    If you normally transfer your Chase points to partners, why don't you just get the sapphire preferred or ink Preferred?

    My player 2 and I have about 200k UR points. If we use the CSR portal to book travel (except for Hyatt), we will receive additional $1000 worth credit toward our travel. We have both cards. I feel like C1X will give us more access PP lounges with guests.

    I will be running the VentureX with CSP + Bilt for my primary set up!
    Venture X =domestic saver award for now
    Csp+Bilt = Transfer to Hyatt

    I think it's pretty clear that, if the cards are viewed in isolation, the VX is better than the CSR for almost everyone, but, when other cards are factored in, the analysis gets much more complicated.
    I still maintain that the CSPreferred trifecta paired with the VX is very hard to beat if the Chase points are used on transfer partners and the groceries are bought with the CSP through a mobile app for that online grocery rewards status. The use cases for the CSR trifecta over the CSP trifecta with the VX are pretty narrow, IMHO.

      No, even as pure standalone, CSR give you a slightly better value per year of use if you apply all those Instacart/Lyft credits. It also provides unmatched travel insurances for you and your family and unmatched flexibility since you can just book what you need when you need with a 50% boost, without jumping through the hoops of travel partners. Now if you combine it with CFF and CFU and when you combine VX with SO, Chase trio till beats CO duo EVEN if you do not use Instacart/Lyft stuff.

    Once you got approved for the Venture X you don’t need the CSR anymore. Best combo would be VTX + CSP + others.

    • @maxmaxed2887
      @maxmaxed2887 หลายเดือนก่อน

      VX can't be a combo with CSP since you can't combine the points lmfao

    • @APRNVJ

      @ You can transfer and combine those points in the airline and hotel partners Lmfao..If you understand what I’m saying.

      The last thing I need is worrying about transfer partners, picking correct dates and sucking it when I don't have enough points and can't complement them with money. Travel Portal with 50% boost is the best flexibility and ease of use and allows you to combine both your and your P2 points into one boosted force

    Newbie question here, but I see both VX and CSR has Singapore airlines as their partner. So that means I can just pool my points for both and transfer them all to Singapore airlines without any problems right? Thinking of getting the CSR or CSP since love the VX as I have it. Love your videossss

      I’d like to know this as well. I have the CSP and my player 2 has the VX. I’m planning on upgrading to the CSR next year so would love to know if pooling our points makes sense as was asked here. Thanks! 😊

      Great question! Yes you can pool your points from both. I do that all the time for air Canada and KLM! Great way to speed up the earning

    • @FernsFrugalPointsFinances
      @FernsFrugalPointsFinances  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So you can deff pool points. But one thing to consider. Sometimes the transfer partner account name needs to match the credit card owners name. I’ve had trouble transferring my wife’s points to my British airways account that’s under my name. So just call and make sure you can connect accounts that are under different names

    My P2 has CSP, I am getting a CSR + CFF + CFU, she also will downgrade to CFF anew CSP for another SUP. We'll increased CFF limit and 50% boost on our com ined points.

    Is it possible to use the $300 CSR travel credit in Chase's travel portal, i.e. if a flight cost $1000, would you only have to spend $700, and would you earn points on that $700, or be able to use points to cover the $700?

    • @maxmaxed2887
      @maxmaxed2887 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You earn points AFTER you spend, so you can't use them while you purchase lol

    • @FernsFrugalPointsFinances
      @FernsFrugalPointsFinances  หลายเดือนก่อน

      great question. The $300 credit starts being used right away. So if your first purchase is a travel purchase then it will work for the $1000 travel transacation. You will pay the $1000 upfront then within 48 hours you get a $300 credit back on your statement. Then the $700 will get the travel multiplier.
