    Just wanted to leave a note to anyone scrolling through comments like me: the efforts you’re making DO matter and they ARE working! Slow progress is progress, even if it’s a snail pace. It’s okay. You’re doing so well, please give yourself some credit for how well you’re doing and how far you’ve come. Your efforts matter, and your life matters. Never ever ever give up. Panic and anxiety may be the hardest things I’ve ever experienced, more so, in my opinion, than when I’ve been deeply depressed, or hurt by others. But it’s okay, and it just goes to show I’m stronger than I ever imagined. You’re stronger than you think too, I promise. It WILL get better for you, because you’re here, you’re trying. We can all do our best together 💗

      for some reason sleeping while listening those affirmations have caused me to have really bad nightmares is that from anxiety??

    • @jadamirandabug
      @jadamirandabug 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@asma-tq6qb I've gotten nightmares from stuff like this before, but I'm p sure it was just some part of my mind feeling unsafe since it had learned to find safety in being constantly anxious. My take on this is that your subconscious mind, which is always on and has the least distractions in your sleep, is having a stressed response to these new thoughts/suggestions. Your subconscious is very powerful, and it's also very smart-so when you suddenly start changing the information it's getting, it might become temporarily upset/suspicious/uncomfortable. If you're having nightmares with this, it's okay to take a break and try again in a day or two! You could also try listening just before sleep and see if that helps. I'm just someone with my own experience and interest in the subconscious (so not a professional counselor or anything like that) so what works for me might be different than what works for you. I've had a lot of success lately with hypnotherapy and (trustworthy) subliminal videos :) I find them more gentle and easily accepted by my mind than affirmations like these! If you persist in a method that works for you (but also be gentle with yourself- you don't want to overwork your mind in the same way you don't want to overtrain your muscles!), the nightmares will likely stop. Staying hydrated might help as well

    Seriously, I can’t thank you enough. It’s 2 am and I woke up thinking the world was caving in but I put on this video and opened a window and found out it’s raining and I just sat there and felt the breeze while I ate a light snack. I’m so calm now, thank you so much. I will NOT let my anxiety dictate my life.

    To you reading this right now-You are not alone in this. You are beautiful and strong. Everything will work out for your good. Don’t fight the anxiety. Instead, embrace it with everything you have. Let it work it’s way through naturally. There’s nothing wrong with you right now. This is completely normal. This too shall pass. Peaceful thoughts, tranquil feelings, restful mind. Be at peace. Heavy eyelids, sleepy head, weighted down. Breathe out, close your eyes and Rest.

    Very boring evening in work yesterday very little to do, I was listening to music in my earbuds but found myself drifting off into memories of intrusive thoughts and horrible anxious feelings that have been completely under control lately. Still slightly upset by bedtime so tried this video, I thought your podcasts were outstanding BUT this is something else for calming the mind and soul into a deep and relaxing sleep.
