Whats up guys, so I’ve been getting a ton of requests lately for a rod/reel arsenal. Here I cover the “Go-tos” but I’ll provide a full list in the description of every setup I’ve been using this year and for which baits. -GB
man greg, I thought i was the only kayak fisherman that uses a bunch of 7'6 rods. I use 4 out of 6 or 7 baitcasters are 7'6 rods, and the others are 7'2 and 7'3. People ask me about them all the time and look at me like I'm crazy, and tell me I shouldn't be using long rods from a kayak, but I do much better with them. I have more reach, I can flip further, I can cast further, etc. I'm glad to see someone as successful as you uses similar gear. That's awesome. I just had a top 10 finish in a kentucky kayak tourney a week ago on a grass lake, so theres def. something to it.

Greg, always love watching you on the Delta. Went to Dick's the other day. I saw that exact frog, and they were on sale. I have many frog's, but not white. So I bought 3, and this weekend caught my PB. 7.7 LB'S. And it was clean, tall grassy water. I didn't wanna let him go lol..So I kissed his head, thank you sir, and he even gave me the dance. I've learned the slow release on the side of my yak. Stay safe bro, great vid.🙏🎣🤟

I just got a dobyns champ xp 735 for frogging, and it is awesome. The action is super crisp and has a stupid strong backbone. It almost feels like a light swimbait rod.

ALWAYS encourage me and teach me to fight on when I am not having my best day on the water....you always stay positive! 2. On frogs and top water (prior vid) I always count to 3 or 4 after the strike before I set hook. Works wonders for me on a frog. Keep em coming dawg!

I recently purchased a fishing kayak, bow mount trolling motor and all the added necessary fishing gear. I am not new to the San Joaquin Delta. Have been fishing it for 30 years. Bank fishing, float tube fishing, Bass Boat fishing. But, I am new to kayak fishing. I would like a list of the access of easy access points that you use on the Delta. Would very much appreciate. JDK

Tips on setting a hook on the frog?
I have notice you tend to not cast very far. I realize some lures or types of fishing like jigs etc. do not require distance but other I prefer to get distance with my casts as to not spook fish..

Try putting on a kietch on the back of your buzzbait. I’ve found I’ve gotten way more bites with a paddle tail trailer over a frog 👍🏻

Hey man, what kind of water temps are you guys getting out there? Much cooler than here I would assume - we're in the low 90s by mid-day, starting out in the high 80s. Makes it super tough- I've been going out in the mornings throwing a buzz bait and frog around but- aong other moving baits but- no luck. I think I'm gonna have to give in and slow down, drag a worm or something. Sucks- I missed spring due to all the flooding and storms- and now it's already too hot. This season is pretty much shot- unless fall turns out to be one helluva ride. I have seen that happen- first year I started back it sucked all year and then fall came and something changed- they just started biting.

Greg, how often does Native come out with a new model? Looking at the Titan 12 possibly but wasn’t sure if they would be introducing a newer upgrades anytime soon that is worth waiting for? Also, have you ever run into logs or rocks with your propel drive?

Greg you should try out the jackall kaera frog it's a smaller profile frog the is still a 1/2 oz so it's still got great capability Iive gotten a ton more bites and a lot of big bites since I switched to it
i use a 7 ft heavy with braid with the buzzbait and they seem to hook themselves i rarely miss a buzzbait fish and never set the hook just lean in to it a little when you feel the weight , i've been catching a lot of frog fish this summer here in n.c. , great videos
