Just finished watching your whole series. You guys rock man!!! We just bought a van and are in the planning stage. If we have half a good a time as you guys, I'd be happy!!! We have a staffy also. We would love to see a bit more of Luna, especially in the water hahaha! Also can you show a bit on how you use wikicamps and plan your next stays please? Let's see the hard times and planning stages 👍👍👍 Thanks guys. Keep up the awesome work 👌
Wow mate that’s unreal! Thank you so much. How bloody awesome is that, can’t wait to hear you guys are getting out and about seeing this beautiful country! How adorable what is your Staffys name? 🐾 We do need to get better at adding Luna in a bit more, she is so funny in the water isn’t she? She absolutely loves it! We will do our best moving forward showing the planning and the wiki camps (this is something we don’t do much of, kind of wing it most of the time 😂) Jared you are an absolute bloody legend thank you so much for the support!
@chasingdreamsau You's are the bloody legends!!!! My boys name is Chief. He's a 30kg Am Staf. Mate, I've watched so much TH-cam on travelling Oz and it's you guys that I can't wait for another episode to drop. We pick up our van in 2 weeks but don't plan to do the lap for another 2 years.(My mum is ill and I won't go until... we'll..... you know). Hopefully you guys will still be on the road (or dirt) when we do it and we can have a bloody beer together! How good was that spot in Qld on the river with the bridge in the background! Stop it!!! Ask the misses mate coz you won't bloody remember the name of the joint hahahaha!!!
@@VANN_DIESEL Aww, I bet Cheif is a Tank! Mate, you have no idea how much that means to us. You have absolutely made our night! Sending you and your family best wishes and we too hope that we are still on the road and would definitely be up for a beer! If you ever see us in your area please reach out. You know what is really shocking, before I had finished reading the comment I stopped and asked Madi where you would be talking about (she knew of course). Then I read on and absolutely pissed myself! 😂 Thanks again for making my night mate, have a ripper and we will be seeing you next week!
I watched this video not expecting to learn anything new. But I didn’t know about the tapeworm paperwork for Tassie or the dog sitting apps. Thanks for an informative video.
Take a pet first aid kit with a tick remover tool and a photo of your dog that shows identifying marks etc in the event that you lose your dog and need to create posters in hard copy and online. Also a collar tag with your phone and car rego numbers.
Great information 👍 Sister and I are going to travel Australia in 12 months with our 5 miniature dachshunds. We are really looking forward to going to Tasmania! Love your videos 🎉
Thanks Mandy so glad you were able to get something out of this video. That sounds like a great trip. Tassie seems to be quite dog friendly so far! We are hopefully getting out and about soon to explore and sharing our experiences. How long are you planning on staying in Tassie?
@chasingdreamsau We plan on being there a couple of months...we will looking at property so can have a base to come back too after seeing other states!
That sounds brilliant, how exciting for you all! That is a great idea there are some beautiful spots around that is for sure. Best of luck with everything and enjoy the planning stages. ❤️
Oh wow that sounds amazing good on you guys! Wow that is seriously a hard one as we have honestly barely scratched the surface with travelling but I will give it a shot. WA Cable Beach, Broome Hearsons Cove, Karratha Bullara Station, Near Exmouth SA Bunda Cliffs NT KINGS CANYON RIM WALK - can leave dog in car park on lead or in caravan Gunn Point QLD Gregory Downs NSW Really haven’t explored VIC Echuca (there is a dog friendly steam boat) Anywhere along the Murray River TAS Swimcart Beach, Bay of Fires Tahune Adventures Air walk, Huon Valley But seriously I believe everyone travels differently and enjoys different things so try everything you can and then you will figure out what you love and remember to just have a blast together ❤️
@@chasingdreamsau awsome thanks so much for the list we are very green as vanning so others input is so helpful to give us some food for thought ect ,i am intreged with the steam boat and Tas. looks. stunning in videos . i am looking forward to going outback through the wheatbelt with allthe massive rocks to walk around after a few good rains so theres rock pools and wild flowers green crops ect along with red dirt and deserted beachs cant wait 😀
There is so so much to see and do it truely is the best experience. Can’t wait to hear that you are out there doing and seeing this amazing country. Just remember why you are doing and try and enjoy each day ❤️
No we haven’t but honestly something I think we should have done just for more peace of mind really. We have never had any issues with snakes but you really just never know do you.
@@chasingdreamsau that’s kinda why we’re wanting to do it. That and I’m terrified of snakes so I want him to be alert and know what to do coz I don’t know how I’ll react haha
Great episode, we’re Tasmanians and are off travelling end of year with our schnauzer. Tell me what did you have to do with Luna when she got heatstroke? Also the 1080 baits, do they have a specific look to them. Did you see them travelling. I know our handsome Ollie would love to meet gorgeous Luna ❤
Thank you so much, oh wow how exciting is that! We didn’t really know what was going on so just trying to keep her near aircon, plenty of water and wet cool towels. Unfortunately in the end there were no vets so we drove 2 hours to get a vet and they kept her on a drip and monitored her overnight to be sure. We have honestly never seen any 1080 bait that we know of, we have been in lots of areas where it was present. They are apparently all different and we have been told they mainly try to use ones that are a bright colour so you know. That would be great, I’m sure Luna would also love to meet Ollie. All the best with preparing for the big trip at the end of the year.
First time watcher. Do you have a dog first aid kit? We have a rotti we take away and this year was the longest we took her away and discovered some of the difficulties travelling with a dog, but like you said you choose where you want to go and what to see. Great tip on wiki, I never knew that so will add that to my filter.
Hey Kathrine, thank you so much for watching. No we currently don’t have a first aid kit for Luna, probably something we should look into though. So glad you got a couple of tips from the video. Hope you have some great adventures with your fur baby ❤️
@@chasingdreamsau we don’t have a kit either, I got the idea from the face book page travelling with dogs, there are some great tips so I will slowly start to put one together.
Thanks for the video guys, we’re looking to do a lap in a year or so with our 2 Samoyeds. Question on your comments about the 1080 baits, the baits are one thing that really concern us. Our girls can Hoover up something off the ground in a second. You mentioned be cautious, could you elaborate on what precautions you guys took. We were thinking of the net style muzzles, is this something you used?
Thank you for watching. Oh how exciting for you guys! Yeah fair call, when in an area or near an area of 1080 we kept Luna on a shorter lead and had a muzzle on her that she was still able to open her mouth and drink but not able to get food from the ground. We would also check where we parked the van and the area she would be able to get to on her lead to make sure there was nothing there. Hope this helps and best of luck planning your amazing trip. ❤️
Staffy lovers and parents here. If Em can't come, we don't go. Luna is addorable, we love watching her on your adventures 🩷
That’s so beautiful and it’s great to just share so many memories 🥰 Thank you so much for following our journey!
Such a great video! Luna is living her best life with you both.
Thank you so much, we certainly are trying to give her the best days and see this amazing country. ❤️
A great episode. Love Luna, she is such a typical stuffy, brought back some amazing memories of ours, brought tears to my eyes. Keep it up guys.
Oh how beautiful, I’m glad you got to re-live some memories ❤️
Thank you so much.

One of the best wrap up videos I’ve seen and the reality of travelling with dogs. While a door may close, there’s always another one opening.
Really thank you so much. There really are so many different options and there is no right on wrong answer on which you choose. Thanks again. ❤️

Australia is a very anti dog place .
To a degree yes, but unfortunately a few wreck it for everyone else. Same goes for free camping and the likes.
@chasingdreamsau 100% agree. But australia does have a thing about banning everything after one or two things happen. Sad, really.
