Ive had mine since it hit showrooms back in 2017 , ive had 0 issues also , loads of mods inc full yosh & msg racing ecu , and test rode a couple of new models earlier this year , and lets put it this way ill be sticking with my gsxr , awesome machine.👍
Couldn't agree more about cruise control on sports bikes. I've got a gixxer and i get numb hands a fair bit. Can't let go of the throttle most of the time.
I have the GSXR1000R 2019 and love it... cant see me needing to get rid as I also have the GSXS for more comfortable rides. Just need some good weather now !!
I'm a new rider with the GSX-R125 2023 model and I totally love it, I'm about 8 months I'm looking to complete the Direct Access and then go for a 600cc or so. Thanks for this video.
It's not just about sore limbs. Cruise control can save you a big fine and points on your license. Modern high performance bikes make going fast so easy and natural having something keep those legal speeds is pretty much a must.
LCR I'm jealous every time you get to ride the GSXR. I'm a big fanboy of it🤣my old girl GSXR also needs a bit of work to the undertray, mind you it's 16 this year
Lol, quickshifter is smooth and great!. That is more likely the transmission. My previous gsxs with an almost 20 year old gearbox design would fast shift flawlessly up and down with no assistance or clutch other than expected throttle response. Good to 2nd gear with proper method. So yeah... Suzuki gearbox is great
Great video, I agree with you about almost everything, I've had my L7 since new covered approx 6500 miles, this season though has been mainly trackdays and not so much road riding. Only issue what so ever so far is front fork seal that started leaking. I have the non r version upgraded with full system and ECU flash, qs/blipper and a lot of other stuff. It still amazes me.
Who did your flash and are you happy with it? I'm in the same boat with my non-r version and wanting the QS and blipper. Not sure to go with Woolich or FTECU for the tune.
@@johnnymax462 woolish software and woolish/cordona qs/blip. But theres a proper ECU map required from the supplier that carries out the work for you, an flash unlocks the ECU but and new map is what gives you the big difference in engine characteristics and output power :) I had great help from msg racing in the uk. They also updated my tc map with their own one which has been a great upgrade for track riding.
Nice vid despite the mishaps. I've always liked GSXR's & have owned 2 myself before & you've done a great job with yours. Looks & sounds fantastic. Kind of makes a bit of a mockery of the 20k+ standard competition as you still might've spent less overall even with the mods.
I got the 2021 model of this bike, and I do love it! Got rid of my naked and kept this one. (Used to have a sports bike and a naked, Now I only have this and an enduro dirt bike).
Ace vid LCR, so frustrating when you have to re-record stuff, but you did a grand remake! :D Awesome use of the Insta360 One X too. You def pushed it pretty darn hard at the ARD event, I do love Gixers, my body just doesn't bend in the right places anymore for full on sportsbikes though sadly.
Very enjoyable to watch your review. We seem to care about the same little things, cruise control, mirrors, finding neutral; these things really matter when you keep the bike for a long time.
Hi I have a Suzuki Gsxr1000 k8 with a Lextek single pipe/decat pipe and o2 sensor and valve removed and mapped. And Added a quickshifter and dynoed again at Lees motorcycles saying 157.47 hp at the wheel does feel alot more though and the mixture was spot on power is supper smooth as well.
No need to apologise L.C. it was a really enjoyable video, as usual. The bike looks fabulous and the sound is magnificent. Thank you for another entertaining video Mr. Chops.......
I've got 9500 miles on my 2018 bike had it a year now.. the bike has 2 Allen keys under the rear seat- I think one of those keys fits the bolt for your shifter?
I know on that bike, if people flash it with the stock exhaust, very often the cat will collapse because if the heat. I went for the full Yoshi and flash at the same time. Even with the recalls, it's never had a problem.
Very common for the cats to melt or over heat if you tune the bike and don’t use block off plates or plug the pair system because of the extra air being thrown in
Lovely bike chops I had one but my kneck had problems on sports bikes but seeing your review on mt10 I bought 2019 Mt10 and don't regret it . Gixers still have problems with brakes even the latest ones .great update on your fixed thanks from Danny
On the race bikes on top of the usual stuff like pads most in our paddock have swapped to braided lines and changed the master cylinder. Considerable difference pal!
Informative and entertaining as usual. I had the Nitron r2 rear suspension fitted to my 2015 Tracer and it transformed my bike and Nitron spring is blue which is a bonus, especially on your gixer!
Hey Chopsie! What is your feeling of the GSXR1000R after being without it for some time now? I miss my bike so, so much! Everyone told me that I will miss my bike after time and I did not believe them! But I miss it now baaaadly!!! I had exactly the same bike with the Yoshi Alpha T System! It sounded great! Absolutely love the bike! Aside from that as far as traction control and anti wheelie together is inevitable. See essentially when or if your back wheel spins or (breaks traction) it will cut power I'm ecu n shut it down enough till it grabs. Therefore having to essentially give the bike so much power it wheelies is a process of breaking traction grabbing and pulling up.how you said that it would wheelie on a lower setting is cause ecu is cutting less power. Beautiful bit of kit! I love what you’ve done to it. I would love to do similar things to a 750. Never heard of that suspension before I’ll need to check them out.
Whatsup LC 👍🏻 I actually really considered buying a 2019 GSXR 1000R because of your videos and reviews but opted for my dream bike my RSV4 that said it hasn’t changed my mind on the GSXR its definitely a great bike but life is short and you have to follow your dreams!! RSV4 for me brother 👍🏻
Have always liked all Gsxr’s as a bigger bloke they just seem to have more room than other makes 👍still a great video Chops treat her to a toque wrench 🤪😂
Suzuki has best sounding "plain jane" inline 4 cyl. Better than BMW, Kawa, Honda... I think R1 still takes the cake with the crossplane but the GSXR1000 has plenty of character. Sounds like an RX7 rotary.
Bought my 2016 GSX-S750 with 0 miles about a year ago as my first bike. No regrets, and will probably keep it forever. Got a little over 16,000 miles on her now.
Thanks for yet another great video Chops! Thinking about getting a gsx-r they seem like great bikes. Its the traction control kicking in when the front wheel lifts, as the back wheel is spinning faster thats why its very wheelie happy with it's turned down, same on my bike. It probably hasn''t got wheeliecontrol (not checked it though). Take care, Cheers.
Beautiful bike Mr Bond. And the vlog was as entertaining as ever so don’t sweat the stuff that makes your channel so good. Is there a reason we don’t see your trackdays? I’m sure I’m not the only subscriber who would put their hand up for a trackday vlog.
Very good review. Thanks much. Just one question - In your opinion, which one is more comfortable for long riding if you compare this one and new BMW S1000RR?

I've just bought the 2020 gsxr1000 , looking to replace the exhaust with a brocks system , can I ask what air filter you used ? Did you remove the 02 sensor? Keep up the good work love your videos
I had the exact same issue with the cat failing and the bike losing power on my 2012. I bought it brand new and fitted a yoshi slip on and a bazzaz fuel controller with a custom tune. About 6 months later the problem started and suzuki couldn't figure it out. I ended up finding it so just replaced it with a full system
Some people are saying the stock steering damper is useless and needs an aftermarket one, is this true or are they okay with the miles and road riding you have done on it?

Did you record any footage of the suspension fitment at Nitron? Would love see the video if you did. And then the how it feels after review. Custom suspension to rider weight and riding application is the best money you can spend on any upgrade in my opinion but few people do it and opt for bling items instead.
No unfortunately not as they took the bike for a week and fitted it. Of course they then setup sag etc when I collected it again. Made a huge difference having it setup and sprung for my weight. I would highly recommend it
Absolutely agree Husky 701, first thing changed on my Honda CB1000R Neo Sport was rear shock to Nitron, night day difference. LCR review of the bike was enough to sway my decision to buy!
Aye, you don’t buy a pair of jeans that fit from 28-42 inch waist and think, they’ll do. That’s what you are effectively doing by settling for OEM suspension that suits 9st-18st. For adjustable suspension, throw in a belt.

Watching this Video, has me itching to buy a 2018 1 Litre. Thanks for showing this Video Mate, your a smart rider, Cheers Mate, a Stockport guy Man City!! Cheers Again!!
Considering getting a 2017 one of these. Is it better to get a full system or just link pipe and silencer? I'm thinking cost. However reading comments on here are there any issues just doing a link pipe and silencer then getting it mapped?
Baaaa, baaaaa, baaaaa... Good to hear that Suzuki have honoured their recalls, no arguing, no dodging.

No, trust my Panigale V4 S mirrors were useless past 60mph. That was until I binned it...🤦♂️
Ever want to sell it? You'll have a line up of people, Great Job, very smart on upgrades, I agreed with All you said, I've owned a few also. My favourite Bike. Had the 1st one out, then a 2006. Watching this Video, has me itching to buy a 2018 1 Litre. Thanks for showing this Video Mate, your a smart rider, Cheers Mate, a Stockport guy Man City!! Cheers Again!!
I really don’t understand the no torque comment about the FireBlade, i got all kinds of power above 3k rpm. The SP2 is bonkers anywhere above 3k.
I need to borrow another one Michael if I'm honest. I remember it being weaker than the gsxr...
Considering getting a 2017 one of these. Is it better to get a full system or just link pipe and silencer? I'm thinking cost. However reading comments on here are there any issues just doing a link pipe and silencer then getting it mapped?
Where did you get the rear wheel hugger?
Looks really nice.
Still enjoyed that vid Chops, despite the tech issues.
Thanks Dougie
Your bike sounds exactly like mines & I got a titanium Akrapovic exhaust.
03:48 that was hillarious action and statement :D
Hi Chops, for longer rides/motorway which is more comfortable gsxr or 1000rr
