Good review, I had the same tires on my 390 Adventure and found the same thing. Tracked well in the dry, surprisingly good in hill climbs, but fell apart in the mud. To be fair it's not what they are built for so I gave them a pass.
Considering the 70 Rocks for a CB500X/NX500; looks like a perfect tire for a combination of asphalt and dry gravel. I see a lot of people pairing the 70 Rocks with a TKC 80 at the front, though. If you run a TKC 70 at the front, how do you find it in the dirt? I don't think I do enough off-road to justify an 80.
I'm running a Shinko e804 in the front (my dealer put it on after the TKC 80 recall in the US). The Shinko has been fine, fairly similar to the TKC 80. Not running a 70 up front so I can't comment on that.
Did you do it tkc70+tkc70rocks. I have Anakee adventure now, amazing on road, offroad so so, especially front. So thinking to go with TKC70. On dry offroad should be much better than Michelin AA?
@@FeathersOffroadhave you fitted any rim locks ?, I can’t locate any 3.50” rim locks for the back, only 2.50” for the front Have you had any tyre movement at 15 psi ?
@@ericjohnson1472 I don't have rim locks on this bike but I've added to another dirt bike I have. Haven't had any issues around 15. I don't think I'd go much lower psi than that though, the tire is pretty squishy. I do carry a tube just in case
havent run the mitas 07 personally but i would say that it is more dirt aggressive than the TKC 70 Rocks. Tread pattern on the mitas makes me think it might do a bit better in the mud. I dont see a ton of mud so i will probably throw on another TKC 70 Rocks
Thank you for sharing, great riding!

That's pretty much where I'm at. I'd probably buy them again knowing that I don't see much usually.

On the front it's sketchy in mud.

Agreed they aren't for mud 🤣 i was also loosing the front so maybe with the 80 front it might be a better combo.
I think I dropped it 3 times on this ride 😂
@@FeathersOffroad i had just a few sketchy moments on at xD
What tyre pressure were you running at, try it at 15 psi front and back ?
i dont remember in this specific video but thats usually what i run when offroad

Utah mostly. Some Colorado/Idaho
