- We grow 75%+ of our food. That's most of what we eat, but this weekend we're eating ONLY food that we grew or raised. Grass-fed beef. Pastured chicken. Pastured eggs. Raw milk. Chemical-free vegetables and fruit. Raw honey. And we'll drink mint tea instead of coffee 😉

LOVE videos like these! A lot of channels show the planting and harvest but never show how to actually use it all! Please keep these coming!
Thanks for letting us know! We plan to do more 😊
You have an ideal family. May GOD bless your family always.
I admire you both for what you do in your homestead. May your tribe increase.
Thank you!
Hi, you people are so wonderful, you inspire me so much, I only wish my husband felt the same as me toward living like you guys. I love how you are so united and work together for the benefit of your little family. May the Lord Bless you all. This is coming to you from Australia.
Welcome here! Blessings.
Nigella Lawson adds tin fish to her leftover mash potatoes to make fish cakes
you five have restored my faith,,,
Absolutely loves your amazing family. Am especially inspired that you are also involved in the church community as believers🙏
Keep up the great work. ❤

@@evelynhill4826 Welcome here!!
❤Love your channel. You are great parents. God bless you all as you serve him.❤
Awesome video! Your daughter saying "oh!" over the chocolate milk was the best! Such a great accomplishment eating what you grow and raise yourself!
I might be biased, but i think she’s pretty darn cute 😉
Love it! This is how I grew up & I'd love to see more people get back to raising their own food. Especially since it would be so much more nutritious than what is available in stores. Not only that children would learn some great skills even if the family only had a small backyard garden.
Great job! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Totally agree!
You are the only people besides me who i know who mulch your plants with leaves. Zero weeding except for the occasional tree seed that sprouts. We ROCK. We are the smartie pants of the garderners herd lol love your garden! ❤️ 😍
You Guyz are SO REAL & LEGIT
Much love from Kenya. You are my favourite homesteading channel. Such a beautiful family.
Thank you! Welcome here!
Y’all are absolutely precious! Thank you for sharing part of your lives with us. I wish I had taken an interest in homesteading when my boys were little. Your kids eat healthy and well. The way you are raising your family is so wonderful. Also, the raw egg idea in chocolate milk is interesting…my dad would put a raw egg in orange juice w/a little bit a vanilla and cinnamon and it was delicious! It was our homemade “orange julius”.
Y'all are AMAZING! And...y'all are naturals on the camera. I love the pace of them. Specific, to the point, very very visual....wow!!! I really don't have any questions. Y'all really cover the subject. I've been organic gardening and canning since 2009. Really appreciate all that y'all do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
High compliments! Thank you so much!!
Hi Michelle n Cody 👋😊
It’s such a joy to meet you kids!!

Thanks for sharing, and welcome!
Maybe you could add oatmeal to your crisp. That might help and taste yummy. I really am enjoying your channel. Great ideas! 👍
Beautiful family ❤
Your children are beautiful and look happy. I'm watching from South Africa
Thank you! Welcome!
Absolutely love watching your channel-
Great family!! ❤️🙏

You're so welcome! Thanks for the compliments 😊
This video is so inspiring!!!
This is inspiring!!! Can’t wait until my husband and I can buy ourselves a chunk of land to do this on, it’s our dream, ya’ll have a beautiful family!
New sub here, love your channel! Your family lifestyle is teaching your kids valuable work /life skills they will have with them forever. My grandfather did things very similar & even though I live in a suburb, I’ve adapted some of the things I learned by just watching and helping him. 11:28
Glad you're here! That's really cool 😊
Love your Videos!! You have a beautiful family!! You are so very Blessed to have each other!!
Thank you! Yes, we are blessed:)
Omg You guys !! I just found this channel and it had INSPIRED ME and encouraged me. What a godly family. I love this absolutely love it !
So good to hear! Blessings to you.
Since I saw the first video I got hooked up with you guys… you’re so lovely, beautiful family… love your garden and your cooking… being so young it is admirable… great job
I love how real you guys are in your videos. 😊
Interesting challenge, also great way to use what you have on hand. Kudos
I love the outtakes at the end. 😁 I am not brave enough to eat raw eggs in my chocolate milk or ice cream. Fear of raw eggs is one of those pre homesteading things I haven't conquered yet. I should probably work on that. That ice cream looks amazing!
It's really good for you! I wouldn't recommend using grocery store eggs though. And yes the ice cream is incredible 😉
This is the homestead DREAM and goal to so many of us. I love this video. Would be cool if you could do a 1 week or 30 day challenge. Maybe a video series about it 👀👀.
As always love your videos, the editing and filming is so good!
That would be fun.. and a lot of work 😉 Thanks for the idea!
We got a whirrly pop as a wedding present in 1998 and we still have it and use it. It is sticky and greasy but still works great.
We tried the potato cakes for dinner last night after watching this video and oh my goodness they are so good! Little bit of bbq sauce and sour cream - perfection. Love watching all your videos, thanks for taking the time to do all the filming and editing so we can have a peek into your homestead :)
Oh that’s so cool! Glad you enjoyed that. And you’re very welcome 😊
I'm a live-in nurse/caregiver for seniors, and my favorite mashy taters are 1 regular potato, 1 sweet potato, and 1 zucchini and mash them together, and that way I get ppl to eat them more❤❤, some ppl don't like squash but used this way I've never had any complaints ❤❤
Sounds great!
Wonderful looking food. Thanks for sharing. keep do it! You guy's are hard workers. Please pass that on to your kids.
OMG, I just found your channel and I love your whole family already.
Fantastic content, I’ll be binging all your other videos
Welcome aboard! So glad to have you here!
You guys are so cool. I just found you and i am so inspired to get out and begin homesteading.
Well thanks! Good luck!
Ezekből a gyerekekből boldog, egészséges, szorgalmas felnőttek lesznek, pontosan olyanok, mint a szüleik! Gratulálok, csodálatosak vagytok!
I lived with German communities
In my younger days .These are farmers family . 2 daughters did own restaurant. One is called Village inns
Other one is pioneer steaks house .
But I did work for some time pioneer steak house . All products comes from the farm ( only summer )
Rosemary is great with the steak and sweet potatoes.
Easy to grow and keeps thru the seasons. 👏🏼🥰
You are both very wise and I enjoy every video though I am no longer able to do much in the garden as I'm recovering from stroke. I am planning to make myself a wee tea garden...along with my herbs. I love the idea of using more from our garden and you are both very generous in sharing how to use stuff. Thank you.
Glad you enjoy! I hope you recover well and are able to do at least a little bit of gardening. It’s good for the soul 😊
You guys are awesome and fun .. love bloopers at the end !
Just found your channel its cool and refreshing to see cool people homesteading and making it look easy and oh so cool and fun M
ichelle and Cody you guys rock!🤙❤
Would love more cooking with what you made from coding and michele both great cooks / family videos like this .
Hey thanks 😏
Awesome content...hope your channel begins to explode with growth..you guys are AMAZING
Thank you so much 😀
That was sincerely good. Thanks for putting it together.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Codi, great video with a lot of helpful cooking hints. Your wife is a very creative and talented cook. I don't like eating eggs by themselves, so really liked the idea of adding some eggs to the leftover mashed potatoes and making healthy pancakes. The steaks looked amazing and liked the idea of cooking them on the stove and then taking the juices from it and pouring them over the steaks and bake slightly to combine all the flavors. Codi, you were a great salesmen to sell the idea of the delicious smoothie. Enjoyed seeing the cooking tutorial, dessert and snake time, the family walk and ending the day with popcorn.
Hey Ben! Glad you enjoyed!
This was a fun and interesting video. Thanks for this and I would love more.
15:17 I know this feeling you're talking about. On a smaller scale but I cant wait to build to this.
For me, it's the fresh coriander I grew from seed, lettuce, tomato's etc. Then you incorporate it and its such a sweet feeling.
I can only imagine cooking French toast from scratch, one of my favourites. God bless you guys. This is the path ❤️🙏
It really is such a good feeling! Just add a little bit at a time 😊
@morethanfarmers I shall. I haven't had the room at my rental as my raised beds weren't ready but all my hundreds of seedlings have been going to my clients and I've had the pleasure of taking home some of the harvest, and it's only spring here. I look forward to many more seasons to come of growth and bountiful harvests 😁
I loved this “challenge”! I read that a key adjustment to homesteading is learning to want to eat what you have. Great point about choosing not to grow wide variety.
And I forgive you for ruining that mint tea with your milk and honey. I agree with your wife - so gross 😂😂
Haha...I feel so validated with the tea😉 -Michelle
Wow I just started watching you guys and I will just say you are awesome young people can I just want to say you're a very lucky man to have your wife Michelle cooking I've learned a lot in the last one episode that I watched this one you're very lucky you guys are awesome
Well thank you! Glad you enjoyed 😊
Milk & heavy cream is absolutely delicious in any tea 😊
Amen!
Nutritional yeast is good on many things- veggies- meat- eggs- popcorn
Thanks guys, great video, great planing. You both work well together.
Well done.
Thanks Mary!
You guys definetly make a spend video.
As I was raised as half homestead half city, and the homestead was pretty luxury if you don’t do it full time!
The outcome is priceless though. I’m %100 sure these younglings are going to crush it in the future!
Thank you! It's really great as a parent to be affirmed! Glad you were able to get a taste of homestead life!
You are such an inspiration! My husband and I want to retire and start homesteading. Do you accept visitors or specific operational questions?
That’s cool! We don’t do visitors, sorry, and we try to answer as many questions as possible 😏 You can shoot me an email to codi@morethanfarmers.com and I’ll see what I can do!
Awesome video! This is good living. The food looked delicious. Make more videos like this. I wish you all the very best.
Thanks! We have ideas for future ones 😊
We LOVED the recipes ebook. Thanks guys.
Our pleasure!
😊😊😊😊😊 Thank you very much for the information. 😊😊😊😊😊
Loving your videos, you deserve more subbies with your effort to give us good content to watch
I appreciate that! We've been at this for a solid 2 years and are finally seeing some nice growth! Really excited😁 So glad you're enjoying the content!
This is a good practice. Seeing how much dependency one has on the grocery grid vs. ones own home grown food. Not having rice and coffee would be the hardest for me.
Yup...those are rough:) There's nothing more fulfilling than having a meal thats totally off our homestead:)
Respect Guy! Bravo
Perfect channel 🕊️💛🕊️
Love watching your show.
I am so over Hollywood - real people, doing real life is where my support is 👊🏼
I am interested in what brand of ice cream make that you have. It looks creamy.
Right on! Our favorite is “Deni’s”.. We found it at a thrift store, I don’t think you can still buy them new. Cuisinart makes a good one too.
I loved this video! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
You can make your own vanilla you should try it! It’s perpetual once it’s done. Just keep adding vodka. Buy organic vanilla beans and let it marinate for 1 year - best vanilla you’ll ever make. But make sure you get really good vanilla beans. I used vanilla beans while visiting Tahiti.
Just enviable. Thanks for sharing your amazing exeprience.
Our pleasure!
You guy's are amazing thanks to share 😊
Everything looks delicious
I'm so glad the "MOMMY! MOMMY!" is not just at my house. I mean I know that wasn't the point of the video, but I just feel completely validated. Thank you.
Haha! Glad i could do that for you 😉 Havin kids around all the time is part of homesteading and homeschooling, so i guess it is part of the point 😏
Hey y’all! Love your videos! I would love to suggest that next time, just burn your asparagus stalks (without gasoline) right we’re they are. That ash/charcoal will be a great carbon incentive for your soil.
We tried that this year.. didn’t work out that great 😏
This is the single reason I started growing tea. & a tea garden. Camellia sinesis. The seeds are not costly. And they grow well in most of the US
SUPERB CONTENT!
Well done.
I feel like part of the family 😂. Love these videos!
Love to hear it 😊
New subscriber here! Loving all your videos. We just had our fifth baby and i feel like i nag my husband to buy land. Unfortunately, land in our price range would be about an hour from our church. He too is on the worship team (bass).
Blessings from California 😊
Hey, that’s so cool! It can be hard to know what to do about getting land. We ended up about half an hour from our church, but we ended up leaving that church anyway and are closer now. Wish you the best!
Just found your channel. Great content and videos. Thank you.
You guys are awesome!!!
I love how Codi says “WE aren’t into making the hard cheeses yet…” 😂😂 That’s a royal “we” if I ever heard one… I’ve only watched a few of your videos and I’m enjoying them, but I get the sense that Michelle makes the cheese… and the omelettes and the butter and most of the meals 😜🤣
Great work MF team, thanks for sharing your knowledge & journey 🙏🏻
Codi here 😊 Most times I would agree with you on that, but actually I am planning to be the one to make the hard cheese 😁
I’m sure that he has many chores that he does.
They look very dedicated to their family and very balanced in their family responsibilities!!
Praise and prayers for their family.
So wonderful to see such young parents so hard working and making an awesome home for their children.
You guys are so cute. Shout out from Bklyn🎉
Welcome here!
Thank you so much. This was pretty cool. 😊
You're welcome!
So glad to see your family working cooking and living the best life ❤...( hint add oatmeal to stained raspberries sauces than add topping before baking) thick soft crisps, works great with apple sauce, or strawberry rhubarb, and any other fruit berry or pumpkin sauce to oven crisps, pack well for lunches and snacks still soft
Thanks for the tip!
I just found your channel you are an amazing family your kids are so luck to have you as parents
Thank you so much!
Can you do more of these videos!!?? Maybe some what you eat in a day to?
We have one about food we made on a camping trip coming out in a couple weeks 😊
This was a fun video! You guys are adorable
Aw shucks 😁
This food looks awesome! Have you tried the potato cakes for breakfast topped with maple syrup or strawberry jam? They're amazing☺️
Never tried it! Guess I'll have to 😁
I just discovered your channel yesterday and I’m binge watching your videos. I am so impressed with you! I am about twice your age and I have done many of the same things: homeschooling, bees, organic gardening, chickens, etc. But, I never did it all at the same time to the degree that you are doing it. I’m surprised that your TH-cam channel doesn’t have more subscribers than it does but I believe it will really take off. I have my own small channel that is no where near as interesting as yours. I know I will learn a lot from you both. What a great team!
Welcome to the channel! So great to hear that our journey is encouraging even for someone who's been at it for longer than we have. Good luck with everything this year!
For cobbler that that is sauce like, I make the top as a sheet cake. Then I put the cake on the sauce and bake again. I enjoy your channel.
Sounds like a cool idea.
Maybe a light pie crust for your raspberry crisp and put the crisp on the very top? Orange marmalade on steaks maybe sounds good. I love your channel, am a subscriber. Wish I could live like that, my kin did in the past. Thinking I may be saving dollars for country living. 😊 Omg you guys are making me hungry! Looks great!
😂
Self sufficient me is an australian homesteader- they did a 21 day challenge to eat only from what they grew! Would love to see you guys try this
I have been doing this thing i saw a while back for carrot storage. Basically, you layer carrots and sawdust. Dampen the sawdust. Then keep them cool. Carrots keep a long time this way!
I've heard of that. We needa try it!
I SO ADMIRE THE WAY U R LIVING A HUMBLE LIFE WITH MOSTLY EVERYTHING U GROW ❤ BUT MOST OF ALL ANY YOUNG FAMILY WOULD HAVE JUST GIVEN UP AND GONE TO MCDONALD'S OR THE GROCERY STORES..GOD BLESS UR 🙌 ♥️ YOUNG FAMILY ON UR💖 JOURNEY 💖💖
I am so inspired ❤
Love this challenge! How fun! Great short watch that was still informative and fun. It's great that you guys throw in little bits of advice here and there so we viewers are reminded to stay grounded and remember what's important. That said, now from left field- I have been wanting to start using cast iron but thought I couldn't because I have a glass cook top similar to yours, but I see you guys use cast iron on yours....? Which reminds me that I have also had to work around that with canning too- but you guys can several items as well....would like to know more about all this...I'm a little excited at the prospect of trying things I was apprehensive to try before...
Thanks for the kind words! Yes we do cast iron and canning on our flat top stove! I will say though that we only do water bath canning on our flat top...we have a separate burner that we use for our pressure canner. I have heard that you can do the pressure canner on a flat top but haven't had the nerve to try it:)
