Ah Tim, I follow your bike channel but before I discovered that and the joy of biking I bought a 2022 Duster (Prestige no less) on the strength of your review and to date it has been a brilliant family car. Anyway, only reason I’m sharing my life story is I remember the thumbnail from previous gen Duster review ‘Do you need more?’ and that still sums it up perfectly. We’ve done 30,000 in ours, kicked the crap out of it on muddy tracks (even though it’s only front wheel drive 1.3 petrol) and it takes everything in its stride, mud, floods, kids, dogs and tip trips - exciting stuff? Not really but I can afford to have a Scrambler 900 because the duster is cheap to run and own and a tough little b***ard. Thanks again I might trade it in for this gen when the pcp ends in 2026! Great review as always, lots of laughs and thank god you don’t take any of the marketing hype too seriously.
Yay the jacket is back! There’s a car review in there somewhere too! (You’re spot on though - the Duster has pretty much everything you need, most of the rest is vanity and badge snobbery).
I agree mate. I've been a Renault driver all my life, went to the dealership to look at the new Captur and came away with the 140 hybrid Journey. I couldn't justify the extra 4k for the Captur with the same engine and same kit. Just waiting for a delivery date.
I've ordered one, hybrid, I understand what you mean, but its better for our situation. And still £5-6,000 cheaper than most comparable cars, except the MGs, which I hate. I like your review, its not trying to do a Skoda and go up market, it is what it is, a Dacia... Glad the little one is ok
Great review. Glad little Rodie is fine. Not going to ask where your Lara tattoo is. Big Dacia fan here. They’re making other manufacturers look massively out of touch with reality IMHO.
In the market for a new car, my 200.000 mileage VW Passat cc 170 is still going strong but the 4 seats just isn’t enough now. Keep looking at these Dacia Dusters, I’m also 6ft 3, 32 years old and have 2 kids and was worried about a small cabin space but after watching your review it has reassured me a little. Great review and fantastic video. Liked and subscribed 💪 going to watch your other reviews! Cheers buddy.
An update for the infotainment is on route, already deployed in Romania. The economy for the full hybrid is not great outside of town, only 0.5L/100Km, but it's good for the environment with 114g CO2/km (standard Euro 6e).
Picked mine up 2 days ago and the entertainment system has gone completely blank once (had to pull over and reset) and has failed to play iTunes audio 2 twice
Great practical review you just stoped short of saying that clip thing is a nonsense which it is, but otherwise seems ok for the money except I think I’d buy a 2nd hand XC40 instead 🤔
Creeking of the middle console is a problem only countries with steering wheel on the right side have. Rest of the world has creeking door handle instead. Cheers!
The hybrid price is getting closer to the price you pay from other more premium manufacturers because you can get some serious discounts on other cars. Whereas Dacia discount is tiny.
Go and look at 7 thing I hate about my new duster and see the electrical problem he's having best wait a while before parting with your money I'll stick with my dacia duster journey 1.3 tce.
Great value for money! So refreshing compared to other manufacturers who usually charge 40k+ for an equivalently sized car

Thanks for the kind comment - can’t believe I used the same thumbnail text twice, it wasn’t deliberate!
I will buy it on friday. This beauty is on the way to me🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great review as always! Dacia is a very good proposition even in the best of times, let alone during these times.

Speaking of vanity and badge snobbery, I just filmed a £260k Bentley SUV… video out in a few weeks 😂

Another Classic Rodie Review.....thanks, enjoyed your take on the DD....we need the Bigster ASAP....without the nobbish name

We hope the 3 year old is fine & even enjoyed the trip to the A&E and back (as they usually do a day or so later)

Yay. My favourite yotube car reveiewer again!
Why does no one give dimension of the boot - one shot min width / max width / max length - seats up / seats down - so easy ..
Sorry for disappointing you
@ can it be included in future reviews ?

wait for the BIGSTER if you want more space

Thanks tim. Hydrid seems to be a fair bit behind the petrol
in ireland we really get fleeced for tax looks like 35K euro, nuts!

What to choose between Dacia Duster and Renault Captur, same LPG engine for both
Sper că ai reușit să-i lipești capul la loc! Masina este destul de frumoasa si din punct de vedere utilitar.
Ah the bald man reviewer returns 😂 still laugthing of your bmw 1 series intro
Great practical review you just stoped short of saying that clip thing is a nonsense which it is, but otherwise seems ok for the money except I think I’d buy a 2nd hand XC40 instead 🤔
Good car for price, I drove one with hybrid drive. Feel like Toyota hybrid, but gearbox is quite.
Mișto videoclip. Mulțumesc!
I own the normal petrol MH version and I did not experience any infotainment issues.... Yet?
Glad all is well with the youngest Rodie 😀
I know you didn’t need the nav to get to ESH, as it’s just up the road from Mcdonalds 🍔
The problem with the infotainment sistem I have with my BMW X1 at list 2 times a month

Yup! There's not much margin in a Dacia I'd warrant...
"Sper că i-ai lipit capul înapoi bine"
Bravo!
Love these cars. Seems the screen thing is a problem
Hopefully it will get fixed with software updates 🤞
You didn't scratch it with your fingernail, but you left a white line from your fingernails that can be easily wiped off.
I would be concerned about the ncap 3 star safety rating
The car is perfectly safe and would protect you in an impact. It loses stars as it lacks traffic sign recognition and the like...
amazing car !!!!!!
Go and look at 7 thing I hate about my new duster and see the electrical problem he's having best wait a while before parting with your money I'll stick with my dacia duster journey 1.3 tce.
"Sper că i-ai lipit capul la loc" - what happened, some doll's head felt apart?
If €27,000 for the hybrid version is a bargain to you, then…
I think I said the hybrid definitely isn't a bargain!
The only Duster you want is the 1.5 dci. Thank me later!
Doesn't exist any more!
Christ you really criticised it
Not sure why it was criticised , for the price it’s not a bad car to be fair.
I just pointed out the bad points and good - I'm not going to say a car is perfect (apart from a Skoda Superb Estate)
Ahh you mean îmbrăcarea da caple plopijorski :) nice looking rugged car Tim, I bet Jeep styling department love it too #avenger ;)
I'm the type who can get a b8.5 audi rs4 or a w212r e63 amg for the price of that.
