    Another practical (*and useful) episode which, I'm sure, will be helpful to many would-be travellers. Lovely to see Archie 'highlighted'.
    Looking forward to future adventures. Love Dad

    Archie's temperament seems so much like our 7yo greyhound. We are about to start a 4-5 month half lap with him. Thanks for the vid. It confirms our expectations of our trip. No way would we leave him behind.

    Thanks guys great video, Achie is such a good boy. We have a yellow lab, not so good on the travelling (but improving) but loves being with us. Great idea with the head light might have to pick one up 👍

    Yet another very informative video. We are looking at heading off with our pooch and you have provided a lot of insight in what that will entail. I have watched all your videos and I have only one question ... what can we do to boost your subscribers. I will think about that one.

      Hi there Big Gus!! Glad you found the video useful and hope that you can make it work travelling with your pup! Haha - great question on subscribers (you'd picked up on the subtle requests in the video??) lol

    Be careful with the tick collars, my dog almost died from one. He scratched it with his bag leg then licked that leg and nearly died. Great video thank you :)

      OMG, that’s horrible that can happen! We will have to keep a really close eye on that!! Hopefully you’re doggo is recovered and we’ll now!! 🐶

    Thanks guys very informative. Archie is such a good boy I wished my 2 were 😂 Just some advice with your smuggle if they can drink & lick out of it they can still lick a bait, has the same effect, maybe sew a patch or something at the front. Keep up the great vids 🙂👌

      Hi Simone, interesting thought, I suppose nothing is 100% fool proof. We generally keep a very close eye on him anyway even with the smuzzle on! Maybe it’s a good thing he becomes a statue when we put it on him! Thanks for watching!

      Hi everyone, I`am dog sitter, someone asked me what is the best way to transport the dogs in the car. And in my experience, the safest way is with dog seatbelts, our baby is safe inside and still can put the head out the window with no risk for you or your best buddy 🙂 Hope this help someone! 🙂

    Hey great video, who did you use as a pet sitter while you were at the Flinders Ranges?
    Thanks

    • @StaycationOz
      @StaycationOz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Manny. It wasn’t ideal, but we stayed at Rawnsley Park and they will pet sit. The only problem is they are big outdoor shaded cages, so we didn’t want to leave Archie long in them, as he is really an inside (and very spoilt) dog. I’m sure there are other options if you’re a bit more planned than we were. ☺️

      @mannyk9342 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I’ll keep it as an option 😊

    Great video and very informative. Can I just ask where you got the hammock from please?

    • @StaycationOz
      @StaycationOz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Debra. I just bought it off Amazon. Search dog hammock and loads of options come up. If you want the exact one that we have, let me know and I’ll find the link for it. The main requirement for us was that it had the netting at the front between the front seats to allow good air flow and also so Archie could see through to the front. He loves to sit with his face there, getting the air from the front middle vents!

    Thanks so much for all the effort you both go to. We have found your videos to be so helpful, especially the ones on budgets has really helped us to get organised for our adventures early next year. Archie is gorgeous and such a good dog. We have 2 toy poodles that will be travelling with us and just wanted to know the rough cost of getting Archie looked after by a sitter for the day so we can factor it into our budget. Thanks again for your videos we have really enjoyed every one of them. Keep up the good work :) Jenny & Dale

      No worries at all, glad you found them useful!! The costs of dog sitting vary quite a lot, but usually looking at around $40 a day ( more if overnight) we have paid up to $100 for the day once though! That was crazy expensive!

    • @Jenny-jr3mi
      @Jenny-jr3mi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@StaycationOz thanks for quick reply. We guessed around $40/day for 1 dog. $100/day sounds definitely too much but also understand you wouldn’t want to miss out on certain adventures so you just have to pay. Goodness hope that doesn’t mean $200/day for our two little ones 🥶 that will blow the budget slightly .. lol 😂
      We have downloaded your budget tool and it was fantastic, made it really easy to work out our budget. We were really chuffed. Also just printed out the hitching & pack up check lists. Going to laminate them & hang on fridge. Thanks again we really appreciate you both .. oh & Archie too…. Millie & Harry (our pooches) sit on our knees watching every move Archie makes. I think they wish they were having fun like him. All best. Jenny & Dale

      Oh sorry forgot to ask just roughly how many times a month would you pay for dog sitting ? Just real rough idea 💡

    • @StaycationOz
      @StaycationOz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha no problem, that’s great to hear they’ve been useful!! 👍 Yea the $100 a day was for 1 dog, it was $130 for 2 (I believe) at Yardie Creek! That is far and beyond anything else we’ve paid! Usually around $40, occasionally $50!

      @StaycationOz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends on where we are, we only ever do it to get into National Parks for longer than a couple of hours... so many be 5-7 days a month... but we’ve managed to swap dog sitting duties with some people as we go around, making it free for both parties!
