Let me ask this , do people ride for lap times or for the thrill that motorcycles bring. If you chose the latter , the BMW is for you, and me(my skill isn't even enough for a d390 though).

Well, a motorcycle with over 200hp is always a handful. So much power that it is next to impossible for most people to ride it without the safety of electronics. 1000cc supersport machines are an overkill, on any road in the world.

You buying a litre bike to ride fast and brutal! guys who want an easy on ride bike better go by an 125cc. I pay 20k to be quick and badass. My money on the BMW all the way.

BMW would smoke the gixxer anyday but that said Pros would go for the Bmw while new riders would go for the gixxer.
Also the the ownership and build quality is far superior on the BMW.
