Also I'd actually recommend Dragster in the back for next time over the front! The drop gives ejector air all the way down the drop into the pullout! and great review Mang!

They only load a few rows at a time because empty trains actually require more speed to clear the tower than fully loaded trains! During testing, the launch is adjusted automatically by the computer to accelerate trains to a higher speed so they do not rollback. Empty trains do not carry as much momentum up the tower and loose speed faster.
Once the ride opens, it begins the process of "Speed Reduction" where the crew will gradually load more and more riders so that the computer gradually launches each train slower and slower until it is slow enough to launch a fully loaded train. If the crew to were to fully load a train without doing speed reduction, trains would flyyyy over the tower until the computer adjusts the launch speed and Cedar Point doesn't want that.

Haha I rode this with you. Me and my cousin were in the row behind you... it was a great ride!

The mist is from the water that is sprayed (between cycles) on the track that the launch car rides on.

This is my home park, I mean you can see this thing from anywhere! The noise that you can hear from that remarkable Intamin launch on the main midway is awesome! Great Video By The Way!

As a CP homer hearing someone describe TTD as "not very intense" is kind of bewildering. Xcelerator is certainly being hyped around here.

I worked in a UK supermarket which sold more expensive products under the "Taste The Difference" banner. They were usually abbreviated to TTD. So now when I see Dragster called TTD I immediately call it Taste The Difference.
And you will during bug season in the front row!

Gosh you said "I need to get front row" way to many times throughout this video. I mean I can understand why you keep mentioning front row because it does make the ride SO much better. The intensity is way more high in the front row. I have gotten to ride this ride more than 30 times and would say this is the most intense coaster in the park. I could understand the complaints about the lockers, but they are by the entrance so you could quickly put your stuff away and entrance the line. I also feel like if there were shade on top of the bleachers, then it would ruin the look of them. That's just my opinion. Anyways, it was an ok review and I know you will like it more if you got that front row ride. Trust me, it's super good.

I love TTD. It is incredible. But I do have it ranked quite a bit lower than a lot of people like. I did a ranking of CP coasters a couple months back. I do genuinely view it as a top notch ride though.

This is definitely a ride for the most experienced. The anxiety of waiting for that green light is wild

I just rode this for the first time on Sunday and got 3 rides, rows 2, 3, and 4. I live 15 minutes from Knott's so I wholeheartedly agree with the opinions expressed in this video. Yes very intense, yes super cool that it's a strata and goes 120mph, but it's just missing that crazy psycho zero to fast in a fraction of a second launch that Xcelerator provides. Drew, you're totally right, Xcelerator has ruined us for launches (until Maxx Force maybe?). Every single launch on Xcelerator I feel my back pop. This didn't happen at all on TTD, and I never really felt that I was being forcefully launched. Super great ride, LOVE the 2 second epic view from 420 feet up, but it just goes right back down and that's it. At least Xcelerator has SOME kind of element to finish off the ride (which is highly underrated, I love soaring around that overbanked sweep after the drop, it's really fun). For now I place TTD at #7, and Xcelerator at my #5 favorite coasters. Great review Drew, thanks for the awesome vlogs, keep it up bro!

I have TTD as my # 3 in the park, and # 9 overall. I got plenty of rides on it last year, including 2 front row rides. My first ride was in the front, and I thought I might have a new overall # 1 after that ride. The launch isn't as powerful as Xcel, but I actually liked the longer launch better. Around 4 seconds seems to be the sweet spot for me with launches. Plus, 120 mph is far more exhilarating to me than 82 or 78.

The same “mist” thing happened to me on Kingda Ka!! 🤔

  • @jonathanbond2560

And no matter what we still ended up waiting like 2 hours to get on the ride quickly😂. In the end though, I must say it was worth it and a good way to end our trip as well.

I, too, was only able to get one ride on TTD when I visited this May, but I got off of it feeling unsure whether I preferred it or Xcelerator. If we’re just talking launches and nothing else, I slightly prefer the jolting quickness of Xcelerator’s launch, even though Dragster brings you to such a tremendous top speed. I was surprised that I got stronger floater over Dragster’s top hat. All in all, I’m not sure; I feel like I need to ride Xcel again to decide on a definitive favorite. 🤔
As far as its standing in the park, I rank TTD fourth, after SV, Mav, and Raptor. But of course, this is CP, which has a TON of top-tier coasters, so this is no slight to Dragster; I just love those three more.

Believe or not I found the original super man the escape to be more powerful at first. Super mans launch felt like it went on forever and kept going which made it very terrifying as a kid. Dragster happens so fast you don’t have time to process it.

@0:36 "Baby cousin to Dragster"? Nah.....on the contrary, Top Thrill Dragster is the *YOUNGER, BIG baby cousin* to Xcelerator, which came FIRST!
