Hot Wheels Comic-Con Unboxing, Part 2: KITT w/ working light & Mandalorian Razor Crest

- Part 2 of our look at the Hot Wheels X SDCC Exclusives, with the two that I am most excited about. The Mandalorian Razor Crest is a beautiful piece for display, made with "Beskar", but it is the Knight Rider KITT with working light that is the start. Check it out.
Available at SDCC starting today and on the Mattel Creations Website tomorrow.

They should make police cars with working lights
I think anything police is off the table for a while.

actually tomica got plenty of 1/64 that got lights & sound on them
@@dvniel_garage Oh yeah, both Tomica and Majorette have 1/64 cars with lights. But as far as I’m aware, this is the only time I’ve seen a 1/64 scale KITT specifically with a working ‘cylon’ tracer light. That’s pretty unique.

I have the Hallmark version of Kitt and it's 1/64 scale with the Scanner and it talks. It doesn't have an interior and it's plastic.

Thanks for unveiling this for those of us who couldn't go to Comic-Con this year. The best part of the show being 40 is that now in life I have the dispensible $$$ to make it rain on eBay if I want to....and will do later tonight. 😁😁 KITT aside, let's have some kudos for the marketing et. al. team that designed that packaging and presentation! Having been there, done that, it is not an easy task. Obviously some fans in that team.

They need to make the Kitt an RC also, and it'd be a home run with a light and being able to drive it around the house.
Before this, the smallest scale of KITT w/running lights was from Aoshima 1/43 (very rare nowadays) very detailed, button battery operated. I got mine before the 2011 Tsunami in Japan, most of their stocks have been washed away :(

as someone who got into HW because of the star wars character cars and starships, I'm looking forward to the Razor Crest. Mattel recently discontinued the smaller starships that they have offered since 2014 (I think). A few months ago they released a larger scale starship which matches this one. Wave 1 included Razor Crest, Tie Figher, X Wing and Boba Fetts Starship. You have a chance at getting a chase or "variant" as its labled on the package. basically battle damaged. So with this SDCC exclusive 3 of the first 6 starships out this summer are variations of the Razor Crest.
what you missed in the video is a beskar display stand that the starship mounts on. def gonna try for this one tomorrow! Great video!
I had no idea Hot Wheels released a new Star Wars line. Thanks for the heads up! The 1:50 scale Starships Select... The Razor Crest and the Tie Fighter look like the best of the bunch. The X-Wing looks like a cheap plastic throwaway toy. How much metal are in these things?
Hey Lamley group you won't believe what I found at my local flea market I found 3 Hotwheels RLC cars and 1 is a club exclusive the Blown Delivery and I found the RLC HI-PO HAULER and RLC 1964 DODGE 330 from 2019 and I found the hotwheels 2022 E case super treasure hunt 2020 corvette

They provide stand for that mando ship. You need to take out the beskar metal to access the ‘beskar stand’👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I saw some customizers out there have modded switchable lights and turnable wheels on their hotwheels. It's cool to see Hotwheels adapt these concepts on their productons. Hope to see more out of Hotwheels.

It was a valiant try, I was in line to check out for the Knight Rider KITT and then like a red ring of death it sold out D: Happy for those that got them, but CRAAAAAP! It would have been a nifty "RLC" perk to have early online access to SDCC Hot Wheels. None the less, thanks for showing it Lamley. Happy to see that little light in action! Awesome design!

I would've gotten the Hot Wheels KITT but the scale is top small for my taste. Happy for those that got it tho. Enjoy. I'll have to lookout for other KITT replica manufacturers to complete my 1: 18 scale collection of Delorean and Christine.

I would love to have the knight as well,but because they are comic-con specials they are expensive as hell! 😐 The rasor crest i found it in a simpler boxes edition i think a little smaller,without the beskar plate of course! In general an awesome video and review as well! I am going now to dissapoint my self by see the high price tag in thisnkitt model! 😆
Had it in my cart 30 seconds after the sale started and while waiting in queue to check out it was removed from my cart and marked "Out of stock".
I really hope they do a retail or specialty vendor run, this is the version of KITT I've wanted since I was 4.

as someone who does not care bout star wars, i cant really appreciate ship. detailing seems pretty nice tho, but i kinda hate it. it lacks color. like, cockpit glass, etc.

The razor Crest replica is crap and as a fan of the mandalorian I think it's not even nice lol which I think you are being too much lol. Totally agree on kitt though. I'd like to spank Mattel for not making this a wide release and only an SDCC exclusive. They should have put a sound chip in it charged 50 bucks and made it a wide release.... Or simply as is for the $35 as a wide release. Which I almost guarantee will happen sooner than later maybe even as a universal parks exclusive like they've done in the past with larger scale models of KITT
@@mikalmos369yea, as someone who lives in smallest country of middle europe (Slovakia) i sure feel lack of not only KITT but other special models and even transformers figures (my second collection hobby) here. thus far i have only basic screen time KITT which was in mainline.

Really like but until it can replicate William Daniels voice AI(maybe for the 50th Anniversary)where I can ask it questions only KITT would know I will stick with some of the other versions previously released.
Bobba Fett blew because he took off his helmet. End of story. That Razor Crest rules! Is it Beskar and Zamac? That Knight Rider is ultra cool. Look at that gleam. What a beautty. Two more models that would definitely send me to the poor house, but thanks for giving me the closest look at them I'll ever get.
I like that KITT, but it was $35 dollars on Mattels site, and I can't see paying that much for a 1/64 considering I bought the Scalextric Slot car for $70, and it's 1/32 Scale with much more detail and a great working scanner.

I tried so hard to get this offline. I was on there at 9:00 a.m. waited for like 30-40 minutes. It kept saying coming soon. Then I read somewhere where it would be available at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard time. So I set an alarm for 12:30. When I got there at 12:30 it said sold out. WTH NOW THEY'RE MARKED UP ON EBAY AT OTHER THIRD PARTY SELLER SITES FOR AS MUCH AS $300.

The scanner lights are easy to do.

I mean come on i can buy Hot Wheels for 1€ here, the small battery and PCB wont cost much too. This thing might be 5$ production costs at all.

They both look great truly. KITT I might pass because I got one from JADA and a 1/32 its in scale with my Transformers. I just don't needed as much as someone who's a bigger Hot Wheels fan.

I placed the KITT on my shopping cart approx 10 seconds after it began selling. Made me wait 9 minutes in the checkout line and eventually told me it was SOLD OUT 😕

Push the car down the light bar should activate lightbar same as the nice big 1.18 kitt I have in hot wheels! Only one's worth collecting to me least they have something nostalgia ways that just like a basic Nova or skyline

I wouldn't pay a dime for it. 😂. At this scale I thought 35 was overpriced. I was super disappointed when I learned Hot Wheels was sticking with miniature 1: 64 scale. I'll have to keep looking for 1: 18 scale KITT to go along with my Christine and Delorean.
