Dumpster Diving Street Scrapping - AMAZING Day for Scrap Metal and Treasures!

- Absolute banger of a day! The very first bin we checked and we got a truck full of nonferrous scrap metal! Didn't want to call the day that early though, so we unloaded and went back out, meeting up with a new friend and finding some high quality treasures. To keep or to sell.. that's the right kind of problem to have!
Wire stripper I use: amzn.to/3sirg18
The motorized stripper: amzn.to/3y0JMuQ
The wire cutters I like: amzn.to/2T6j3OW
The grips I recommend: amzn.to/2QCJmYl
The melting furnace: amzn.to/3EGxT2q
(If you make a purchase on amazon through the links above, a small amount of what amazon makes on the sale is shared with me. It's a great way to help support my channel, at no additional cost to you. Even if you buy something other than my tool recommendations!)

This would have been a good time to have a trailer, not for the weight but the sheer volume of everything.
You need a name for your business. And coveralls with a logo on the back. Business cards, a decal for the truck with specialized license plates, an official motto( already have that ), special working hours, and a technical coarse for the aspiring treasure hunter! Sound good?!
Growing up, my mom made me load & unload the dishwasher daily. Who would've thought that chore would come in handy 40yrs later when filling my truck with scrap? Like you, I always know how to make stuff fit!
The flag looks like our England flag
Good mulch from the machine. Compost it. Free potting soil .
Mike the Scavenger would call that a one and done dumpster
Always look forward to his videos, the guy cheers me up 😊
Great score in the beginning. I have commercial accounts with local grocery stores & am always getting SS kitchen equipment; so good job on your part!
Finally got a wire stripper. Working from home on a slow day. Time to make some money with my guy Thub ♻️
You need one of those portable power supplies in case you come across potential resell able items like TVs, fridges etc .
The neighbors: "Honey! The neighbor is talking to his trash again!"
That's the St. George Cross. That's the English flag🏴
Love the channel! Keep up the great work!
I love your channel and thank you for teaching us about scraping
I think it's time to open Chez Thub! You have a good start on the equipment
😆 now that would be going in a different direction! Right now it’s looking like a waffle house lol
With the commercial oven, those are convection fans, there should be bolts/screws from the inside holding the fan in. But I enjoyed your method. I would be revisiting that slide off. Thanks for the video. 🇺🇲
Great video bud, I appreciate it! I scrap too part-time.
For 40 dollars you can buy the degassing kit. Then you can get rid as you would oil. There is a course you can do, a day course this certificates you. mine can be took to the local Tip as hazardous oils. But still not worth doing refrigerators but aircons you can charge to degass then take the old ones away to ripdown. Amazing episode brother more more more
FYI: with minor cleanup you can sell those aluminium pans as cat litter boxes, much better than the cheap plastic ones.
The flag was an English flag.
Great video this week as always. And I do look forward to it each week no matter the length. I liked the format of first half finding finds, second half disassembly for max value. Not gonna lie, suuuper jealouuuuuus of those waffle makers, but then I'm a sucker for anything industrial style looking. Thank you for sharing yourself and your goals 🥰 one absolutely priceless thing you all your fellow scrapper creators provide is a sense of community we Pandas crave but rarely find❤️🥰
You're so amazing and I'm jealous of your hobby.
Hobby? I thought this is him earning his bread and butter.
Hobby? I think this is how he's earning his 🍞 and 🧈.
@@mrMacGoover My mistake. I think it's awesome if he's able to make a living from it. Jealous regardless..
Some of those commercial microwaves have two transformers
Another great video! cheers. The flag is St Georges cross from my country, England
Another great video and an excellent payday! I must say you're positivity is infectious!!
The commercial muffin tins are really worth keeping. An easy sell.
Sweet find
Nice dumpster that Thub, good amount of stainless & extruded in one hit:)
hi from Sweden
I'm in the UK. I really want to visit Sweden!
@@jamieclayton9 oki nice. i want to go to UK. i have ben in rest of europ
nice one Thub
The bent rear mech hanger on the bike might be able to be fixed and the suspension fork might be able to be serviced
Good finds!
Sweet
Another fun video :-)
Good job looks like a lot of aluminum
I scrap metals in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada
I figure that if you ask first and they say no, you can't take it,BUT, if you don't ask well then at least you can get some if not all. And some is better than none!
English flag 👍
choice score thub from another trash panda have a great w/e all the way from NZ!
That was a St George's Cross. Flown by many over the centuries but now very much the flag of England.
I would like to see what comes out of that water heater your friend gave you I hope u make a video of it
Prep table, lot's of kitchen gear/pots/pans/tray racks..."Industrial waffle maker!?! What the heck!?!" Have you tried selling the bikes to local bike shops?
Looks look my country's flag the George Cross. England. Not to be mistaken for that British union Jack.
😂top find wish was more in North west England 😅
Would consider keeping the caster wheels from the sheet tray racks to sell. Damn things are expensive and will sell preowned. Better luck on eBay than Marketplace though.
Looks like a pickle ball net
Thub, sometimes those sand bags are filled with lead shot....I've come across some before. They will be heavier than if filled with sand, quite a bit more dense....
Ohhhhhh those ones probably are!! 😮
I’d better go back and get them, they were very heavy for their size. Good call, I didn’t even think about that!
The flag was Switzerland,i believe.
He neglected to remove Copper centre from purple magnetron. Many of his viewers don't know there's Cu in magnetron.
wonder what happens to the refrigerant being but in the garbage and then probably dump? i bet it tends to be released anyway so they should make recovering it a free service but just have a minimum of like 3 or something or just make the machines to do it really cheap but we def need a better system
I think the intended process is people take their old units to the dump and pay the $17 refrigerant fee and it gets captured and recycled. Unfortunately I think we all know what actually happens; people put them out in an alley and a scrapper comes and releases the gas and recycles the copper and steel.
There’s certainly a business opportunity for a person with the right equipment to charge for pickup and disposal, but we need scrappers to not want to do the dirty in the first place
The child trailer wheels have a slightly different axle mechanism, standard wheels don't work. You could probably change a standard wheels axle to work somehow. They are also good to make a load carrying trailer, put a wooden base on it and bolt a lockable plastic box into it.
Flag of St George, England.
I appreciate you and you videos. But brother you need to learn how to use your channel locks. They are directional. Thanks again man for many great vids 👍🏻
thub can't you sell the ACs as is to the scrap yard? mine buys them even with refegerant in it
You found good crap guy , keep the bike , you can always find another one to get parts from , I seen your ear rings , ouchie
Great video ,again ,but please use your ear defenders for breaking up any types of metals ,I have had Tinnitus for over 30 years and it’s now become unbearable ,so be careful
I appreciate the reminder, and that’s a very good idea! Aluminium had an especially awful ring
I’ve sold those waffle makers for upward to $100 USD
Some are even a lot more valuable
England flag
Brother, my request was that I want to work in the company in which you are selling your goods. Please let me talk to this company. May God bless you.
Portable units cut the line let it fly
Nice pile there…do the waffle makers work…idk you spoke French. 💰🧇🐩
God bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸🇨🇦✌🏼😎 MAGA
Great score.
127k subs? Damn! I think I found your channel around 2016 and you had like 15000 subs.
Dude, every Friday I look forward to you videos. You’re awesome. Keep doing the thing leave it better than you found it
Flag of St George from England 😊
The best part of trash scrapping is what you find and find a purpose for. I would've made a tool chest with a Pan tray out of the cart and slow cooker.
🇨🇦 Last time I replaced 4 caster wheels on my cart, it cost $100, so caster wheels are worth saving & selling. 🇨🇦
It's an English flag ❤
I like seeing the prices so I can compare it to Winnipeg. I do go out hunting for treasure as well. What you call tin is a different category from what I do here, basically if it sticks it goes as steel.
next time bring in a saw saw!
Yo drizzy be safe
Awesome video
Well done Thub, you did a great job again. Always enjoy your posts. ❤️💙
enjoyed the vid,
My 2c - I do like the all in one videos where you hunt, disassemble and explain bits, then sell for cash.
The mass disassembly ones(with explanations/wisdom) with no scrap hunting are good too, providing the subject matter is sufficiently interesting, and the selling of the harvest is always enjoyable.
keep it up, I would only wish for longer videos, but I don't think most are able for the extended lengths, every audience is different.
You have not only inspired me to get into scrapping, but into "honest" scrapping. I always try and live by the, "better than you found it" motto when hunting. Love the videos!
Thanks, that’s awesome! A friend taught me a simple filter that I keep in mind: “is this about to end up in a landfill?” People tell me to knock and ask every time but that sure doesn’t fill the truck very effectively
@@thubprint When in doubt, I leave it. There will be another piece of something down the road. Not worth the headache, or hassle of taking something questionable.
Another big score for the Thubster! Wooo!
i hope you kept those muffin tins, perfect for casting ignots
Nice job have you ever had someone steal your scrap? Happened to me yesterday
Not from the truck, sometimes from the yard though
@@thubprint I was sorting my scrap in my friend's front yard and some guys in a truck just pulled up and started piling into their truck during the like 2 minutes I was in the backyard
Rad haul broski! Have a good weekend Thub.
I notice you don't take aluminum cans sometimes?
Best haul in one spot! Waffle makers are pretty cool. Extruded aluminum should have paid more. Maybe another yard would pay more?😮
Great job as always keep up the good work!
Those houses are so close together!
one day pll will realize the merit of the stuff you don't really use afterwards
Cool❤
I love pulling things like that apart and putting all the weird nuts bolts and screw in containers, I've got hundreds of them only used 2 of the bolts, the rest have been sitting for years but one day they might come in handy.
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Man, I need a truck so badly.... I've passed on so much scrap simply cuz it wouldn't fit into my tiny car
The truck is great but it does burn a lot of gas, so much that it’s meant I basically need two vehicles. The trailer is a really excellent option to consider
It's too bad they destroyed everything, restaurant equipment is pretty easy to resell.
I know! That rolling table would’ve gotten at least a couple hundred, and probably be gone in less than a day
How do you avoid getting tossed out of every place your scrap?
Either be fast or be nice I guess! 😆 I have been told to take off on rare occasions so if anyone has any concerns I’m happy to oblige
@@thubprint Are there certain places that are just a no go? I got booted out of bestbuy trying to collect the metal they tossed out and they came out guns blazing.
@@Addeatt not just a blanket no on a whole store/company, no. Although that kind of rejection is how you’d end up getting in legal trouble, if you kept going back to the same place you were unwelcome and they kept security footage of you
