How good is the stereo and has it held up?
The sound quality is not as good as the original but so far screen works properly and same as it use to.

Hello there, the steering controls are in settings and you have to press for example volume up, then in steering wheel press volume up.

Did you need to cut and splice any wires? Cause usually that's what it takes. What was shown was basically plugnplay. Was it really that easy?
Yes sir, was plug and play no splicing of any wires and you've got biurlink to connect the screen to the car's original wires.
Will it display the view when you're backing / reverse?
Yes automatically as you put gear into reverse

Yes it will fit as long as the panels are same, you can check out online and see the shape which fits yours
Australia 2012 Cerato Hatchback doesn't have the hazard button mount
I had to get the mount as an extra it's also available online

Yes sir it does fit. Make sure the frame is same.

Yes it will work, just mind the AC controls which you order and you should be fine.

Do the phones work through thisn system?
Yes it does, connected via Bluetooth, calling and answering works, and there is also screen mirroring.
it seems you have suffered at first with the right vent and damaged with scratches the surface. i hope i will not have to do the same cause soon i will upgrade that console as well.

Aux yes but usb doesn't work anymore, however the screen comes with 2 USB cables
