Experienced player here. To all you newbies, some tips: 1. Map awareness. Your mini map is there for a reason. 2. Don't be afraid to take shots to get damage or kills. Your health bar acts as an extension of your armor. 3. Keep your tank & turret facing forwards as often as possible. 4. Even if your losing, don't stop fighting. You can still have a good individual game to maximize exp, silver, and moe progress 5. Prem rounds aren't auto pen rounds. Still aim for weakspots or at the least, the flattest part of the enemy tank that isn't the gun mantlet or track skirts. 6. Most frontal weak spots on enemy tanks are hatches above the turret and armor plates between the tracks. Best of luck
8. Just delete the game. None of this helps since you now have annoying so called “light tanks” with 1700 health with armor like a heavy tank. Which they aren’t even tanks they are infantry vehicles.
Another piece of equipment I've found super useful in heavy tanks like the 60tp, E100, Type 5 heavy etc. (tanks with very long reloads) is the enhanced loader, that allows you to swap non-clip ammo without reloading. This is especially useful when you run into lightly armored vehicles like the leopard 1 and all lights, then you can quickly swap to HE and smack him for 950hp and then swap back to AP or heat. Makes it really fun to slowly, long reloading heavies. As for generalized commanders skills for heavy tanks, my suggested list in the following order: 1. sixth sense 2. born leader 3. rapid reloading 4. snap shot 5. steady aim 6. Rapid aim or *situational awareness *depending on the view range of the heavy tank ex. chieftain mk6 or Super Conqueror or WZ-111 5a. extremely nice since you're on the frontline and makes you capable of spotting for yourself 7. Clutch breaking 8. Off-road driving 9. Supply conservation is nice cause it lessens the time of the consumable cooldown which is useful in heavy tanks as you can smacked alot by arty and tracked even more which makes your premium repair kits really valuable. BUT if you're a non premium player I'd suggest *general mechanic which increase the repair time of all your modules.
I'd be happy if heavies and mediums would stop sitting back with the destroyers. Get out front and create a buffer zone between your under-armoured support and spot for them. Stop drawing fire their way. They'll be more effective when they're not lying in ruin beside you.

think of it this way. i think damage reduction is a waste even on a3k health tank. running both (10% total) will technically give you 300hp extra (which might not even allow you to take an extra shot to die) way better off runnin other perks/equip
It doesn't work that way. What it does is takes damage away that has been received from each shot. Test it out, iv saved myself taking 300 hp from just 1 shot. The reason I even tried armour angling is cos people were making the same statements as you without testing it. I run a series of tests 10 games with 10 without added the skill armour angling ect and was very surprised by what I found. Great vid, useful for new players. It occurred to me that another vid that would be super useful might be “what role do I have in each tank class”. One of my biggest frustrations is seeing teammates wasting the effectiveness of their vehicles by using them to try and do things that another classes do better. We’ve all seen the heavy tank “TD gun line”, or the medium “yolo scout”. When you’re playing your super heavy your biggest threat is being flanked, so this vid reminded me that you rarely see teammates covering your flank or rear which is a shame because there’s a tank for that.
I did attempt a video at that but unfortunately It didn't really get much traction. It was a tank class guide but maybe Some people learnt a bit about it!
I really haven't played heavies much since 6.0. That oop where you needed to play them reminded me why. They are sort of lacking these days in general on most maps.
As I am primarily a medium player in this game, I often struggle with many of the slow superheavies because of how different of a playstyle it needs compared to that of most mediums and versatile heavies. This video has definitely helped me understand what equipment and consumables I will need for these kinds of tanks and I’m confident I won’t struggle as much when I play on the last 3 tanks in the maus tech tree line and maybe start getting into the Japanese heavies.
I don't think it is good idea to go japanese heavies. Type 5 is slow, big, his guns (both Guns) are not so good as it seems, their accuracy and aiming time is terrible and their armor is easilly penetratable with gold ammo. And in nowadays wot a lot of players are spammimg golds especially at tier X. In a nutshell Type 5 is usually free HP for enemies. I am telling this from my own experience, I have him. So I don't recommend it to you, if you are searching for good heavy tank, take a look in another tech tree line. This line has only meaning, if you want to grind all tanks in wot...
Hey Eclipse. Thanks for the video. Question. What is your take on using the Enhanced Target Info equipment on your tanks. I see you keep it most tanks. Is it really worth it? I take it off my heavy tanks sometimes and put other equipment on. Thoughts?
I definitely think it's possible to take off, but I find for the most part the ability to see behind bushes when opponents move behind them or behind cover makes it worth it since you don't see what part of them your gonna hit easily without it

Your going on about perks again. Can you read?. There have been no perks in this game since the update that ruined this game. SKILLS not perks. Will you ever get it right?.
Is the real aspect,, if your a slow heavy tank while your bottom tier while enemy spams gold ammo,,,, your screwed, there not much you can do , because 75% that most times especially in my experience that my entire team dies so quickly, then you left alone agaist top tiers tanks +2 matchmaking plus gold,, this is why medium tanks are better then the rest because at least it has speed and you get into the battle, and the idea is to do tons of damage before your team does,, otherwise you not getting much XP at all,, it's all about trying to get lots of damage before your team does or if the team dies quickly ,,, I always try to do damage before my team does because the game takes ages to grind,, also slow heavy tanks can easily win on its own , only if you are top tier against lower tier tanks,, especially if you using heat shells, sooo this gameplay is not impressive really if you a top tier tank using heat,,, try useing a tier 8 tank with thick armor while you bottom tier against tier 10 td and heavys,, with gold ammo then we talk
E100 is a super tiger yet it plays so bad it’s a laugh gets penned far too easy even by light tanks if this tank would have made it in ww2 outcome could have different
Do not play WOT! No matter how good you are , how much you grind , the game will always make you play with more advanced players , so you will pay more and play more , it’s same old joke of a game
Avoid World of Tanks, especially with these called "light tanks," which in reality are light infantry vehicles not TANKS. They make the game frustrating due to their 1700 HP for a supposed "light tank," literally you could get a perfect shot and the round will just bounce off the so called “light tank” like it was a heavy tank. Not only that but they are stupid fast, if you are using a heavy or medium tank and find your self surrounded by 2 or 3 so called “light tanks” it’s better just to delete the game or just throw the whole system away. Edit: why would you add infantry vehicles in a game called WORLD OF TANKS!?!?!?!?!?!? Just plain stupid.
Eclipse, to illustrate how angling works you might consider use armor calculator in live mode for your guide, like tanks.gg/tank/e-100/model?vm=live It shows well how “armor thickness” changes depending on angle of approach and explains why even a slight rotation makes a difference between penetration and bouncing. On this video it makes sense what are you talking about when the one kind of already knows what are you talking about. :) Thank you for your effort!

A year later and I'd suggest you stop playing heavie's, period.
Do not play WOT! No matter how good you are , how much you grind , the game will always make you play with more advanced players , so you will pay more and play more , it’s same old joke of a game
just stop playing heavies in general
