🐬 I’ve had this card for a couple of years. It’s a definite keeper for three reasons. 1. Yearly free night which I’ve always received way more value than the 95 dollar annual fee. 2. Late check out and room upgrades (I’ve scored some nice rooms). 3. Another free night(s) with relatively lower spend. You spend 15k on card you get a free night plus that 15k spend usually ends up being at least enough points for a standard room but depending where you stay can lead to two nights earned. Great card!

CSR + CFU + CFF + United Club Infinite. That’s all I’ve been using. Maybe I’ll grab some business cards for Subs this year.

You can just call chase customer service to get this done. My wife and I did it and the transfer was instant.

I just picked up the Hyatt card, I will mainly use it for the free night and the 5 nights that it comes with. I normally stay 20-25 nights at Hyatt's so the 5 extra nights will get me close enough to justify getting Explorist status. the card I have next on my list is IHG, the free night plus $25 in United travel bank are nice. I do currently have the United Explorer and was considering switching to the Quest once my AF hits. I just booked a nonstop United flight from IAD to Tokyo in premium economy for 130k Miles.

Your QNs didn't get washed away. When holding the card, you have Discoverist status regardless of how many nights you have. But the card also provides 5 QNs. Those were added on top of your stays - giving you 10 total.

If you get 2x back on the 1st 15k non-category spend in 6 months, BUT ALSO, after 15k spend, you get that extra Cat. 1-4 free night certificate. Sounds like it could make sense to go for that over using your Freedom Unlimited, at least for that 6 months. I’m interested to see what you end up doing or if you’re able to take advantage of both! Great content!

🐬 I got the card as well after you got it. You don’t start from 10 qn with the card’s discoverist as far as I understand it, and the second half of the bonus only applies to those purchases that would normally be 1x. Thanks for the vid!

Just got this card as well with the 65k bonus, I've been wanting it for so long but I wanted to finish the chase trifecta and get the United Explorer first. I plan on getting the IHG card next for the free night plus travel bank credits. I get one card every 6 months so i stay within the 5/24.

So you know you only get a free night certificate for the first 15k spent. You don't get it for every 15k spent.

Congrats first of all. The most important you got approved! Definitely move some of that credit limit around through Chase private portal message request. I want three cards CSP, Capital One X, and Hyatt. I'm currently at 4/24 but holding off a bit since i recently got approved for Savor card with excellent credit this past December, so need to garden at least until September and get the Capital One X card when the new iPhone 17 Pro Max comes out. Got to be strategic ~~~

Do you think that you may be close to the maximum available credit Chase will extend you? That may be why your last few cards have had such a low limit. 🐬

Damn I applied a little over a week ago. I just called to see if I can be considered for the 35K bonus instead of the 30. They told me to call once I’ve met the spending limit. Do you have any previous experience with a similar situation? Great video btw!

I live and fly out of EWR as well. So I get the pain of having amazing credit cards perks but not being able to use them on all flight segments . If you go with the explorer card, consider the business version, you get all the same perks but don’t burn a chase slot. If you go the united club route, consider the Penfed Pathfinder ($99 AF that you can waive) and the US Bank Connect ($0 AF) cards. They give limited priority passes every year so maybe get one for you and your P2. I look forward to future content especially how you redeem non UR points to fly out of EWR.

24 months financing and maybe 4% cashback on Apple products that would be awesome

If you're using transfer partner do you really need the CSR when the CSP would work the same? It feels like the Amex Plat will provide better starting status at Hilton.

Looks like a great setup. Depends on your home airport but Delta cards with TakeOff15 and using JetBlue with my Platinum card to get the 35% boost when I can’t find delta flights. Good way of getting 1.2-1.5cpp consistently

I like the information but for me you talk fast. I would prefer a few minutes longer but a slower pace. Just my feedback.

I'm 40 years old, my total CL is currently $283,100 across 20 cards. No, nobody realistically needs this much credit limit lol. But it's nice that no matter what utilization gets reported, my score barely changes. (And no does not mean I carry a balance)

I’ve never added my credit limits up before so this was interesting. Millennial here with a total credit limit of almost $85K (not including a $12k limit on a store card I never use). That’s a lot higher than I would’ve guessed and I plan on adding another 3-4 cards in 2025. Like you I also pay my card balance weekly.

The United Club card does not get you into Polaris lounges. You get into Polaris lounges free if you book UA Long-Haul Business (Asia, Europe, Oceania, etc.). But of the 3 EWR United non-Polaris lounges, C123 is the best...it has showers and self checkin.
