, just well done. Hp don't mean shit here. I know guys on 600's that can leave 1000's in the twisties like they are standing still. Your gonna spend some money buy what you like. Man that sp is just deliciuos. Talent trumps in this game.
Ok i wanted the blade sp but i kept watching this review cause of the way he just kept looking at the suzuki🤔then i found a deal on that same gsxr and i got it!🤗🤗😘He was 100% on the money with this review the engine is" next level" i love the thing! It pull right from go!😲 and it feels good to site on.
It looks likes the fireblades rebound was setup too soft and not enough compression on the front fork too hard. It was bouncing around the track. I have to agree the gixxer engine is awesome, power everywhere compared to the honda. But the honda allows you to drop another gear upon corner entry and keep the revs high. Its much more challenging and rewarding.

Gixxers where always faster than hondas since 1985 , only a short period between 1993 to 1999 honda has a better bike with the first gen blade until suzuki unleashed the first gsxr 1000, but back then suzuki has the best track bike with the gsxr 750 srad, almost a cult bike today. Not surprise for me.
I care about performance per dollar more... Honda: 980 horsepower per ton for 16,499$ Suzuki: 995 horsepower per ton for 14,699$ Lol, Suzuki is the best of both worlds.
This would be a tough decision! The GSX-R has the engine tech (VVT), the power and torque and the stability (longer wheelbase). The Fireblade has the lack of weight, the better fit and finish and the nimbleness (shorter wheelbase). I think they look equally good but both depend a lot on the color (I personally think these matte paint jobs look awful).
I went for the Honda pickup up a 2018 Blade in a few days and the one i test rode was absolutely amazing i know im not on this riders level but alot of people in the comments act like they are, both bikes are stunning and the gsxr i really enjoyed my ride on aswell but the Honda just felt more fun and easy to throw into the corners.... and performance? Idk why it's such a war in the comments with any 1000cc because they are all absolutely bat shit crazy and almost no one can reach their limits haha
the only thing that always bugging the gsxr are the brakes, but it can be rectified by changing the brake pads and brake lines..all the superbikes are getting better and better every time, good for us, still not all bikes are perfect in all ways, just my opinion..i like the gsxr, just like any other bikes, plus the msrp is a bit cheaper than any other bikes out there (the new one)
With the fireblades issues that have been well documented all over the shop, id be worried of a false neutral mid bend on the street but always been a Suzuki fan for a good few years now so it's always gonna be the gixxer for me.
The throttle blipped itself on John McGuiness's bike, the reason why he's out for a few months needing physio and it gave Guy Martin a false Neutral during the TT. Can't remember which youtube channel it was but the tester also got a false neutral during a 1000cc shootout. Says it all mate.
Bike World we assume there are money (or other values) involved because of inconsistent reviews being pumped out constantly. So you do agree the GSXR (on track and I state), will have brake fade when being pushed? Since the R model and base model share the same braking hardware.
hey. 2Chanz's question is a legitimate one though since indeed you stated about the gsxr1000r that the brakes will fade after a few laps(3). So then to any potential owner the questions are: How hard would you need to push to notice the fade? (here you implied that since the bike was not pushed to the limit fade never became an issue so in stock form the brakes of the gsx are better) Have you had the chance to change brake pads to identify whether or not that was the whole crux of the problem or if there may have been more complex factors involved in the brake fading?
Wow that result really suprised me. GSXR's get a lot of stick but its good people are looking past that and realizing what great machines they make, even if they arent as pretty as the rest (in my opinion).
Suzuki doesn't make or engineer any kind of braking system. It's all coming from Tokico, Nissin, or Brembo. Have you bled the system completely to confirm that every last bit of air has been purged? Does your bike have ABS? If so, you'll have to deal with the ABS pumps/modules as well.
That Honda is still the same design frame and engine.same mounts and basic design as 2008 Blade. Fact. Just rebuilt on this model. Head to head, engines might feel different but in reality practically the same.
Bikers Quest I'm pretty sure they made the exhaust like that because it's a easy way to restrict the bike to meet standards and that most people that buy these put aftermarket exhaust on anyway. Why limit the motor when you can just restrict it and have the customer be able to replace it for full potential rather then spend big bucks to make more HP building the bikes motor. Idk that's my 2 cents on why I think they put that huge eye sore on the bike.
Update on the gsxr L7 for the one's who are considering. F#@in beast😲 kill the exhuast out the dealer, full system m4 tech 1. The shit is just a rocket from first gear makes my r1 feel slow. None are flashed yet. Just system are done. My ecu for the r1 just went out. Next week the suzuki will go. 18hp+ on the r1 and 28hp on the L7. It feels and flicks better then the r1. But the power on the L7 is amazing😢😢😭.and I spent 6k less wtf?
Yes the brakes are shit! No feel and the lever goes all the way back for brand new brakes. But with all the money i saved on this thing, i can fix that. 4 that punch and stability i can live with my self.
The gsxr could ride like the best bike in the world. I just cant still believe how shit suzuki finish their bikes and how they can get away with it. Like all suzuki the tank paint is very thin, chips easily and can rub off if not protected.
Both bikes are shit, in my opinion. These "new" features are novel in the context of Japanese bikes but the reality is that a 7 year old S1000RR already has the same capabilities and is still faster.

It's nice to hear someone praise the gsx.

I'm a bigger fan of the honda but you're right that they always have a top contender. Such versatile and intuitive bikes every generation
Suzuki is not ahead of Honda in terms of reliability, mate. Agree on the technology, though.
MotoZest I disagree . Honda has had lots of issues, especially oil issues, various engine issues. Suzuki is the most reliable bike made. The motors never have any issues and They always start right up.
@@shaunsearcy329 yeah, and you forgot Honda's problems with the ABS, which even KTM (the most unreliable bike compared to japanese) didn't have.
@@motozest7856 I sold Honda and Suzuki for over 10 years. There is no warranty data to support your statement.

Test rode the new Gsxr and wow absolutely blown away by just how good it is, nothing comes close to it for the money.
GSX R1000 ... Yum yum... 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
People always hating on the GSXR but when it comes to riding and which one you would get. The GSXR is most of the time the answer
GSX-R1000 MEANS ROAD RACER'S INSTITUTION. ......
WHAT A TORQUEY & RAW POWERFUL MILL MAN.........
GSX-R1000 TILL D LAST BREADTH , ALMIGHTY ........
Yea man, that vvt on the Suzuki had me intrigued from the moment I read about it! Can't wait to try!

CBR IS LOVE
GSX-R EARNED MY RESPECT
Thanks.😎
Solid review, really appreciated it. Simple, clean..
Nice bike the gixer too
The FireBlade rules! 🔥🏍🔥
You didn't mentioned about both bikes suspensions set, stock or tune.
People say GSXR is ugly but I found it so exotic.

Hi!
What is better on the track?
With the fireblades issues that have been well documented all over the shop, id be worried of a false neutral mid bend on the street but always been a Suzuki fan for a good few years now so it's always gonna be the gixxer for me.
Baloney. That only ever happened to the CBR with a race ecu. Regardless the Gixxer is a better bike.

In the last review you said the GSXR's brake fade after 3 laps, yet in this you're saying it's good, did Suzuki pay you?
Why do you guys alway assume there's money involved. It's a different bike, this is the GSX-R1000 and wasn't pushed as much as the R.
Bike World we assume there are money (or other values) involved because of inconsistent reviews being pumped out constantly. So you do agree the GSXR (on track and I state), will have brake fade when being pushed? Since the R model and base model share the same braking hardware.
No money, mate. Whatever we say you'll always know best.

How tall is this lad anyone know?
Gsxr👍
which is best for road use?
Pablo Pérez Honda C90
Suzuki's Brake master cylinders are junk. The brakes are not good. I own this bike and the brakes are mush at the lever.
Not yet, will be purchasing a adjustable Brembo cylinder and SS brake lines. That should give me short pull at the lever.
cnt afford an after market brake set up bro?
Have you upgraded yet? I am curious how the brembo RCS feels on the street. I don't want anything too grabby or heavy on my L7
try change your brake pad
Most comfortable?
David Hardstaff 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The license plates are horrendously huge

That Honda is still the same design frame and engine.same mounts and basic design as 2008 Blade. Fact. Just rebuilt on this model. Head to head, engines might feel different but in reality practically the same.

Blame euro 4
Bikers Quest Yes, but you can kill two birds in one shot, Cat and Silencer just with a clip on.
^The cat is not in the end can
There goes a brit thinking a gsxr isnt part of the 'best of the best' 😂
I bet the S1kRR is tho? ;) Electtonics wise your correct, not performance
gsxr is great but not majority of the people who rides them. here in australia most of them cant ride properly
