Hey Greg, I appreciate you plugging/supporting the Tackle Warehouse and HoW collab. I've been out a few times with the Emerald Coast HoW chapter and it's people like you who make it possible. Many thanks.
@@GregBlanchardFishing dude ur such an inspiration. I’m thinking of finally buying a yak and getting out onto bigger water for bigger fish. My pb is 5.9 but I just can’t break it and ponds seem to be less and less giving.
@@taranmehta6356 When you are looking to break your PB go out on random days with extra large baits to accomplish this. That is what I do anytime I am looking to target a PB, you may not get many bites but when you do they are monsters!
Greg epic day out there bro. We're all thankful for our H.O.W. It's what allows us to build our kayaks, and fish free on many different bodies of water. We thank them all.🙏 🇺🇸 🎣
Greg's honesty "I'm going to make an excuse right now cuz it's going to make me feel better"😅 you're getting big bites and that's what matters let's go🎣🎣🎣
I know that feeling bro! Those ones you lose haunt you for real. But that's what keeps us going back for more right? There's always that chance of the next cast...
Don't ever stop doing this, Greg! I feel like I fish far more than I do because of your channel man. Amazing fish - what a fantastic way to catch them on this bad ass fishery. \m/
Greg if Wrigley’s doublemint gum twins commercials could last from the 70’s-90’s and beyond and capture the lives of so many people chewing gum why can’t a double buzz bait capture so many big bass for today! What an epic and beautiful time on the water thank you for sharing these fall days with us! Tight lines, take care and God bless!
Hey Greg, over the years I have learned that if I keep the rod in the same position as long as possible after the hookset occurs (left or right side of the kayak), I lose less bass. I have watched you lose 6 or 7 big bass by quickly moving your rod to the right side of the kayak, or vice versa, when we should hold it on the left or right longer to allow a deeper hookset while fighting the big bass.
I don’t think a buzz bait imitates anything in nature. I think the commotion and noise of the blade just creates a pure reaction strike. Epic day man holy crap those were some incredible blow ups.
It's awesome to see how productive the buzz bait is now that you're using the paddle-tail as your trailer. While I know you liked using the frog with the buzz bait, I've always felt that having a paddle-tail was so much more tempting for bass.
Double buzz-baits are awesome (especially on the Delta)! I ALWAYS throw the double buzz when throwing buzz baits - you can slow it down and keep it in the strike zone longer and it has a larger noise and size profile making it ideal when the fish are aggressively reacting to top water. My 9+ pounder came on a double buzz on the Delta ...scared the crap out of me when she hit. She literally destroyed the buzz bait! Keep on Bassin"!
My home waters of Lake Berryessa. I spent a lot of time on that lake as a kid. Great spotted bass fishing back in the 90s. Its been a very long time since I went back.
That double bladed with the clackers is an amazing bait. I bought 6 a couple weeks ago and haven’t been out yet. Now I can’t wait to try it. I have thrown it here off my dock and it is noisy as heck. Those were amazing blow ups on that thing. Thanks for the video and the FISHING ENERGY!!
@@chundle09you'll catch those same fish on a regular buzz bait w/ the knocker. Double buzz is like buying a truck then you want to upgrade to the 4x4 extended cab lol
Nice fish in spite of some getting loose. Thanks for sharing your lures - we have a tournament on Berry on the 9th since CalTrans is working on the Rio Vista Bridge (changed the Delta venue.) Glad you brought your net too! Nothing more frustrating than having the bass come off right at your kayak 🙁 Please continue your adventures 👍👍👍
You California guys been killin it. I was in the Headwaters monthlong Helene benefit October tournament , and came in 7th out of 83 kayaks.. and 5 out of the 6 ahead of me were California guys..(one was from texas) Im in middle Georgia...
Wow what a great day Greg, you killed it out there or it seems like you did lol. I agree I absolutely can't figure out why bass like buzz bait. I think it imitates injured bait fish. Thanks for another great video bro can't wait for the next one.
Great video of an awesome day on the water. Very nice quality bass. Had me in stitches with in the first couple minutes. Yep, that IS a large fish.😂😂 That lake has bigger in too. Glad to see the lake lookin good and producing quality fish. Getting real tired of the tiny bait thieves of the Delta. Videos like this make me wanna ditch work and go have a good day myself.🤘🍻🍻 Just gotta find somebody else to pay my bills for me.🤣🤣🤣
I felt your pain with that big one man! I think you'd be better with the throttle control on the left side so when you do get a bite you're not reaching across your body to turn the motor off you can just take your left hand off the reel handle quickly reach down and flick it off
@GregBlanchardFishing i had a similar scenario this year, ever since I switched he'd it i haven't found myself losing anywhere near as many fish as I was
Good morning Greg, have you ever thought of maybe putting your throttle control on your left side so you don't have to reach across your body to work it?
I'd say the big blade chatter is better then the OG, why obviously bigger thump and still deliver small presentations sometimes. ❗🤝💪💯🔥 My opinion/theory
It's ok Greg...lol I lost a 9lb-10lbr on a spook a couple of weeks ago too...and then a 8lbr the following weekend.....still hurts to think about it 😆😆😆
I do the same thing with my Xi3. I reach for the remote to turn it off and lose fish. Also if I don't reach for it I'll get into a weird angle and lose the fish. lmao
Yes i agree 100%. You have no reason to be playing with the motor while you're hooked up. Just let the fish bulldog and play it out. Where you gonna go? Not like you're in the tress and rods are breaking.
Great video. First encounter with your channel. You might consider a better solution for your audio as it’s very muffled compared you all my other angler subs. Great setup for fishing!
Hey maybe you can point me in the right direction.. I’m looking for a sit on top kayak that is over 12 ft long. My highest priority is paddling performance. Bonus is being able to stand. With my research I’ve narrowed it down to the crescent lite tackle 2 and the tarpon 120.. am I on the right track? Or is there another kayak that comes to mind?
Greg” glad I brought the net today” then proceeds to boat flip the rest of the day🤪.. good day of chunks 👏👏
🤣🤣🤣

fun day out there indeed👊
Solid episode, appreciate you sharing. Glad you had a fun time out there 🫡
Congrats on the epic buzz bait clinic. The search begins for the double buzz.
“I need a drink of water here….” 😂😂😂😂. Great day for sure Greg👍🏼
haha it was a fun day for sure
Not many people are comfortable with both righty and lefty reels, especially for reaction baits! Well done dude!

Top water is definitely an Adrenalin rush, even when watching someone else!
I felt the moment also

The way that rod loaded... heart breaker. Was thinking about taking the boat out there this weekend as well 🤔.

Congrats Greg, that big girl was something and you didn't even have to leave the marina, that 1st Gen double buzz was cool.
best days are when the fish are right near where you launch!
Sheeeeeeeesh. Hopefully I’ll get a day like this eventually 😂. Good stuff dude!!!
I just picked up my first buzz bait, haven't had it's day to shine yet, looks like a damn good time. That double buzz is so sick
right on. keep it in the box and one day it will be one of the best bites
Epic half day double buzz awesome crazy bite I thought that was tackle box decoration I’m going to try it on the delta
Alright time to get a double buzz 😎😂 good shit man
That double buzz has been catching some bigs not just on your channel!!

“Scoping out the water” 😂😂
haha if it were a tournament I woulda actually needed the scope🤣

Nice fish, wish I was there.
Another great video Greg.

haha delta dinks have been abundant lately but I stil l will take them as I know its going to get real tough out there in about a month!

Wonderful ✨ Only very good fish ‼️
Buzzbait day is the best day
Topwater Baby!!
Probably, one of the cleanest hits on the buzzbait I’ve seen. Curious as to how big that fish was, it was definitely a tank. 🍻
Wow, those were some violent strikes! MN state record largemouth was caught on a double buzz in the fall.
shoot! what did it go weight wise?

Hella trip, on one shot from behind I thought Greg had on a 🔵 🧢, I knew better I suppose....
🤣
Greg @9:55 you did it again. There was a strike and you reached down to turn off the forward motion. Love your videos.
Greg….thank you sir
Keep them vidz coming GB!! Tight lines!!💪 🫡
I guess the double buzz is what my tackle box is missing
Super sick!!!! About to send out to catch salty bass!!!
At least you guys are getting a fall. Southern Oregon went straight to winter. 😢
Great day at work..
can you do a video short of the dynamic dollie? how you transport ,launch ,and load...
Throw a little trailer hook on there! I don’t fish without em

Awesome day out on the water I'm not liking the time change it just creates less chances to get out for all of us that work.
Awesome day. Do you ever use a trailer hook? Great vid. Thanks.
Trailer hook Greg . I swear by it on a buzzbait

Topwater on G'ville right now too.
The bass may have seen the double buzz ..as a kayak they could get even with.
Good god that was probably a double digit lol
rig that kill switch so you can shorten it enough, so that when you stand it cuts the motor.
oh my lord... dang it was the cross over... i hate when i hook them left and go to swing to the right...
Now if u said best 5 it would of been different 😂
Should've used trailer hooks. Lol
You using a trailer hook?
How long was the first big one?
Just realized you fish with both left and right handed bait casters. Do you have a preference?
What trailer is that greg?
Hey maybe you can point me in the right direction.. I’m looking for a sit on top kayak that is over 12 ft long. My highest priority is paddling performance. Bonus is being able to stand. With my research I’ve narrowed it down to the crescent lite tackle 2 and the tarpon 120.. am I on the right track? Or is there another kayak that comes to mind?
I do the same thing with my motor
Why don’t you follow up the buzz with finesse or T-rig? Or do you plan to go back?
the reel looks great but doesn't sound great, you think you got a defective model and can trade it in?
Warning!!!!! When you have one buzz bait don't flip them in the boat...to easy to tweak the wire and she will never swim or make the same noise again.
Hi Greg
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍
I was wo dering why to use the electric motor on slow when you have pedals 🤔
Bet 1
Why bass angler don't use the net? If you lift the fish it can be broken the line or not?
2 Words Stinger Hook If You Are Using abuzzbait or spinnerbait In Open Water Put a Trailer Hook On 🐟👍
Stand up and let the magnet pull off the kill the motor?
NexGen inventory just sold out...
Kanemoto brother's said check is in the mail
The blow up was so damn big you forgot to hookset hard. Those bigguns have tough mouths. Super fun day with all that topwater
Reading the title I thought he flipped the boat... :/
