@@RufusR6 I know the Adobe CC suite is SO much better on Macs. I'm pretty sure they design their programs for Macs and then just include functionality on Windows computers. It all just feels better on Macs.

However, the thermal problem is mainly on the new 15in one, as the i9 did not even perform better than i7 ver after the temperature increases. I have the 13in one and did Cinebench for it, the temp is not a problem for me, it's generally "warm" in my standard.

Just got this computer yesterday.... same model just a 500GB HD.... I will be straight up honest.... I am coming from a 2012 MacBook pro and I am blown away with the overall speed, in general use of the computer and the use of the Touch Bar. The screen is absolutely incredible. The price is hefty but you get what you pay for. The best laptop I have ever had/used. Truly a dream to use. Absolutely love it.
well it depends on what you need. the basic one should be good enough for school alone, but I as a senior in high school and also doing entrepreneurship upgraded the processor and memory. I sometimes play the sims 4 on this but I find the battery drains VERY fast when doing so. this is a work laptop and not gaming, so the way you want to use it really depends.
Ok so what exactly is best to upgrade because I really don't want to spend almost $3,000 on a laptop, but I love this particular one. Also, I have the 2014 version right now. I think personally that 8GB and the i5 processor is enough. Do you think it would be a good idea to instead get 512GB or even 1TB of storage? I have no idea what I will need to download.
