Players don't rush to the good positions because they've been so badly trolled by RNG in the previous 10 games they want to try and last more than 30 seconds on the battlefield
He cherry picks one game top tier OP armor with half the team support. Take position in a bottom tier alone while a Maushen is pushing the red line before any enemy is spotted.

@@guyknightley3499 WoT is +2 MM. Tier 7-8 can't pen T10 with gold. Also many will not shoot gold. I might shoot a few gold but you can't kill a full HP T10 in a tier 8 one on one. If you do link here your full HP T10 hunting in tier 7 or 8.

First step: grind Russian tank

I disagree, IMhO the key to success is: 1. Play every map from both ends six times. 2. Play every tank in your tier six times. 3. Accept RG-Jesus givith, and RN-WG taketh away. :)
In my sta 2 i basically play gold only(bout 20 rounds per game) and still manage to lose bcuz my team is pushing one flank and lose credits
First step: grind Russian tank
Second step: load gold
Third step: use premium consumable
before all of this the most important step is
"register an account in the asian server where everyone shoots gold at everyone, where tds are your scouts and heavy camp with scouts at the back of the server".
First mistake, rushing too fast to first location- all enemy will hit the first person that is visible very hard. Game over in 60 seconds.
Second mistake, too much poking. If you poke and get hit don't poke again! the enemy is still looking at your position,you will get hit again and again.
Third mistake, having a full HP bar and fighting an experienced player that is only 1 shot. If you can, use your health pool as a buffer, you can take 1 or 2 hits and then kill the enemy.
Fourth mistake, seeing an ally player commit and go in, while you hang back,if it's safe to do,follow your ally into combat, both of you can secure the kill. Don't just watch them die 1 by 1.
You can reach good position early, the rest usually depends on wether your team does the same or not...

Definitely, Live Oaks the South-East dip which is so important for map control
I'll ping it at the start, say I'm going there, ask for support and find myself arriving at the dip 30 seconds or more before anyone else. Proceeding to get yoloed by a chieftain and a batchat
I routinely find myself alone, in a position I should be in while the rest of my team lemming trains.

A while back I started playing a lot of TDs. This helped me realize that my positioning should not necessarily benefit me but rather give a disadvantage to the enemy. I should consider my teammates in my position, and since then, my recent win % is > 52%. That's pretty good for someone trying to climb out of the 42% pit small child me made.

A lot of TD drivers have their favorite place on a map but are not anywhere near where the actual fighting is. If most of your team has to die before the enemy gets to your great position then you need to move up.
Other side of that coin is heavy drivers rushing around corners and not baiting the enemy into the guns of the TDs that have moved to help.
@@joehonan1773 Yeah. The big thing I learned from playing TDs is that when I’m playing heavies and meds I should try to bait enemies into driving into the big guns. Sure, I may only have 2200dpm but that Borsig that is shooting at the tanks I baited has 3500 lol

I’ve started playing TD’s because I never really touched them before and let me tell you, playing TD’s just amplifies all of the dumb crap that your team does during the game
Heavies camping base, not baiting people into your line of fire, having absolutely zero awareness and pulling in front of your turretless tank so you can’t shoot.
I have 60% win rate overall, and playing TD’s without a turret is just so infuriating because you can’t carry games in most of them, you need your heavies and mediums to perform half decently otherwise you just get steamrolled. If you don’t play carry tanks these days you’re just asking to lose more games no matter how good you are as an individual
This is exactly me. I'm currently sitting at a 41.30% win ratio because younger me didn't know how to play. Now I'm struggling to get it back up, lol.
Knowing where to go, knowing when to push, knowing when to retreat, knowing when wait, knowing when to shoot, knowing which tank to shoot first, knowing how to move across the map to expose yourself the least, knowing weak spots . These are the basic things to getting better. The next step is being able to anticipate what the enemy will do, that is what make the best players.
I am a newbie player and I would say that first and most important I found is the "where to go" on the map will make or break that battle. For the rest, I guess that will take months or years depending if you can learn from better players.

Every second shot of damage that my T-10 receives leads to a dead driver, a damaged ammo rack or a direct blow up of the ammo rack. That's the default behaviour of a T-10. Yours is not showing this behaviour, so i guess it must have a serious malfunction. 🔧

Most of my dumb plays lately have been for a mission, trying to get a ramming kill in a heavy has resulted in a lot of blocking angles for team mates, not getting the kill, and dying to their support. Trying to learn all the maps and roles has resulted in a lot of bad deaths too, but hopefully learn and get better from those.
Maybe taht 777 II made it on purpose because WG doesnt reward sh!t for teamplay and he wanted to snack all the damage..
The T-10 might just be my favorite tank in the game. I was able to get 100% damage standing. It's just such a fun tank for me
I loved the IS-8, never really have given the T-10 a chance.

The funny thing is your advice can be used in the real world. Peoples bad situations that they are in more times than not, are from bad choices they have made.
Maybe but most of the time, these "bad choices" are a result of impulsivity or a miscalculation in risk taking which can stem from learned behavior or naturally ingrained in genetics.
Or outright inability to change oneself.
But you could say that in real life, some people just don't have a fair chance. They start out with a tier 1 tank in a tier 8 battle while some people have a obj. 257 from their birth so to speak.
That also explains minorities though, but we can’t say that out loud, so nothing will ever change for them because we can address the real problems. The Left really need to stop milking them just for their vote
@@nils7888 that's not an entirely invalid point, but it loses a great deal of its relevance when you realize your "real life" ranking isn't as important as your individual situation. (¿Almost?) Everyone can take steps to improve their life, relative to where they started, and one of the most destructive things is to concern yourself overmuch with how irrelevant randos are doing compared to you.

I would really love to see more of these types of videos showing your comments of the situation of many tanks in a battle.
Honestly, I'd like to think I've improved at this game significantly, I took a whole year hiatus cause i was so trash and was frustrated spinning my wheels, never getting any better. Since I picked it back up, my total average win rate still hasn't improved much overall, but it has over the last 6 months or so. I can definitely say I have improved for sure rather than just luck or carries by my team, because my average damage, and average xp earned have been on a constant uphill. It was all from watching your videos, your livestreams, and picking up your tips and tricks.
Reloading your auto loader after firing one shot
Shouldn't you still reload if you are in a safe scenario when you have time to? I've only played the Emil's, so only having 3 shells may have warped my viewpoint.
@@dewydewback1376 yes. Depending on the gun, more shells in clip = more DPM. So if you won't need ur gun for long enough u should reload to get that dmge up.
@@dewydewback1376 The emil line has pretty solid dpm so if you don't expect an opportunity for 20s just hit that reload. Most tanks however take 35s for a 4 shot clip, so if after 25s you get a 5s window you could have fired 2-3 shells that you couldn't if you reloaded early.
It's mostly french t9/10 lt's and the t8+ french meds/heavies that have a big problem with the "not being able to shoot" problem.

5:10 Here is a heavy tank driver, who's thankful, that WG changed the HE mechanics in his favour. It increased the viability of his heavily armored tank and led to him having a chance in this encounter. x)
I agree with that, but I also think that Wargaming released those changes to make people shoot more gold, not to please heavy tank players. Before that free to play players had a cheap alternative to do some damage to tanks they couldn't penetrate, now they have no choice and need to spend a lot of credits by shooting gold :(

@@PavltheRobot "a cheap alternative" ?? If I shoot HE on a tank I can't penetrate with standard ammunition, I would loose more credits because, let's say I would do 390 with premium(4000) and 75-150 with HE(1000). I would spend more credits to do less damage...
@@benjamin8348 No, not really. In this case while shooting gold it would give you 97,5 damage per 1000 credits. So it wasn't that far from HE. And HE also was doing critical damage more often than it does now.
Also if you miss or don't pen with gold you lose a huge amount of money, that's the most important thing. With HE it was cheaper to miss shots and you didn't care whether you penetrate or not

I don't have the memory for all the armor and gun details but I can work on situational awareness. I tend to run into traps way too often. Usually in frustration that my team isn't doing anything so I tried to get it kick started. Usually with my life.

The 777 II was trying to get damage in before the feeding frenzy left him with nothing. Each of the 15 members of your team has a different objective in mind based on where they are with missions, campaigns and grinding. He wasn't working towards your goal, but he was progressing towards his, which sums up the game precisely. We're all supposed to cooperate and do our own thing at the same time.
It happens a lot when the player is marking his gun. I do it too.
This is a very precise description why WoT sucks.
It suggests that is might be a team game but in reality nobody cares about his teammates and only cares about his own stats.
Why should i help my team in the tortoise when i am so slow that i get maybe 4 shots out before the game ends if im helping my team?
If i dont help them and my team loses i will deal about 3000 damage more and receive more experience than when my team wins.
This might be easily solved by giving a flat bonus for everyone in the winning team like about 200xp and 50k credits for tier 9 or 10.
Then its not about being the best in the team, but about leading your team to victory.

To be precise WoT is game that actively encourages you to not play for your team cause your reward will be higher when your whole team is trash and you steal kills.

I stopped using gold ammo and consumables and it actually made my credit increase a lot. It also made my games faster and shorter. Not a bad thing
Always Carry small amount of gold ammo. But watch out with food and large repairs kits
I have tried or seen these things tried on several maps. But when both teams want the same spot on the map, your team can end up loosing several tanks very early. How do you deal with things like that?
I have watched a lot of youre videos and one of the main reasons, you do well (apart from being a good player)
You - get in a lot of games with other good players or team mates who move, work with you and want to play the game.
Me - 4/5 games in a row where I did 2k plus damage and killed at least 2 tanks and lost because players sat and camped, and would not work with me or anyone else, and don't want to play the game.
You have an absolutely great overview of the Battle
The advice about taking game winning positions at the start of the game applies to more than WoT. People in all sorts of games are too passive.
Very apparent in breakthrough on battle field for both attacking and defending, whoever has more attacking players usually wins. I totally agree, Just an example,
I can confirm that bad players (I was a complete noob, now I'm 48% win rate, I know not the best), that we make all of these mistakes all the time. The thing that hinders them from getting better, is that they blame their team or the pay to win enemies for their own mistakes, so they never learn.
I used to be 47.8% at 5k games, then I made an effort to improve. I downloaded an app to see my progress, and for a time I actually had most my sessions be 57%+ winrate. It's incredibly how much you improve if you start to play to improve. I even got expertise with playing lights, and got some 3 moe tanks. And then wheeled came out so I lost a lot of interest in the game. I was trying to 3 mark a sp1c, but it relies on bushcamping and those darn gocarts just go straight for the bush and then destroy you with their he dpm :(
So with my most enjoyed/competitive tank kind ruined I semi abandoned the game.
@@Olav_Hansen A moment of silence for the MAJORITY of high tier light tank (real tanks with tracks) drivers. It's crazy how little a high tier tracked light tank can do against those go kart demons. And, as you said, wheelies completely destroyed the passive scouting, since even if you reach the contested bush first by some miracle (or even less aggressive bushes), they can drive straight towards you, get you spotted, send a 500 dmg HE gift and let you die a horrible death since you were stationary until a moment ago. There's no such thing as passive spotting against an EBR. I even dropped my AMX 13 105 (1k games, 58% winrate) as it was simply too frustrating to battle against EBRs every freaking game. Like I aim for 3 seconds to hit a wheel while the EBR is doing a 180 turn and autoaims me for 500 dmg from 300m away, cool how that works. If you wanna get into the joy of playing light tanks again, I'd recommend going for low tier games (7 and below, to reduce the chances of going against an EBR). There are some "hidden gems" out there. I'm currently having a lot of fun with T71 DA and AMX 12t. Good luck on the battlefield!
@@thunder7135 I was going for 3 moe in the spotpotatoe (sp1c) when wheelies were introduced. I was at about 93%, but those wheelies immediately made it impossible to maintain. At this point most ebr players are at higher tiers so it is safe again, but since I am not as fanatical at the game anymore I will probably never get that third mark because of ebrs.

MISTAKES BAD PLAYERS MAKE IN WORLD OF TANKS: LISTENING TO YOU
In my 9 year experience, the biggest mistake bad players make is not knowing how maps are played, they play the same maps 99999 times yet they never learn what flank is the one that matters most. Maps usually consist of three flanks, the important one that if you win you’ll have most of the map control, the one that you just needed defenses with like 3 tanks, and the one you should always avoid until the end when you need to use it as an option to flank.
I really hope a lot of bad players see this comment and take it in to consideration.
And remember.. LIVE! The biggest help you can give to good players is survive, give time to good players to carry you.
So fkin true, especially this: "LIVE! [...] give time to good players to carry you". Hundreds of otherwise easy games were lost simply because the team collapsed way too fast in the first 2 minutes. Hard to carry when the score is 1-7 with all flanks lost in the first minutes of a battle. Like, you don't even have enough time and/or DPM to capitalize on your teammate's deaths lol. You need the time to break through a flank and start carrying from there.
I stopped going into that dip after the 5th time in a row i died there with practically 0 dmg because noone followed me there
If uncontested it's a brilliant LT spot.
That's why you look to see whether or not you have backup BEFORE you commit to those positions. Don't just zerg in and expect everything to be hunky dory, especially with spots like that. Their might be that rare occasion when your the only one in the dip, the enemy team realises this, but shit their pants for no apparent reason, and you just farm away.
I always go onto the buildings directly at the pit, you are difficult to dig out, you can shoot the crossing dudes and you can proxyspot in the dip for arty, while beeing relatively save. You can wasily push into the dip if you want aswell from there, but it isnt that hard of a commitment than to instantly push inside!

@@Gaphalor Good idea. You can also retreat from this position if need be, whereas you couldn’t otherwise get if you committed to the trench.
Winning in WoT requires three things.
1. Knowing what your tank can do.
2. Knowing what the enemy tanks can do.
3. Knowing the map.
To point three. If you know how to take valuable terrain early you will help your team win.
last time I went into that ditch, 5 enemy tanks rushed there completely bkind, including an obj 279e and a chieftain

That advice with taking the aggressive positions at the start of the battle is my problem. I think I'm too passive. My other problem though is that i only know the good position to take on certain maps.
Clawed my way to 800 WN8 and 47.86% win rate...can be frustrating because I don't take premium ammo. Trial and error over 6000 games. So far I'm loving the quick intraclip autoloaders like the Skoda T25 and the T69 :)

Any time I rush the dip like QB did, no one follows me and I get absolutely creamed. Isn't it wrong to make aggressive plays if no one is going to follow?
Obviously. Learn to read the map.
well, you saw what happened to Leo and Pantera, right? You should only commit to the ditch when you are SURE that at least 3 other tanks will follow. 4 is a decent number, 'cause there's always gonna be at least 2 enemies committing to that position too. Also, if the enemy team have autoloader mediums, I never commit to such positions early on. It's just asking to get killed in under 5 seconds.
The main keys to success and maybe not in this order:
Knowing the map, knowing your own capabilities and weakness, knowing the enemy capabilities and weakness, and knowing the enemies thinking.
It is not only about recognizing the tank, but also how upgraded it is or how damaged.
Knowing your enemy's thoughts can never be mastered 100%, but there will be some indicators.
Very few people master it all, and out of those who does, not all of them are good at aiming or steering, which is amongst the secondary keys to winning.
Oh I forgot about being able to fight as a team. All the same knowledge about your allies and the ability to communicate with them in some positive way.
Saying stuff like "AMX u noob", does not help you or your team, it actually helps the enemy team.

Love the game…. Good advice…. if people would just ask themselves every time, “Why did I die?” And “how can I prevent that from happening next time” they would see a steady improvement in their play…
I can assure you, after accruing many thousands of hours. That nothing, and I mean nothing, can save you from artillery or stupidity.
Asking yourself these questions is useless when you can't knoe the answer and when the answer changes on a game to game basis.
Please make a video about the quick dead's that happens by low tier tanks in high tier games. Could it be a way to get on to a better matchmaking?

A lot of times its just other people on my team being toxic to one another that discourages people and makes them play worse. I had a round where I was playing in a bt7, spotting the enemy team, doing my job and some t48 on my team reported me because he died, and was being toxic, and it made me play worse for a few Runde thinking about it:

That’s true, however it’s important to remember that to preform well you still need some skill; although gold helps a lot, it doesn’t fix bad plays.

False. Noobs shoot prammo at me all the time but I understand how to counter gold rounds through tactics in game and then these bot players cry when their gold rounds can’t penetrate me but I’m wrecking them with standard ammo 😂😂😂

Most of the problems are not those 49% players that are at least trying but rather the huge swarms of obviously botted 42-45% accounts clogging up the teams especially on the weekends and events.
Being rational (and mostly correct) won't get you very far here. :)

Basic mistakes I did a lot:
1. Play with 75% crews, stock gun, stock engine, etc
2. Lose DPM by aiming all shots
3. Don't p_ay OP tier 8-10
4. Don't buy food, directives, bond rammer
5. Don't dial 22
6. Don't switch game after 30+ fully aimed shots missed on static target with 0.3 dispersion in a single game
Aiming shots is not a mistake, being in bad positions to get shots off on the enemies is the real dpm killer. Also idk how playing stock is a “mistake.”

Good video! I'm really not a good player, as I've got only one hand and no headset for communication. But I do at least understand good team tactic at a descent level.
I call this B.S!. Reason a lot of Players can't reach their Goals is....Players have gotten selfish in their playing. Refusal to support their teammates. So not to get a scratch on their own Tank. The Game were once a (TEAM) Game. That no longer applies.

I think the biggest mistake is calling T-10/IS-8 a heavy tank. Gun rammer, turbo and optics. If You get mm with tier 7 tanks, You simply get good early game position and You won already. In my opinion this is one of the best tier 9 tanks in it's tier. You have quite big dps, so You can trade with most of the tanks. You have great mobility, so most of mediums cant run away from You easly. You have decent armour, so You can still survive a lot of shots. Aiming time is bad, but in hull down position Your turret armour gives You time to aim. You also have good AP penetrationa nd awesome HEAT penetration, so even facing tier 10's You can do a lot of dmg and yet dont have to use premium content to afford it. It's like Obj. 430 on steroids

They seriously don’t play like this. They don’t play aggressive this way, it’s all about camping, there’s times where you have to wait 5 minutes or more and no shots are fired… because everyone is hiding behind a bush and a dwelling/rock. And they don’t really respond with the Help and comms

basically the team that loses the first tank usually loses as the game starts to maker the team armor weaker and the other team armor stronger, and the camo fails to revel the opposing teams position. basically the game wants to finish quickly to start a new game. yeah it's BS.

That first position you took is the first position I take when I’m in a fast and hard hitting tank, but none of my team are in there with me and there’s just one other guy behind me supporting me, while the rest are on the tracks getting farmed by the enemy TDs
