As others have already mentioned, this is the most detailed video on the 2024 ZX6R bar none. We just picked up this bike up last week, we ended up getting the pearl white with solver, it was not our first choice, but they only had two left and they were $2k off and the sale was going to end before their next shipment. Decided to do three mods right off the bat. Tail tidy($40 Amazon) SC exhaust into the resonator, it's loud but not stupidly loud, it really doesn't need anymore than that. Also replaced the servo with a servo buddy. Removed the clear windscreen with a smoked one. Overall a fantastic addition to our collection.
Giving a like, comment and subscribing because the ZX6R has been my favorite bike since 2004. Then when they updated the exhaust to be under the seat the next year I was slightly disappointed. Something about the pipe on the right just pleases my eyes. Alright, gonna watch it now. Thanks for the video!
Well done bro. ❤from Australia. We have only just started getting them in store and not all dealers have (I purchased 40th Anniversary so maybe that's why hard to get?)

It just depends if that stuff is important to you or not. If you like rider aids and the color red, then that's the best bike for you. I got used to riding liter bikes 15 years ago, I'm almost 33 years old, and there was no abs, power modes, traction control, quick shifter, nothing. And you were forced to learn how to become a very good rider, or you died. It was 180hp, unforgiving, brutal, and raw, and those bikes made greats riders out of people. Well considering I look at the panigale v2's online every other day and debate getting one, that's tough. There is zero question that the zx6r is the more reliable bike, less maintenance, more aftermarket parts, just a more user friendly bike all around. But the panigale is going to be more powerful, the vtwin sound is totally different, and you will catch a lot more eyes with that Ducati. My heart tells me "get a Ducati!" Hi, i do have a question, as per Your experience do you recommending this bike for the beginners, I'm in my 40's so i am careful, but still i am still afraid, and want to check with You?
Hey, I just found your channel. I appreciate the energy and detail. I rode KX125 growing up. Never got a straight bite. Because I knew I would kill myself now that i'm forty I feel like it's Time. Just got rid of my twenty nineteen z 06 and i'm ready for something much cheaper and Just as fast. I was looking for my 1st street bike to be the street triple or the Duke new 790. Or MT09SP or this I'm leaning towards this. Anyway, keep up the great videos. Hey look forward to them thanks.
The naked style bikes are nice because you sit more upright, but this zx6r is actually fairly comfortable for what it is. I just like the supersport position when it comes to the twisties and turns. I just feel more in control of the bike. But there's a million bikes out there and they are all fun in there own way. Let me know what you decide to get! Thanks for the comment 👍
@@lovelivegofast I rode one yesterday back to back with the new cbr600rr. I loved the zx6r more! The engine is incredible and has such a good low and mid range for a 600. Going to put a deposit on one soon.
I appreciate the detailed information from an experienced owner. I would have liked it more without any music. I'd rather take in what you are saying easier (without having to tune out music and lyrics). Good coverage though :-)...
Hey brother, great video. I have a few questions and hope you can help me. Does the motorcycle have the following things: Wheelie control? Launch control? Cruise control? Heated grips? Tire pressure control? Adjustable footrests?
I would like to purchase a suzuki gsxr1000r, but I also really like the Kawasaki zx6r for more practical reasons. I've watched many videos on both bikes and can not decide. I understand this is not an apple's to apple's comparison between the two but if I can only buy/have one which one would you recommend. Please advise I appreciate any feedback!
Yes. I previously owned a 2009 yamaha r6. I had it for about 3 or 4 years, then got married, had kids, and then sold it. I had a lot of good/fun rides on it, it was also a very exciting bike to ride. I've been considering the 1000cc to try something different. We all have different opinions as people, but it seems that there are some who I've heard say "liter bikes are not practical for street use and honestly almost unridable", not to mention I live in California. I can't speak to that because I've never road one. I watched videos on your channel, and you have had both. Which one is your favorite? and which one would you recommend? Thank you for your time and any feedback it's greatly appreciated!
@israellarranaga8392 the liter bikes aren't practical, but it's something everyone should experience. Just raw brutal power and the most speed you've ever felt. Get the liter bike next, I'd go for the zx10r over the Gixxer though
@@lovelivegofast you bet. I bought a ZX10R KRT edition a few days ago. I had a Hayabusa…but that bike was just too heavy for my taste. Kawasaki has done a good job with these bikes, listening to some of your content confirms that too.
@@lovelivegofast cool, I really like the z900rs cafe, I like the retro look, they haven’t change much so maybe get a used one! Right now I have an sv650, I love it!!
You're exactly right. The SV's are great bikes, nice torque and I love the sound of a v twin. If you got a sv650 you'd be fine with a zx6r. About the same power until you wind it up in the high rpm's
I don’t know if I missed it in the video but I’m 6’2 240lbs and I feel the clip ons are just a tad too low. Are they risible without installing new ones?
I bought this bike in January, i got nothing bad to say about it. It's so fucking good. I have an Ixil exhaust, but is way too loud and steals a bit from that smooth 4 cylinder. I ordered an SC Project SC1-R to tone it down a bit and make it sound smooth again like it should. Other than that, best bike! So happy with it. In Europe we have a grey/black color scheme that in my option is the best scheme, even tho I love the white one
Do you think I could start on one of these bikes? I’ve never been on a road bike before but I did grow up on 2 stroke dirt bikes, I know it’s completely different and not even remotely close power wise😂 But I feel like I at least would go in having respect for the machine and decent throttle control lol. Nonetheless great video man! That’s my dream bike right there🔥
It's closer than you think, and this 2024 is just so smooth, refined, and predictable. If you've ridden dirt bikes before you're totally fine to start on one of these. Throw it in "rain mode if you want a little less power and tamer throttle response. It will treat you well. Thanks man!
Thinking I'll definitely be buying one this year. Just not sure if I should trade in my 2023 Z900 for it. Probably wont though, since I i know I'll miss it too much 😅
You'd miss the torque but you'd like the looks of this and the attention that this one gets more lol and the zx6r does handle better if you like the twisties and getting down in the corners
You'll be fine, if you just have the muffler off you could pry ride indefinitely like that. If u have the expansion chamber off as well I wouldn't plan to do that forever, but you should be totally fine for two weeks regardless of your setup 👍
If you're past the break-in period it should be fine, but if your bike only has a few miles on it, I would be hesitant doing anything too crazy with the exhaust or a tune before that 600 mile mark
Difficult to say. I tried them back to back, and they feel different but are both really good. I prefer the ZX6R I think, but you can't really go wrong.
I tried them back to back and preferred the zx6r. It revved out cleaner, didn't have loads of heat through the seat like the Honda and felt more fun to ride for me.
Thanks for the review! I always wonder why most riders spend useless money tossing a perfectly good exhaust specifically designed for the bike. Most will never realize more than about 20-30 max of the bikes potential while lacking basic riding and survival skills such as proper braking technique and counter steering. any gains are gotten at the upper rpm ranges anyway and not practical.
The quick Reference guide says that it should be enough if you close the throttle grip completely. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll give it a shot soon. Page57 🏋🏼
Easy just know the zx6 has ruled 600 class since 1985. Best 600 every year since it was introduced. Kawasaki rules period end of story. Owned 4 600s since original 95 ninja 600 and have ridden all major 600s onlyy.owned kawi as they are hands down best overall spirt bike since 85
and remember, you re pulling it at 50 miles per hour in 6th gear, the one with less torque of them all, and you still feel the pulli would imagine triple the pulling force from 3rd gear at the speed, soo yes i would say this bike is way better than before for street and for experienced riders for the track, cuz all these changes made thsi bike lose 20-30 mph of top speed, you can have them back by changing some things plus a sproked change but would ppl really sacrifice the torque wich you will use all the time, for 20 plus miles on the highway ? i mean i dont think its worth it but thats just me, i think this year 636 is the best yet in terms of "fun" riding
Ok, lets be real... Outside literal track racers nobody has ever said "I need more outta a 600 Ninja!" The only time I think that is when I'm 2 up. When u have a whole extra person on the back you do need the extra torque. A 600 feels like a slug with 500 lbs on it. I'm 220 lbs solo. Hello Harley! Hello Liter class crotch rockets!! Yea! They will do it! Thing is, if you just wanna ride by yourself nothing beets a 600! 1000s are terrifying!! 400s don't got it. You wanna haul mamma around to different bike weeks get a Harley. You wanna shred a track get a liter bike. You wanna have as much fun as u can legally by yourself get a Jap 600. Doesn't really matter which one. An amateur rider will likely never get close to what it can do. Somebody tell me I'm wrong. Please.

Thanks man! If you delete the resonator box with a slip-on you'll shave off 15-20lbs, depending what exhaust you throw on
Holy shi*T! I didnt know Tony Hinchcliffe did motorcycle reviews!!! Dope.
Getting mine in a few weeks. I cant wait and nice review👌🏻
Thanks man! Your gonna have a ton of fun 👍
Me too just put the deposit down 4 hours ago
Hi, i do have a question, as per Your experience do you recommending this bike for the beginners, I'm in my 40's so i am careful, but still i am still afraid, and want to check with You?
If you respect the power and speed that this machine has, you'll be ok starting on this 👍
@ thank you so much . 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hey brother can you please tell me where you bought that jacket ???
I got it on Amazon, here's the link - amzn.to/48D3Wyx
@lovelivegofast bro you are the man, i appreciate it sir 🙏 🙌
Dont know what youre smoking, the 40th anniversary edition is beautiful to me
Btw, youre really selling me on this bike, great video ❤
Thanks! You won't regret getting one 👍
@@lovelivegofast I rode one yesterday back to back with the new cbr600rr. I loved the zx6r more! The engine is incredible and has such a good low and mid range for a 600. Going to put a deposit on one soon.
Awesome!
I appreciate the detailed information from an experienced owner.
I would have liked it more without any music.
I'd rather take in what you are saying easier (without having to tune out music and lyrics).
Good coverage though :-)...
I have a cfmoto 450ss. When it come to the screen, cfmoto got them beat. Everything is done with the thumb and 4 buttons.
Hey brother, great video. I have a few questions and hope you can help me. Does the motorcycle have the following things:
Wheelie control?
Launch control?
Cruise control?
Heated grips?
Tire pressure control?
Adjustable footrests?
No on everything sir
@@lovelivegofast dmnnn that's a pity. Do you think you need these things or are they unnecessary and just nice to have?
I wouldn't use any of those even if it had them. Everybody is different though
@@lovelivegofast Appreciate ur help big bro🙌
Does it come with A Steering Damper?
It does not
Enjoyed your review. Will buy one for myself 😉
Thank you 🤝
Awesome, thanks man! 👍
Have you owned any bikes before?
Ok GIVE ME A NINJA NOW!!! 🤩
I might’ve missed it but I was wondering how you got your TFT display to be black and not white? Thanks in advance!
I can check again but I think you push both buttons on it
Really love your content man
Thanks man!
@@lovelivegofast you bet. I bought a ZX10R KRT edition a few days ago. I had a Hayabusa…but that bike was just too heavy for my taste. Kawasaki has done a good job with these bikes, listening to some of your content confirms that too.
What an incredible motorcycle, too much power for me, I’ll stay with my ninja 400, I like to keep myself out of jail 😂
Oh you will end up with one, just you wait
@@lovelivegofast z900 is a naked super sport that’s comfortable, with 125 horsepower, zx6r is too aggressive for long ride for me!!
I almost got the z900 because I used to have a z1000. I love the naked style with more upright ergonomics. Somehow I ended up with the zx6r though lol
About the same power until you wind it up in the high rpm's
put 550 miles on mine in the past 4 days and you just showed me a bunch of stuff I didn't know. Including blue tooth
And I love my red wheels!!
Awesome man! Haha the more I see the white ones the less I mind the red
How much was the total cost out the door with all the fees and warranty? Trying to get a general estimate
$12,000 on my non-abs with no extended warranty
I don’t know if I missed it in the video but I’m 6’2 240lbs and I feel the clip ons are just a tad too low. Are they risible without installing new ones?
Nope unfortunately, they are where they are
Why in the world would you ever disable qs god I wish I had that in my bike
Hey Michel , TH-cam video seo can take your youtube channel to the next level.
I like next levels 😎
I bought this bike in January, i got nothing bad to say about it. It's so fucking good. I have an Ixil exhaust, but is way too loud and steals a bit from that smooth 4 cylinder. I ordered an SC Project SC1-R to tone it down a bit and make it sound smooth again like it should. Other than that, best bike! So happy with it. In Europe we have a grey/black color scheme that in my option is the best scheme, even tho I love the white one
that was an amazing video!
Thanks man!
Thanks man!
@@lovelivegofast Hell yeah bro I appreciate it!
I loved my 2020 Z900..but, I sold it to get the anniversary zx6r
My goodness, that matte black on gloss black 💦
My thoughts exactly
Can you just ride without the stock exhaust?
Yeah u could
How long can I do that for? I order an exhaust going to take like 2weeks to come in
You'll be fine, if you just have the muffler off you could pry ride indefinitely like that. If u have the expansion chamber off as well I wouldn't plan to do that forever, but you should be totally fine for two weeks regardless of your setup 👍
Do you recommend drilling out the YOU KNOW WHAT 🐱and riding it around like that ? Also thanks for your feedback it’s helping me lots
If you're past the break-in period it should be fine, but if your bike only has a few miles on it, I would be hesitant doing anything too crazy with the exhaust or a tune before that 600 mile mark
the 40th anniversary would have looked nice if all of the green was swapped for a white/blue like the rest of the bike
Is the ZX6R better than the 2024 CBR600?
Difficult to say. I tried them back to back, and they feel different but are both really good. I prefer the ZX6R I think, but you can't really go wrong.
I tried them back to back and preferred the zx6r. It revved out cleaner, didn't have loads of heat through the seat like the Honda and felt more fun to ride for me.
I so want this bike 😊
Thanks for the review! I always wonder why most riders spend useless money tossing a perfectly good exhaust specifically designed for the bike. Most will never realize more than about 20-30 max of the bikes potential while lacking basic riding and survival skills such as proper braking technique and counter steering. any gains are gotten at the upper rpm ranges anyway and not practical.
6r or r6 ?
Zx6 is far better overall
Getting mine as soon as it ships. Hopefully 2 weeks. Wife is selling her ninja 400 and taking my r7.
This will be a nice switch from the r7. Probably feel like a missile lol
A real shame that it still doesn’t have the auto rev match on downshift
Bro you dont need to go to N for QS on/off. Clutch works too
Well then the kawi rep told me wrong! I'ma try it on my way home tonight
Yeah wow, that 100% works... Well, shoot. Thanks for letting me know man lol
@@lovelivegofast 🥳👍
The quick Reference guide says that it should be enough if you close the throttle grip completely. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll give it a shot soon.
Page57 🏋🏼
You’ve sold me
thats a cool looking bike, bit ducati panigale vibes tbh
Did u not downshift then
Expin how to quick shift.
Easy just know the zx6 has ruled 600 class since 1985. Best 600 every year since it was introduced. Kawasaki rules period end of story. Owned 4 600s since original 95 ninja 600 and have ridden all major 600s onlyy.owned kawi as they are hands down best overall spirt bike since 85
You sound like 24:06
Average ram ranch enjoyer
Excellent 👍
top rpm horsepower gains are like 30hp
Yes, top rpm where it did die out. But not 30 peak hp gains
Thanks👍🏻
Yes sir
and remember, you re pulling it at 50 miles per hour in 6th gear, the one with less torque of them all, and you still feel the pulli would imagine triple the pulling force from 3rd gear at the speed, soo yes i would say this bike is way better than before for street and for experienced riders for the track, cuz all these changes made thsi bike lose 20-30 mph of top speed, you can have them back by changing some things plus a sproked change but would ppl really sacrifice the torque wich you will use all the time, for 20 plus miles on the highway ? i mean i dont think its worth it but thats just me, i think this year 636 is the best yet in terms of "fun" riding
Yeah I would agree man, very practical changes 👍
Please.
I’m gonna start with this bike as a first time rider
It will have you smiling ear to ear 👍
@@lovelivegofast I’ve been practicing with 2000 zx6r that my homie has but I’m now wanting the 2024 one, I test rode his new 2024 zx6r since he sold the other one, and instantly liked it and it’s lighter 😂
Did you get it yet? I am thinking of buying it in 6 months, since in Europe you must be 24 to ride powerful bikes. And it would be a first bike as well
