This is exactly how my momma would do my hair everyday for school! Put that pink lotion on, put on some grease and then put my hair in plaits with some little bows!!
I absolutely love hair grease. My hair looks and feels healthier when I use it. When I don't, it's dry and brittle. I listened to a few videos that said don't use it & then I had to realize, I have to do what works for my hair, not someone else's, and now, my hair is moist, healthy and growing. I still use oils, creams etc... but not as my main source. That doesn't work for my hair. Thanks so much for sharing this video and your willingness to share your education with us 💐🌷💐
Hair grease is my favorite type of moisturizer. I just spray my hair with water, gently detangle, then I apply my grease on the detangled section of hair and braid or twist it. My hair stays moisturized for several days without me having to apply anything on my hair until my next shampoo day. That's how great hair grease is.
I’ve turned back to the good old days hair grease for some time now. My hair partly grey but it loves the grease! I enjoy touching my hair. I’m trying to keep my hands out of it 😅. It’s a struggle some days but I do manage not touching my hair😂. I’ve shared your channel with my coworkers and my children. They also have resorted back to the leave in conditioners and hair grease. Thanks for your all your helpful tips and videos 🙏🏾🥰
Hair grease works so well on my hair, I ❤ Blue Magic been using it for years. I've just bought Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey Pomade and this is very good as well.
Once I found out that Blue M was not a Black owned company I purchased the key ingredients from companies which sell to all (as opposed to companies generating wealth from the Black community only) and I now make my own Black Magic! It’s very inexpensive and I no longer have to add oils to loosen Blue M because I make a consistency which is perfect for my tailbone length locs. This is all I use.
Yes!!! I tried it. You can’t go wrong with grease. It works!!! My hair loved it. ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing!!! Sending you, Tanya and everyone here love, light and good deeds. ❤️❤️🙏🙏☮️☮️
Funny I ran across this video!! The back of my hair would not stop frizzing no matter what I did or tried. So I thought let my just do what I did in highschool when I had a perm and did my braid outs to achieve a crinkle style and OMG wham no more frizz!!!!! It finally came out nice and moisturizing. So now I will be using grease here on our!!
I have been using The Blue Magic made with shea butter and jojoba oil and Japanese green tea leaves as one of my moisturizer after I put a leave-in conditioner for 3 years now. It makes my hair feel and look great!
Sulfur8, Blue Magic Indian hemp and hair lotion. My mom would always say that my hair was "wiry" growing up but she was missing a key product because when my dads ex would do my hair, she'd use grease and hair lotion and it would be thriving.
Hi Tonya, I’ve been hooked on your videos for two years now. I’ve connected my family and friends to your channel. We all love you, pray for you and Thank you for all the helpful tips, advice, recommendations etc you share with everyone. I use a combination of oils on my scalp and blue magic on my hair strands and two strand twists or braids. Any thoughts on that? I found out that my hair loves the grease and looks fabulous when unraveled or loose. I also use softee hair grease but it seems so greasy. Any thoughts on that? By the way, you look gorgeous in your video! Loving the hair and glow on your skin tone😊
Thank you! Also your regimen sounds good! As long as our hair is responding well to it, go for it! Also if the Softee is too greasy, you can try other brands. I like blue magic Indian hemp. :-)
I missed your live but I loved your advice on getting a micronutrients test!! You've said this b4 and I ordered my kit! Cant wait to see what it says😊. Also I cant wait to take your course on preservatives. This will be so helpful.
Yay ❤that’s the Blue Magic that I use. Tonya I remember too that my mom would part our hair and grease the scalp. Is this something we should practice now?
Hey sis! Thanks for sharing. 🤍 Question? Are we naturals supposed to place hair grease on our scalp as well? Or does nothing go on your scalp at all? 😅
Can hair grease be used to replace an anti-humidity gel or can I use it all together? I want to try hair grease to grow my hair and for hair retention, but I live in a humid climate and I typically put leave in conditioner and then the anti-humidity gel to seal everything in and keep my curls popping against the humidity.
I have a question. Do you use your liquid or cream leave in and then add your grease of choice? Is that how you recommend to do it? Thank you for sharing!!❤️❤️👍
I don't, but I always use it on wash day when my scalp and hair are still damp. My scalp stays supple for days and no flaking or itching. I use a leave in before putting it on damp hair. If you put grease on dry hair and scalp, it will make it more dry and itchy.
I always apply organic olive oil on my scalp & blue magic in my strands. Wash day I applied blue magic on my scalp & my scalp was itching. I am a biweekly washer mostly but had to wash to cleanse my scalp 4 days later.😮 Organic olive oil for my scalp it is.😊 Blue Magic for strands. 🎉
I use grease for my wash no go. I wash and follow with a leave-in cream. Then get out of the shower, take a section of hair, apply grease, and twist that section. I keep applying the grease by sections until I have twisted all of my hair.
Hey curlfriend! For additional details tap the 3 dots for alllll the tea! ✨✨
Curlfriend lol love it! 😅💜
Thanks for telling me about the three dots. I never knew this was where I could find more information.

Hello any tips on hair loss during perimenopause
This is exactly how my momma would do my hair everyday for school! Put that pink lotion on, put on some grease and then put my hair in plaits with some little bows!!
Classic! :-)
Yesssss, mine as well. She would sometimes use wildroot in place of the pink lotion
3-4x a week, I lightly mist with water and apply some grease. My favorite is the Blue Magic Hair Food.
Blue Magic, hands down is my go to..Hair Grease for the win!!! My hair thrives with grease!!!!!
Yess!

My hair definitely loves grease and oils too! Moisture retetion is amazing with grease

Sulfur8, Blue Magic Indian hemp and hair lotion.

My hair loves hair grease. I have different hair grease but I love kuza hair grease best best ❤❤🎉🎉
I love the kuza grease. Indian hemp is amazing!!!
My hair most definitely loves some Blue Magic Castor Oil grease!! Braided twists are my hair’s favorite protective style.
Twice a week I apply my leave in, styler and Softee Hair Food hair grease!
I pre-poo with Softee Hair Food. SIGNIFICANTLY less breakage on wash days! 🎉
I love grease ...it works for me to soften my hair
Yes! 🥰

I was a B&B grease girl growing up.
You are very pretty your hair your makeup very beautiful 💐
Her hair is long and beautiful
Royal crown & long aide K7 my mother use on our hair
I used to use Ultra Sheen the blue one or the green one there both good
My hair ❤❤❤ Blue Magic Castor Oil
Just did this after washing and twisting my hair. I love grease from G Natural, Kemistry Organics, or Natural Oasis.
Excellent ❤😂
Mines too
YEP! YOU are absolutely right. I use that exact grease.
I didn't get a chance to see your favorite hair grease. Can you tell me what kind of grease you like?
I’ve seen her say several times that she likes Blue Magic Indian Hemp
Blue Magic Indian Hemp😊
I missed your live but I loved your advice on getting a micronutrients test!! You've said this b4 and I ordered my kit! Cant wait to see what it says😊. Also I cant wait to take your course on preservatives. This will be so helpful.
Hi: where did you order the kit from? I’d love to get myself one. Thanks
This sounds like the equivalent of slugging your skincare. So I’m expecting excellent results.
Yes! Try it! :-)
Since there have been lots of conversations about the safety/toxicity of black women’s haircare, are these ingredients (lanolin, mineral oils) safe?
Hey! When used as they are intended, yes!
Yay ❤that’s the Blue Magic that I use. Tonya I remember too that my mom would part our hair and grease the scalp. Is this something we should practice now?
You can! A lot of people use grease for dry scalp. If you have a preexisting scalp condition, then grease may not be the best option.
I would use grease before loc'ing my hair, I haven't tried it since. I don't want the buildup.
OMG Mines, too
THANKS I NEEDED THAT........

Facts
Which moisturizer?
What's a good amount? Size of a hair bead, pea, dime?
My hair love it my scalp doesn’t so that is perfect
Does this work on type 2 high porosity hair?
I have a question. Do you use your liquid or cream leave in and then add your grease of choice? Is that how you recommend to do it? Thank you for sharing!!❤️❤️👍
Water, leave in conditioner and seal with grease.
@@victorianix7679 Thank you for that.
I use blue magic when I'm not lazy😅 but i was told by my hairdresser once upon a time that grease was bad for my hair because of build up
Oooo lawd my hair hated it. It took like four washes + an apple cider vinegar rinse to get it out 😅
I was never able to use blue magic. It ALWAYS irritated my scalp & gave me dandruff. Anyone else have this issue?
I don't, but I always use it on wash day when my scalp and hair are still damp. My scalp stays supple for days and no flaking or itching. I use a leave in before putting it on damp hair. If you put grease on dry hair and scalp, it will make it more dry and itchy.
What about hair grease on the scalp ?
Plenty of people use it for dry scalp, I love it, and a little goes a long way.
@@CurlyChemistry Okay I will try! Hopefully it will not revert my straighten hair at the root 🙏🏾
My old school hairdresser always greased my scalp after a wash and set. She then would massage it in before combing and styling!
How can you use grease when doing a wash n go?
I use grease for my wash no go. I wash and follow with a leave-in cream. Then get out of the shower, take a section of hair, apply grease, and twist that section. I keep applying the grease by sections until I have twisted all of my hair.
What kind of moisturizer
Any water based one is fine, I have a few in my Amazon store I love. amzn.to/3JKRrqj
Isn't hair grease a petroleum product and toxic? Wouldn't castor oil do?
Hi. What kind of hair grease does she have in her hand. Didn't show enough.
Blue Magic Indian Hemp
I love grease better than the liquid, cream stay in but liquid doesn't do anything for me. My hair is so dry .
Your hair probably needs cream based products. Try the l c o method but instead of oil use grease to seal.
Is this your real hair in the video?
OUR HAIR IS SO COMPLICATED IM SO SICK OF IT!
What about those of us that do not have a head of hair?
Put some on your legs! It works! Ash be gone! 😂
Yes apply grease to hair not scalp ! I apply nothing to my scalp
Thank you sis @CurlyChemistry❤
