    For non boat owners:
    Imagine you are sitting in your legally parked car in a parking lot and someone parks next to you and kicks their door open into your car while getting out.
    If you think that is a problem, you'll understand why boat owners consider you hitting their boat a problem.

      Translation/apology for parents and boat owners:
      Imagine your daughter is excelling in math, science, music, history, several competitive sports, extracurriculars, and student government, and one day you find out she’s getting played by some player with an IROC-Z and an Ecko UNLTD credit card.

    We no longer boat, but when we did, we did it exactly how Darcizzle and Puddin do it. She loved driving the truck and trailer, but hated driving the boat. It's so much faster and more efficient than using ropes to float it off the trailer, where you're at the mercy of the wind and current.

    • @fatboyrowing
      @fatboyrowing 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My wife and I did the same thing, but I’d be the tow rig driver and she’d be the boat pilot. She’d nose the boat into a congested dock, I’d jump off and get the trailer. Meanwhile she’d just idle about somewhere off of the docks. When she’d see me backing in, she’d point the boat toward the trailer and be powering the boat onto the trailer only a few moments after it was wet enough. I’d hook up the winch line, crank it taught and pull her and the boat out. She’d be wiping down the cockpit with a towel and organizing the skis, ropes etc as I was driving to the tow-down spot. Teamwork baby!

    • @danratsnapnames
      @danratsnapnames 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      not all boats can be hand wench loaded. some you must power onto the trailer. some trailers are horrible and float, which requires you to power onto them.. however most ramps in florida are not that bad, and powering onto a trailer is nothing and normal practice.. also powering off of a trailer is another big one out here in florida. some ramps just dont have a drop to them on low tide, and there's no other way to get the boat off of the trailer.

    • @tishbrett

    If you approach the dock on the right side and secure the bow, if the back of the boat begins to drift left, could you turn hard right and reverse to pull the back of the boat to the dock?

  • @SlimWhittman
    @SlimWhittman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Red Top Legend could have laid his boat perfectly on the dock like a Tesla in summon mode. He's pretty much the polar opposite of the guy poorly attempting to operate that Jupiter.

    Great backing up, but it appears no emergency brake. Truck slammed into it's park gear upon loading

    New to the channel. I've never had to use a boat ramp as we always had a cottage so forgive the newbie question. The ramps seem steep. Is this normal?

    • @Oxinder
      @Oxinder 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it’s normal. Shallow ramps are harder to use as you must back in farther to get the boat to float off the trailer. The ramp I use down in Alabama is so shallow my suv is in the water.

    1:12 They got 550 lbs of Men that could sit in rear of truck bed, plus remove 200 lbs of load from the boat.

    7:15 nobody goin talk about a f-150 towing like a 26-30 ft boat?

    • @Bubbles99718
      @Bubbles99718 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think max tow can be as high as 12k or so.
      Still, u never want to be at the limits of a vehicles tow rating.

      Ford backup-assist doesn’t work with the tailgate opened. What made you “pretty sure”? Unless you were counting experience as assistance…?
