This video is really helpful, I just pulled my auto transmission today to do this swap. This video makes this job very simple. Thank you for the upload!
About 45% done...got my old transmission out tonight with the help of a friend. Best reference video out on TH-cam. Thanks man. Always need someone to do the ground work for others to follow.
Even at 45%, getting that big automatic transmission out and seeing it on the ground is such a rewarding feeling! Have fun and enjoy the car when you get it done!
Just in case this helps anyone (work done on a ‘93 KA24DE hatch): When trying to remove the transmission I was having a hard time. What ended up working for me was spacing the transmission out enough so that I could unbolt the torque converter as well. After the torque converter was unbolted, the whole transmission slid out no problem. Couple of Pros to this method: 1) no worries about spilling all the trans fluid in the torque converter 2) less overall space needed to fully separate the transmission from the engine
Hey man, I'm on the final steps of the manual swap in my s13 and I have to say I have looked back at your video so many times and actually have watched twice fully all the way through. I cant express enough how helpful it was for me especially getting the manual trans to mate to the engine. It took me a long time just to get it to clear the trans tunnel but now its in! All that is left is the driveshaft, bleed the clutch line, cut the brake pedal, fill the trans with new fluid and install the shifter and then the wiring. And obviously reassembly of the interior but that's another story haha. Anyway, thanks a lot man you have truly earned a sub from me.
@@TeamBlush I'm eager to see what you are putting together! I Actually just finished the swap yesterday and the wheels turn and everything feels nice and smooth. So I’ve been using this video as a guide to do my 5-speed swap. I’ve been anticipating to do this swap for years now, and this video has been a huge help. I’ve always had anxiety about removing the pilot bearing from the crank. When I got to the point of removing it, I found out some info out that I didn’t know. There are actually two bearing you need to remove. There is a thicker one, that is on the outside of the crank shaft, and another one inside the crank shaft that is thin. I found the best way to get both of these out was with bread. I stuffed some semi wet bread into the hole and beat it with bolt equal size diameter to the hole. It was cheap, and took me about 10 mins to get them both out. I would definitely consider doing this method instead of renting a bearing puller. All I had to buy was a couple different sized bolts from the hardware store, which costed a literal dollar. I used the bolt that fit the best and it was very easy to get them out. Look the method up if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
It's so weird all the different types of situations people seem to get into when it comes to these pilot bearings. Some people seem to have one to get out. Apparently you had two? That's crazy, we've not heard that situation before. We lucked out and didn't have any it seemed. We were aware of that method going into this and were going to film that process if it had been what we actually had to go about doing. Good stuff to mention though!
I'm currently doing my build. If it wasn't for your video, I would had just sold the car already. Super helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to explain. Best video 👍

Always good to hear of another successful swap! Those transmissions are so hard to get to mate up, it probably would have helped a ton if we'd have tilted the subframe. Something to keep in mind for the next time we go about it. Thanks!

Well informed video!! My S14 was manual swapped except it’s running a automatic ecu. What the previous owner tried doing was rewiring to bypass but unfortunately it’s throwing up a P0136 code. I wish Nissan would’ve have made more manuals than automatics lol
That is one nice thing with the S13s, OBD, not OBDII. We're moving to a standalone very soon, but the OEM automatic ECU is dumb enough to trick with the bypass!

This is the best video of all time. Thanks so much for this detailed video! Doing my swap soon and now i can easily do it with the help of this video thanks!!
I got a bit of an issue. So i put the transmission on and everything but for some reason its off center and the driveshaft is too short even tho its a manual driveshaft and an s13 5 speed tranny. Its as if the trannys pushed too far into the motor which makes no sense. Any ideas what it could be? Thank u in advance for the help!
Where does the shifter sit when it's installed? It came to our attention after making the video in the comments that the Nissan D21 transmission that fit up to the KA24E is actually just a bit too short. Given your description, we're thinking it's possible you got a D21 trans and driveshaft. If not, not really sure unless your vehicle has the motor mounts relocated? Frame tweaked a huge amount?
@@TeamBlush appreciate the help man! I ended up just having the wrong driveshaft so i went to get another one and it mounted up perfectly thank you again for the help! Car is running great 😁
Awesome video with tons of good information. Looking to learn how to do it before buying a 240. Found a mint one thats AT; seller has all the parts for the MT swap so that's a bonus. The only problem is the insane prices but if paying a bit more will make me happy I'll gladly do it for my dream car
The prices have certainly gone up even since just the making of this video in particular. We luckily managed to grab our dream car 240 right before the big price hike. Picking up an AT 240 is better in most cases since they generally haven't been beat on as much. Good luck on getting your dream car and getting it manual swapped!
With the throw-out bearing: use a propane or mapp gas torch to heat up the bearing (ONLY the bearing). Thermodynamics is your friend and will result in the bearing expanding enough to slip it off without angry hammering and expletive words of encouragement.
For sure! Looking back on it now, not quite sure why we didn't think of doing that when in just a few clips later we used the cold to shrink it to slip back on. Thanks for the tip! Sometimes common sense slips right past.
Great video my guy Just a quick question, i don't have the connections for the shifter 😢, do anybody know what cables to wire in order to make it work without them? Thanks a lot my friend, excellent video
Thanks! If you search on Google "240sx manual transmission swap - NICOclub" there is a writeup on how to do the wiring bypassing a different way than we did in the video.
Ok so I have a project going on where my s14 is automatic but I’m going to swap a g37 engine. Should I wait and also get the Manuel transmission from the g37 and wait till I swap
Not so sure we're qualified to answer that question for you considering we barely know what we're doing with the s13. This talk of s14 and g37 voodoo is way over our head, haha. That being said.. Doesn't seem to make much sense to put the money and work into a transmission swap only to put something else in later. Put that money and time toward the g37 swap!
Hey love the video! I’ve watched it a million times doing my swap and I just finished today but now I have a problem! My 240 starts and dies unless I give it a little gas, only on start though! It runs fine after it gets going. I followed it exactly and I did it on an s14 with the crank angle sesor. Could it possibly be my auto ecu?
Unfortunately don't have any experience with the s14 and won't be able to help much in that regard. Could be wrong, but nothing should have been changed on the engine, so wouldn't think the ECU would be the issue. Wish we had a better answer for you!
We only had one dust shield on our application, but the lower half dust shield can be slipped between the block and bell housing of the transmission once it's mostly in place. The starter is bolted on after the transmission is installed.
perfect video. I'm currently swapping mine as well. just one question about the throwout bearing assembly. I tried to mount it as you shown, but I can't fit it on the shaft that way. should it be the other way around?
The way we assembled it in the video should be the only way it can correctly go together. The clutch fork arm must be faced in the direction where the spring indexes with the pivot ball and the throwout bearing will only index with the arm in the orientation we have it in the video. You may look at whether or not you have the correct clutch fork arm and throwout bearing? We recall it being a little tricky to put together on the shaft, but not impossible.
We'll have to check out some videos on it and see if we somehow got it wrong. Otherwise the way we did it seems to have been working out so far. Glad to hear you got it figured out!
Unfortunately our method for getting the parking switch bypassed was a bit of a shot in the dark and we don't know the actual wiring diagram/layout of how it was done. We honestly just kept holding those automatic shifter wires together until we heard the solenoid/mechanism click. If you can't figure it out with our automatic shifter wire method, you can look at the method for bridging the wires in the engine bay as people originally did. The 3rd writeup in the description of the video has that explained. Sorry we couldn't be of more help. :(
Hey can you help me understand this one part You said you lived up the pilot bearing , lubed it with what ? And what kind of grease should I use on the input shaft I appreciate you sm rn :(
The lubrication that was done on the pilot bearing was more than likely just simple engine oil, but it has been a while and not for sure. Just figured it helped with pressing it into place. As for the input shaft, pretty sure we didn't use any grease, but from what we're aware it's a good idea to use anti-seize compound. Should be available at your local auto parts store. :)
Yes, pretty sure this is a breather hose for the case to ventilate. Shouldn't be an issue if it's missing, so long as it's not plugged? Unsure if transmission fluid could potentially leak from that area without a hose or not.
Swap went pretty well for me, thanks! Except one bracket in the heat shield for the exhaust doesn't mount up to the manual trans and now makes a lot of rattling, did you run into this as well? Also, reverse lights didnt work on my end :( guess I'll try buying a new sensor
Good to hear things went relatively smooth for you! The only bracket that we ran into issues with and deleted was the one at 35:45 in the video. We didn't have any rattling after getting rid of it though. The reverse lights can be finicky, it seems. We very recently ran into a situation where ours stopped working completely after an engine swap, then randomly began working again.
@@TeamBlush Ah thanks for the quick reply! Yeah I took the one off at 35:45 as well. Also took one off near the front of the trans tunnel to make room for the trans to go in. It was not necessary just did it for extra room and the rusty bolt snapped unfortunately causing half of the bracket to remain inside the heat shield. Appreciate it tho! Guess ill hit up a muffler shop to try and get that bracket removed to stop the annoying rattling. Regarding the reverse lights ill test my sensor later to see if it is the problem, or if the wiring is the issue. Thanks for the help!
Just finished my AUTO to manual swap, I’ve completed the bypass for the lower plug-in on the fuse box, but I’m getting no priming of the fuel pump, and no crank…. Any ideas?
Check those fuses if you haven't done so already. Don't believe the fuel pump should have been effected by the bypass loop of the neutral safety switch, but could be mistaken. Sorry to not be of much help, but looking through the notes we used for this swap, it doesn't look like anything should deal with those systems except for the single tan/black wire you connect as the bypass.
Hey man great video ! Quick question, for the drive shaft can you reuse the carrier bracket from the auto drive shaft? Or would you have to look for one that came with the manual drive shaft? My drive shaft seems to be missing those brackets that’s why I ask. Thank you!
Thanks! Yes, we reused the same carrier bearings from our automatic transmission and it's working properly. You shouldn't have to get a manual driveshaft specific carrier set.
There was no pilot bearing or automatic adapter bearing for us to take out in our case. Typically you would use a slide hammer or bread method to remove the automatic adapter bearing prior to installing the manual transmission pilot bearing.
Hopefully you can help me Out in time, I’m doing finishing my swap this weekend and all I need is the wiring. What size wires should I use to connect the reverse lamp switch? Thanks In advance
Pretty sure we used something like 14 or 12 gauge wiring. Should look near identical to thin gauge speaker wiring. You might actually have some lying around the house. Good luck!
Anything is possible! Whether or not it's easy is another story. Won't be able to be of much help on that project, but since it's an Infiniti, we'd imagine it's going to be a little more involved.
The prices on a lot of stuff is ridiculous in the s13 world right now.. Really glad we did the swap when we did, but it sucks so much to hear people having to shell out so much for the same stuff at 3x the cost these days. Hope you manage to find a cheaper route.
Hey man I’m new to the 240 game and i just got one a couple days go. i got a p0705 which is transmission range sensor how do i get rid of that if that’s possible i know there a bypass but so far i haven’t seen any video online my car was auto but made a Manuel i did see the full video and i believe i have those wires connected to each other but just wondering if you ever got a code and does it pass smog (if your in ca ) after the swap ?
Hey, unfortunately won't be able to be of much help in this case. Our s13 doesn't have OBD-II readouts and we're not in a state or county that requires smog. Our ODB I ECU could have been throwing light codes after we bypassed our sensors, but we never took note since it wasn't a burden to actual function of the vehicle.
As much as it'd suck to take apart if you've already got it all back together, it'd probably be best to get some on those bolts given how much vibration is going to be occurring in that area.
Looking to do this swap myself, research has brought me here. Thanks a ton for the informative video. Any rough estimate on cost? I’ve heard around the $500 - $600 mark, but wasn’t sure if that was current prices or in the past.
No problem! Yeah, it was right around that $600 mark. We'd estimate a little more for things like gear oil, unaccounted bolts, tools, etc. Luckily we were pretty thrifty and managed to get stuff for a deal and had friends to help out with tools.
Thank you! We're not completely sure what that orange hose was. Possibly a breather hose? It hasn't seemed to have caused any issue just being there not hooked up to anything.
Whats that red tube you have connected to the trans? Asking cause ive never seen that before and dont want to put my trans in if its like a cooling like or something
That is not a cooling line. Pretty certain that is just a vent hose for case pressure in the transmission. It doesn't need to be hooked up to anything.
It's a bit of a mess and sounds stupid, but we've heard of a method using bread, a bolt, and a hammer.. Look up "How to Remove a Pilot Bearing with Bread" on TH-cam. Good luck!
Unfortunately not sure if it would make the wiring portion of the swap easier or not. We never did the research on the specifics of a manual ECU and its associating harness because we didn't plan on using those. Honestly it was easy enough to bypass the wiring without the manual ECU and harness that unless you're wanting to keep things completely OEM, it might not be worth the price to use those. Sorry we couldn't answer your question.
Depends on where you're located, we found our drive shaft and transmission from a Facebook marketplace seller. Junkyards and Ebay also have the potential to have what you need.
@@TeamBlush we got everything in but the car will not go in to gear while it’s on clutch fully pressed it doesn’t go into gear only when the car is off and when you put it in gear while it’s off and push the clutch in and try and start it it moves towards like your not pressing the clutch do you have any idea what it could be
Hey, if we'd read through your comment correctly, we think it might have to do with the direction you installed your clutch since it sounds like it's engaged 100% of the time. Clutch disks are directional. That'd be our best guess, honestly, sorry if it doesn't help that much. Let us know what it ends up being so we can get an idea of how to help people in the future!
Funny cuz the s14 and d21 hardbody transmission will bolt on to the ka24de but you will have problems because the d21 hardbody is shorter and the s14 is longer so no you cant fit them on you will have length issues
Oh, is that the case for that combination? That's good to know for the future! As far as we were concerned there was no difference when it came to length other than the driveshaft differences from automatic to manual. Please refer us to somewhere to confirm that, because we seemed to get what we found to be an s14 transmission into our car with no issue.
I was planning to drill the d21 tail housing through. And build an external linkage like a Z33 trans. I got this idea looking at the cross section of a nv3500.
Enjuku Racing has a tab on their website dedicated to products you may need for this manual swap. As for the driveshaft and transmission it would probably be easiest to source through Facebook Marketplace or Ebay.
I’m honestly on the same position. My 97 240sx is running a 95 ecu but is displaying cels. I tried to rewire to trick the ecu but it’s not as easy. I rather just buy a 97 my ecu but they’re hard to find
@@erickchirino8088 That's unfortunate to hear the later s14 models aren't as simple to swap as the s13s are, but good luck in getting it running properly.
Picked up the trans sight unseen from a Marketplace post. Managed to get it at a price under $200 if recalling correctly, but prices are getting higher for them. If possible, drain the trans of fluid and have a look at it before buying!
The only thing we can think is that maybe your reverse light switch is in a different location on that transmission. It might be smart to do a continuity check with a multimeter on the two wires coming off the sensors while the transmission is in reverse to find which is the guaranteed reverse light switch. Hope that helps!
It took us a full 5 days, but that was due to filming, messy work schedules, etc. I would estimate this could be done in a good 2-3 days if it's your first time and much quicker if you've done it before.
The speedometer sensor was already attached to our manual transmission when we purchased it. Honestly unsure if there is a difference between the manual and auto sensors.
Okay and one more question I tested the parking wires in the interior by the shifter and I was able to take off my key even when the wires weren’t connected. And I saw on your video you couldn’t take off your key when the wires weren’t connected. Any idea why that’s happening to me, I guess I don’t need them connected for me.
That is pretty curious. Suppose there is nothing wrong with not bridging those wires, but that could mean there is a short somewhere else. That's our guess at least, electrical isn't our forte. One less step to do, haha!

Car is running great 😁
Good to hear it was as simple as that!
What a fantastic video for the community, helped me out a lot. Thank you sir
Saving all the s13s from the "boring" automatic life, one person at a time! Glad the video helped you out.
almost to the end! i just need to install the trans!!
Getting the automatic transmission out is the most tedious part, installation is exciting!
We thank you. We are planning to do this soon
and your video saved us lots of headaches. AA++
You're welcome, send that automatic transmission to the scrap yard!
Thank you this helped me through my swap big time!!
Always great to hear yet another swap has been a success! Have fun out there!
As soon as I took off the bracket in the middle of the driveshaft it dropped down and three scorpions fell onto our faces lmfao
We certainly didn't encounter scorpions during our manual swap process.. There were quite a bit of wasps nests though!
Great job very detailed and explained!!
Thank you very much!
Amazing video!! I’m about to start my swap soon, I’ll let you know how it goes
Awesome! Can't wait to hear back.
thank you dude
this video helped a lot 👍🏻
No problem, glad it helped!
Nice work.
Thanks!
Amazing video!
Thank you!
Big up! Great manual
I couldn't see the two green cables. How did you connect them? I would like to know where they are from.
In what part of the video are you referencing?
With the throw-out bearing: use a propane or mapp gas torch to heat up the bearing (ONLY the bearing). Thermodynamics is your friend and will result in the bearing expanding enough to slip it off without angry hammering and expletive words of encouragement.
For sure! Looking back on it now, not quite sure why we didn't think of doing that when in just a few clips later we used the cold to shrink it to slip back on. Thanks for the tip! Sometimes common sense slips right past.
Great video my guy
Just a quick question, i don't have the connections for the shifter 😢, do anybody know what cables to wire in order to make it work without them?
Thanks a lot my friend, excellent video
Thanks! If you search on Google "240sx manual transmission swap - NICOclub" there is a writeup on how to do the wiring bypassing a different way than we did in the video.
"shorter like my friend dave" lmao
1:20:40 sensors diagram start
There is a list of timestamps in the description of the video!
This video saved my life tysm lol
Always happy to hear the video helped someone! You're welcome!
Should the starter and two lower transmission covers be partially installed prior to installing the transmissions itself.
We only had one dust shield on our application, but the lower half dust shield can be slipped between the block and bell housing of the transmission once it's mostly in place. The starter is bolted on after the transmission is installed.
Grease and bread take out the bearing quite easy
For sure! We used that method during our KA24E turbo build and it was pretty quick and easy.
Super helpful video. Is that Ebay clutch kit holding up 2 years later?
Ebay clutch is surprisingly still holding up. We'll see how it holds up to our upcoming project, haha.
perfect video.
We recall it being a little tricky to put together on the shaft, but not impossible.
well I tried to see some other videos and guides. and all of them do it the other way, which is much easier and make sense
We'll have to check out some videos on it and see if we somehow got it wrong. Otherwise the way we did it seems to have been working out so far. Glad to hear you got it figured out!
My s13 parking switch has 5 wires. Red, blue, black, white and another black. Looking to bridge them and can't get it to work, so help is appreciated.
Hey can you help me understand this one part
You said you lived up the pilot bearing , lubed it with what ? And what kind of grease should I use on the input shaft
I appreciate you sm rn :(
The lubrication that was done on the pilot bearing was more than likely just simple engine oil, but it has been a while and not for sure. Just figured it helped with pressing it into place. As for the input shaft, pretty sure we didn't use any grease, but from what we're aware it's a good idea to use anti-seize compound. Should be available at your local auto parts store. :)
What is the orange line on the transmission. Looks like a breather hose, mine is missing should I be concerned
@@TeamBlush Fashoo man, I appreciate the reply
Hey man great video ! Quick question, for the drive shaft can you reuse the carrier bracket from the auto drive shaft? Or would you have to look for one that came with the manual drive shaft? My drive shaft seems to be missing those brackets that’s why I ask. Thank you!
Thanks! Yes, we reused the same carrier bearings from our automatic transmission and it's working properly. You shouldn't have to get a manual driveshaft specific carrier set.
Team Blush thank you very much!
so did you remove pilot bearing out of automatic before installing the one
There was no pilot bearing or automatic adapter bearing for us to take out in our case. Typically you would use a slide hammer or bread method to remove the automatic adapter bearing prior to installing the manual transmission pilot bearing.
Hopefully you can help me
Out in time, I’m doing finishing my swap this weekend and all I need is the wiring. What size wires should I use to connect the reverse lamp switch? Thanks In advance
Pretty sure we used something like 14 or 12 gauge wiring. Should look near identical to thin gauge speaker wiring. You might actually have some lying around the house. Good luck!
I was unable to get my driveshaft off after soaking it in bp blaster for 48 hours and multiple applications
That's crazy.. but don't give up!
I have a 1996 Infiniti G20 Sr20de. Engine it's auto, I wanted to see if it's possible make certain models standard .?
Anything is possible! Whether or not it's easy is another story. Won't be able to be of much help on that project, but since it's an Infiniti, we'd imagine it's going to be a little more involved.
My anxiety is through the roof! I sourced a transmission it comes with all the original swap parts out a s13 and it’s $1,700 sheeesh
The prices on a lot of stuff is ridiculous in the s13 world right now.. Really glad we did the swap when we did, but it sucks so much to hear people having to shell out so much for the same stuff at 3x the cost these days. Hope you manage to find a cheaper route.
Hey man
I’m new to the 240 game and i just got one a couple days go. i got a p0705 which is transmission range sensor
how do i get rid of that if that’s possible i know there a bypass but so far i haven’t seen any video online my car was auto but made a Manuel
i did see the full video and i believe i have those wires connected to each other but just wondering if you ever got a code and does it pass smog (if your in ca ) after the swap ?
Hey, unfortunately won't be able to be of much help in this case. Our s13 doesn't have OBD-II readouts and we're not in a state or county that requires smog. Our ODB I ECU could have been throwing light codes after we bypassed our sensors, but we never took note since it wasn't a burden to actual function of the vehicle.
W VIDEO
W COMMENT!
i didnt put threadlocker on pressure plate when installing , is this an issue? thanks
Hey mate. Nicely done video. Whats that orange line on the gearbox.
Thank you! We're not completely sure what that orange hose was. Possibly a breather hose? It hasn't seemed to have caused any issue just being there not hooked up to anything.
@@TeamBlush after you mention it's a breather I googled it and it is correct and it vet to atmosphere from the box to release pressure. Thanks
Help! ASAP!! I have the trans lifted up but the crossmember is not matching up to the frame
Did you remember to make sure to get a manual transmission crossmember and not an automatic? They're different!
@@TeamBlush yeah we found out about that thank you
Whats that red tube you have connected to the trans? Asking cause ive never seen that before and dont want to put my trans in if its like a cooling like or something
That is not a cooling line. Pretty certain that is just a vent hose for case pressure in the transmission. It doesn't need to be hooked up to anything.
@@TeamBlush Did you not use the manual harness?
We did not use a manual transmission wiring harness, no.
mannnn i cant get my automatic pilot bearing out even tho i tried the tool from autozone, any suggestions
It's a bit of a mess and sounds stupid, but we've heard of a method using bread, a bolt, and a hammer.. Look up "How to Remove a Pilot Bearing with Bread" on TH-cam. Good luck!
Would it make the wiring part of the swap easier if you have a manual ecu and harness?
Unfortunately not sure if it would make the wiring portion of the swap easier or not. We never did the research on the specifics of a manual ECU and its associating harness because we didn't plan on using those. Honestly it was easy enough to bypass the wiring without the manual ECU and harness that unless you're wanting to keep things completely OEM, it might not be worth the price to use those. Sorry we couldn't answer your question.
@@TeamBlush no worries thanks for the reply and great video 👍
where could you find the drive shaft and manuel transmission?
Depends on where you're located, we found our drive shaft and transmission from a Facebook marketplace seller. Junkyards and Ebay also have the potential to have what you need.
@@TeamBlush just bought a CD009 wish me luck!!! Doing research now!!
Good luck! We've actually been looking into the CD009 swap recently as well. Looks like an awesome upgrade.
@@TeamBlush :D I have no idea what I'm doing!!!!!
Luckily it should be pretty similar to our video!
I have a question that long red/orange cable on top of the transmission where does it bolt on?
That is just a vent hose and it should have a bracket that bolts it to the bellhousing.
@@TeamBlush so it doesn't matter in which bolt it goes.
Nope, shouldn't matter at all.
@@TeamBlush ok thanks. Ill get it bolt on 1st thing tomorrow morning
Can I use the auto driveshaft carrier bearing bracket for the swap?
Yes, you can!
@@TeamBlush Thank you bro. About to do the swap soon. Great video!
Thanks and good luck!
Do you have to use the flywheel shim ?
We don't recall anything about a flywheel shim or using one, but you might double check and make sure before omitting it.
Are the steps the same on an s13?
The 240sx in this video is an s13, so I'd imagine so, yes.
@@TeamBlush yea I was just in the middle of a swap from a truck transmission to my 240sx and it came up short 4 inches where the shifter hole is
@@SlickEd91 That's unfortunate, we'll have to keep that in mind for the future, no doubt.
I was planning to drill the d21 tail housing through. And build an external linkage like a Z33 trans. I got this idea looking at the cross section of a nv3500.
Where do you suggest getting the parts for this because I want to do a manual swap on my s13 but i don’t know where to get the parts and etc.
Enjuku Racing has a tab on their website dedicated to products you may need for this manual swap. As for the driveshaft and transmission it would probably be easiest to source through Facebook Marketplace or Ebay.
@@TeamBlushalso don’t you need a clutch fork?
Yes, the one we sourced on Facebook Marketplace included one, but you will need to source it if yours did not.
@@TeamBlush thank you
No problem! Good luck when you get around to your swap.
Hello friend, I need a 240sx computer that has manual transmission to do the swap?
You do not need a manual transmission computer/ECU to do this swap.
I’m honestly on the same position. My 97 240sx is running a 95 ecu but is displaying cels. I tried to rewire to trick the ecu but it’s not as easy. I rather just buy a 97 my ecu but they’re hard to find
@@erickchirino8088 That's unfortunate to hear the later s14 models aren't as simple to swap as the s13s are, but good luck in getting it running properly.
do you need a new ecu/wiring harness?
You do not need a new ECU or wiring harness!
@@TeamBlush also where did you get the trans from? how much is a good price for a manual and what are some major flags to look for?
Picked up the trans sight unseen from a Marketplace post. Managed to get it at a price under $200 if recalling correctly, but prices are getting higher for them. If possible, drain the trans of fluid and have a look at it before buying!
used an 89 tranny everything was right until it came to my reverse light idk how to get it working
The only thing we can think is that maybe your reverse light switch is in a different location on that transmission. It might be smart to do a continuity check with a multimeter on the two wires coming off the sensors while the transmission is in reverse to find which is the guaranteed reverse light switch. Hope that helps!
Ok but how long did it take you to do it like plz awnser
It took us a full 5 days, but that was due to filming, messy work schedules, etc. I would estimate this could be done in a good 2-3 days if it's your first time and much quicker if you've done it before.
Did you have to use a manual speedo sensor?
What was the total price? To change it
It was around $600-700 when completely finished.
Now if you replace your turn signal stalk, you lights will flip down.
Not sure we're following you on this one. Why would they do that?
@@TeamBlush the first thing i did when i got my 240, was fix the pop up lights. I can't stand the look of them sticking up.
Gotcha'! Luckily ours works fine. Stalks are a bit crusty 'n' old, but our lights pop up and down without trouble. :)
I've got a manual truck that I will trade for an automatic It's a hard body
The automatic transmission in this video has long since been sold, sorry!
so if i have an SR20DET auto, do i still have to use a ka manual trans ??
Haven't looked into that, but we're pretty sure the SR20 transmission had a much different bellhousing than the KA.
