Did you need to cut and splice any wires? Cause usually that's what it takes. What was shown was basically plugnplay. Was it really that easy?
Yes sir, was plug and play no splicing of any wires and you've got biurlink to connect the screen to the car's original wires.

It's made in China and android screen no specific make or model.
Is there a way to use THE FACTORY INSTALLED USB and AUX input ... also can you use the factory mic for the phone

Yes it does support the steering buttons
it seems you have suffered at first with the right vent and damaged with scratches the surface. i hope i will not have to do the same cause soon i will upgrade that console as well.

Yes automatically as you put gear into reverse
Do the original aux and usb inputs located near the 12v lighter still work?
Aux yes but usb doesn't work anymore, however the screen comes with 2 USB cables
