    Great video, you answered some questions for me! I’m working on my Dads 1985 Kubota L345DT, I don’t know a lot about diesels. We looses one of the outlet lines trying to get to the glow plug behind it, the line leading from the high pressure pump and may have turned the base because we didn’t back it up with a second wrench. Are you saying that when the o-ring leaks it will cause the pump timing to be permanently changed requiring retiming or just that until a new o-ring is installed it won’t run right. We haven’t bled the tube leading to the injector the way you did, yet but right after we retightened and started it seemed to miss.

    Thanks for the video, it was very good! I’m rebuilding an older D. 850, and tried to start it the other day. It ran what seemed well, but cylinder number one was offering a lot of smoke and cylinder number three was offering no smoke. On cylinder number one does it make sense totighten the intake valve to allow more air to enter to better balance the combustion?

    Country sales very nice,
    I ran across my friend's kubota V1505, won't start, fuel skirt out from injection pump at # 1 and # 3 port only and non at # 2 or # 4, fuel leak out from pump shim and find out washer was installed in between shim and cover by a mechanic he hired to fix. Anyway I pulled it out but shim was badly cracked,
    The main question here Can I open the pump area to clean the port where fuel skirt???

    What is the circuit with the yellow plastic line coming out of the injector pump to the front injector body and then jumping down the line to the back injector and, I think, going to the top of the fuel tank?I’ve seen it referred to as a “fuel return” which doesn’t make sense. Also as a “vacuum line” - not on a diesel. On my 1981 L345 that line starts at the fuel line going to the pump, goes through an “air bleed” valve, jumps to all injectors, and ends up connecting to the top of the fuel tank. None of this is in my manual or parts book.

    Hi and thank you for the video !
    I have kubota l5740 hst and the fuel line going from the tank to the filter got completely clogged. I cleaned the line using a compressor, but the tractor still won’t start. I loosened the top nuts on the injection pump and no fuel is coming out of any outlets when I try to crank it. I do have a mechanical pump before the injection pump. I tried cranking up with outlet line removed and it’s seems to me barely squirting fuel. Is the pump bad now? Thanks!

      I would check and replace all fuels filter (may have a spin on & inline). Then I would try to identify what cause the fuel restriction. If it is grass, dirt, debris, etc. you would want to check the tank and make sure the screen in the tank is still present and make sure that when fueling there is not debris anywhere near the inlet when fueling. When blowing out lines to the tank it has a tendency to blow off the screen in the tank. If it is black/green it would be "algae" which would require you to treat with a biocide to prevent continued growth. "Algae" requires a higher water content to flourish in fuel, so you may want to check your fuel source for signs of water. It could be possible that the pump could have been damage prior to it being clogged as it it is a fuel lubricated pump with a very tight tolerance. If you need any further help feel free to reach out to us.

    Thank you for this video. I have performed this procedure on a kubota D1005 and still will not start. It’s getting proper air and the motor has good compression. I have pulled each glow plug and tested them and they are working properly and getting power when in the correct key position. Fuel leaves the barrels on all cylinders like yours did in the video. When I crack the lines up top and crank the engine the fuel comes out with bubbles for a bit then stops at which point I tighten the lines up. Unit does not smoke when attempting to start. What would cause this? Thank you

    • @CountrySalesService
      @CountrySalesService  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Kevin,
      Based on the information provided, I would guess one of a few things. The lack of smoke indicates that the engine is not getting fuel. This is can be caused by low compression (you stated it was good, what was the PSI you measured?). Since you indicated fuel is moving from the pump I would question the injectors. If you have not replaced them I would have them tested. Secondarily, though you may be getting fuel to the injection pump, you many not be getting the correct volume/pressure to the pump. If you have a manual lift pump I would inspect it to make sure it does not have a pinhole in the diaphragm (usually noticed if engine loses prime over a couple of days). Again, these are quick checks, I would need a little more history on the engine/machine to get a more pinpointed trouble shooting. If you need help, please feel free to contact us at 330-683-2500 and we can help you out!

      My 4350 had a rat eat through low pressure line, I replaced it with a transparent yellow fuel line and it ran.
      As it got warmer it ran less well and I could see little air bubbles in the transparent tube. I live a distance from the dealer and would like to fix without breaking the bank.
      Any advice would be great.

    • @CountrySalesService
      @CountrySalesService  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scottheller1379 Hey Scott,
      Based on what you are telling me it is pulling air. It typically comes from one of a few places. First, you should have a have a manual lift pump. If it has a pinhole in the diaphragm you can get air entering the system. This is usually seen when the engine is recently run it starts right up, but if it sits for a while it takes longer to start as the pump is causing the fuel system to lose prime. Second, inspect the fuel filter/ fuel filter base and make sure that it is properly seated, no damage, nicked gasket, etc. Finally, if the delivery valve holders of the injection pump were turned or the O-rings have "dried out" you can get air in the system as well. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

    What is the procedure for putting these barrels back to the correct timing? I want to install new plungers and have to remove the barrels to do so.. Would each barrel have to be re-timed once taken apart because everyone I watched rebuild these pumps just snugs them down with a wrench and throws the pump back into the engine

    • @CountrySalesService
      @CountrySalesService  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our injection shop uses a diesel fuel injection test stand to ensure each pump meets specifications for fuel output and fuel metering. If you replace the plungers the barrels would need to be "re-timed" to ensure they are back to spec. It is possible to get lucky and snug them down and still be in spec, but there is no procedure to do so.

    Hi, my 743 B Bobcat with a Kubota V1702 was hard starting. I purchased the correct glow plugs, thinking, at 30 years, It wouldn't hurt to replace them. I knew to hold the bottom nut on the pump side, when loosening the fuel lines to the injectors, and didn't turn any of them. After reassembly, the first pump is leaking, and I am unable to get it started. All the loose fuel lines at the injectors showed fuel leakage betore I tightened them. The first time I tried starting it I got white smoke for just a few seconds, now just black, but it won't keep running, and it isn't hitting on all cylinders. Does the pump have to be removed to fix leak? Why won't it stay running? Thanks

    • @CountrySalesService
      @CountrySalesService  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds like you have a delivery valve that may be out of adjustment or the O-rings need to be replaced. With the barrel out of adjustment you will be getting more or less fuel (running rich or lean depending on the direction it was turned). You can try and snug down that barrel and see if you can get it to seal. If not the pump would need to be removed and repaired.

    Hello, may You make video about bleeding on Kubota z482 engine? Have recently bought Avant miniloader and it stopps after 15-20 minutes of work, and its cold weather now, may the problem be in air? Does it help to pump fuel pump with hand then?

    • @CountrySalesService
      @CountrySalesService  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The process for bleeding a Kubota Z482 is the exact same process as shown, just a few less cylinders. If the engine runs for 15-20 minutes and starts to cut out I would check 2 things; First if you have a manual lift pump on the engine, I would cap it off and bypass it with an electric lift pump. This would verify if it was (could be) a fuel supply issue. Secondly, if the engine cuts out, but you can immediately restart it, I would take a look at your stop solenoid. If you need any further help please give us a call.

      So a couple of things on this, if bio diesel was used I would guess the injectors are bad. Maybe even pump and rail. But before I could diagnose it I would need to see what the actual (p) codes that are in the ECU. That would tell me if its fuel or electrical.

      Thank you for replying I was able to replace the thermo senors and got the dpf resolved.
      I still have the code “64 Engine system” code once I plug in the diesel laptop the code high rail pressure is still up. I order new fuel filters both primary and secondary the clear one. I am going to drain the whole tank. Then add 911 diesel. The customer stated he did use bio diesel and this mini ex has been sitting for 3 months. So that would be an issue.
      I’m still holding off on the fuel injectors thank you again!
