That’s crazy , not one but two wheel Hubs come apart.
The first guy was so excited, he rode that jetski all the way from home.

The first wheel come off with the bearing, probably seized and they drove with it, then when it hit the cold water it contracted and popped off. The second one looks like it lost it’s last lug nut. Careless operation in both parties.

It came out with the *hub* Came right off the spindle. Likely with *both* bearings...
@@Tyler-zw4kq when the bearing is run dry it will literally melt the balls or rollers, and the outer race can then slide right over the inner race and nut.

If you don’t have a dock line mate at the forward and aft cleats, then use the center cleat to keep the bow and stern against the dock.

People neglect care of their trailer, its as important as the boat! You cant get the boat to the water without a healthy trailer and pulling vehicle!
Did anyone notice that while the Dingleputz family was busy loading the boat , losing a wheel and just generally standing around with their thumbs up their butts, how efficiently the blue boat launch went!

watching people totally unprepared to dock, and then get upset it goes wrong is so fascinating. Broncos Guru narrating though is why the channel is awesome, need that real boater perspective along with the footage .
That's insane!! 2 tires in one day. Some seriously shady trailers on those roads down there. However, Kudos to the crew at @5:50 on the left with the blue boat, perfect launch, handling and delivery and all kids close to mom!!! Well oiled machine there!!

You have heard of the loose nut at the steering wheel, it also applies to trailer spindle nuts.

A lot of the trailer tire comments are spot on. But I will say this. I had a 2 year old "high quality brand named twin axel trailer". The axels were square metal piping with an oval plate welded to the ends which held the wheel and hub mechanism. Fortunately it didn't happen on the roadway, but as I had submerged it to launch my boat the "plate" and the end of the axel separated. When I brought the rig to my trailer guy we looked and you could clearly see that the welds never "took" between the plate and the axel. The temperature never got hot enough to do anything but melt the welding rod. That is a problem when the welding is done by machines and not a human. Maintenance is usually the culprit, but occasionally poor production can cause a nightmare also. It was a Ventura trailer. Barely two years old and used lightly.
There's a staging area for you to load everything on your boat . Never back down the ramp and then unload your truck . Rookie mistake . smh .

Apparently dock lines are an afterthought in Florida. Up north here we put them on before arriving at the dock. Seems to work much better. ;-)
Anyone notice the 13" whaler there when the tire popped off? I had one with a 40hp two stroke that fly, awesome boats
Basic Maintenance needed and that you do when coming home from a day in Da Water, and before you go out, like checking trailer lights, etc., and guarantee you that over 50% of these Einteins don't have a trailer spare tire.
The trailer tire bolt script in the Matrix was on the fritz.
Trailer bearings probably came apart when they were driving down the road. That’s what happens when water gets inside the hub or they are not greased enough. It happened on one of my older boat trailers which was only a single axle.

Better to lose a wheel at the ramp then on the highway. When I was a kid a saw a boat lose its rudder in it's slip. The owner just shrugged and said "better hear then out on the Bay".

Bearings definitely built up heat and once they backed into that cold water, it was over!

Probably lack of lubricant on the bearings caused the axel shaft to get so hot that the cold water quenching cracked them. Or quenching the bearings caused them to contract and seize and the twisted the brittle shaft off.

This is why I grease the bearing at least once a year if not more. Also, I feel the hub after a drive with the trailer. Hot hub = possible failure.
Note: Your talking about over 20 minutes standing at the boat ramp loading the boat and the 2 jets skies are just sitting there taking up space…. Haha. Both should have been LONG GONE…..!
And the big boat at the end…. The lady sitting up front doesn’t get up because that would be considered “ exercise”…. So she just sits there and keeps tossing the rope from the seated position
Yes I noticed that, as was stated before the Captain should have educated both crew on helping when docking, it looked like the stern line was not attached.

@@gwilliammaggs - Clueless twits with no business being on a boat. They probably have no clue where any of the gear is, including the PFDs, fire extinguisher or first aid kit. The skipper needs to spend 10-15 mins pre-launch, explaining all of this and what everyone's duties are, leaving and arriving at the dock.

2 tires , one vid, trailer/ bearing maintenance is overlooked way too much, but I am almost just as bad, but, caught it close to home. No boat ramp fails though. Saltwater and neglect, it doesn't take long.
It takes me literally 10 seconds to load and unload our 29 foot yacht.
Girls can do it too.. 🤣🤣

This tells me they never grease their bearings. We always grease before we leave the house, and again after we pull it from the water! Never changed a bearing yet!

Saltaway mixed with water in a pump sprayer after each launch on the bearings torsion axle will make your trailer last forever. That tire coming off was years of neglect

That can happen when you don't take care of the axle bearings. Driving it with no grease will super heat it. Then once it touches the water...boom. It comes apart. If you look at the wheel you can see the hub is still attached to it.
Just had it happen to me…whole wheel hub shitted out and tire came off! Except mine is a single axel! Glad it didn’t happen while driving 60 down the road

Lack of maintenance is how that happens. Luckily 4 those 2,they had dual axle trailers.
Lost a wheel and tire as we launched the boat once. Figured the hub got too hot and instantly cooled when it submerged, causing the hub to completely break free from the trailer.
Damn. Fixing to walk out and check my tires. Lol.
Need to check those trailer wheel bearings once in a while...

Capt Bella, Hey Broncos, its bad trailer maintenance, not washing your trailer fully, and not checking axle bearing hubs, and making sure they have enough grease, the cotter pin rusts away and the nut backs off or rusts and splits in half then the whole hub just pops off..
After flushing your motor always rinse your wheels & axles right away!!! Salt water works fast
Never in my life seen a wheel come off. However, have seen a trailer fall off the hitch because it wasnt latched properly. Always put your chains in folks!

Someone either serviced the bearings or brakes or they haven't been serviced since new and the tire or bearing bolt wasn't secured or wore out and the hub came off with the wheel.

Probably ran a bearing no grease in the hub, it got hot an cooled in the water an came off. Im first hand experience with this. Make sure you have bearing buddies on your hubs an grease them every other outing. Been there done that. I carry a grease gun with me since being a trucker 50yrs. Im always thinking ahead. Wow I could really teach people alot as I also operated a training class on the job training. Me an my trainee went from Atlantic Ocean to the pacific ocean one a week every week. 30,000 miles a month. Took patience that I did have in 1971 that I don't now. Im retired an dragging my 20' ,G3 Yamaha tunnel john boat 115hp having more fun than an old fart should be allowed.
I had 2 of the best days with my boat. The day I bought it and the day I sold it...

The wheels coming off usually happens after the trailer has been sitting for a while. Wheels fall off trailers allot actually... tags too... trailer maintenance is one of those things they never teach you ....

Soak a hot bearing in cool saltwater and you will see a tire break.loose. Mine got so hot I thought I blew a tire but it was actually bearimng burning grease and water. Luckily I was pulling into my driveway when I saw it. Tire and hub came right off.

Frozen berry wearing through the axle happens a lot
snapped spindle. almost happened to me few months ago but i noticed it before complete removal. i had welded spindles so had to replace axle.

Funny the guy in the boat that lost a tire on the trailer seemed oblivious to the fact that in feel off or that the people next to him retrieved it.

Re losing the wheel/tire assemblies - With the number of boats powering on to the trailers. could there be a deep trough at the end of the ramp for the wheel/tire assemblies to get caught on? Any trailer axle/hub in poor condition would be especially vulnerable.
