Yeah, Kinda looks like they're trying to out do Hasbro greed pricing and they sure did 🤣I'd say no more then 30$ to 40$ this should've been priced at, it may be diecast but it's made in China unlike Vietnam like Hasbro made Transformers, I couldn't buy this figure knowing I could get a leader class for this price and not this core class size
Been dreaming of this collab since a kid in the mid 80s. To actually transform a freakin Hot wheel and it’s mostly all die cast. Don’t care, busting out the credit card!!
Opening the box all I hear in me head... you got the touch, you got the power! Soundwave and blaster are the tape players. if you go back, watch the movie as soon as you got the touch come on and Optimus starts to transform, just b4 the battle mute the audio from the movie and play pink Floyd's dark side of the moon and it completely lines up!😃
The engeneering to make a toy that small, full metal and to transform into two different toys is really something. Impressive, to say the least. 80 dollars may seem kinda heavy, but I don't blame mattel to charge that. It's a very unique piece.
I really like this figure and I'm not even a G1 fan. Perhaps it's nostalgia. But, the mini hands make it a pass for me, when they could have just had the hands fold out. I'm not expecting Missing Link Optimus Prime articulation here, but the hands are just too small to possibly lose, sadly. Great review!
It was a long time coming and I am all for it. Definitely a collab I’ve been waiting for quite some time as a fan of the franchise. ❤ Although $80 is kinda ridiculous and definitely not worth the purchase.

I have 0% chance of owning this unless through secondary market, but man that is gorgeous looking. I love the fact that it is made easy for opening and displaying in two different forms. I'm pretty sure there will be a Super rigs version for kids and me to be able to acquire in stores.
Even at 50$ it'll be too much, it's basically a core class with a leader class price point, I'd say no more then 30$/40$ over because they have to cover the licensing costs
Not true, most transformers collectors are looking at the Missing Link Optimus for G1 accurate figures. Not only is it the same mold AND on the same scale as the 1984 figure, it also has the original packaging and more articulation for nearly the same price as this collab
It's so strange seeing the difference in the reaction to the price of this thing between Transformers fans and Hot Wheels fans. Transformers fans are absolutely disgusted by the $80 price of this item, but Hot Wheels fans seem perfectly fine with it.
Mostly cause we have core class transformers this size for 12$/15$ and 12 to 14 inch leader class figures for around 80$, plus missing link Optimus prime figure which is design off of this 80's design for the same price for a much bigger figure, which is my long winded way of saying hot wheels fans are used to paying prices like this for a tiny car of plastic/metal that goes vrooooooooooom while TF's fans aren't
@@xenax6242 I don't disagree, I'm a Transformers fan who definitely thinks this thing is way too expensive. It's just so baffling to see so many Hot Wheels fans completely fine with it. I dreamed of this in 1983, the only toys for boys with hot wheels, matchbox, and pocket cars. When I saw my first transformer in 1985, it was a Datsun police car, partly die cast, and my brother was holding it and I thought it was just another large matchbox car until he started twisting it into a robot.. I just about shit my pants, since then I coveted my brother’s birthday present, like, forever. We were lower working class family, hardly any spare money, so we just enjoyed the cartoons and no toys. I often wondered through the years why oh why didn’t hot wheels or matchbox never come up with this idea… never was too fond of the plastic pieces and often thought if hot wheels made one all metal, it would be to die for! Only took 40 years… better late than never I guess

I hope a few in just regular less expensive packaging hits the store shelves.
Opening the box all I hear in me head... you got the touch, you got the power! Soundwave and blaster are the tape players. if you go back, watch the movie as soon as you got the touch come on and Optimus starts to transform, just b4 the battle mute the audio from the movie and play pink Floyd's dark side of the moon and it completely lines up!😃
Everyone here saying yup im not paying $80 yet it sold out in 27 mintes glad i got mines 😁
Wow 🤩 Thanks for sharing this find! I won't say that I'm a big Transformers fan. But this is definitely a great collaboration!
fantastic.. Greetings from Brazil!
The engeneering to make a toy that small, full metal and to transform into two different toys is really something. Impressive, to say the least. 80 dollars may seem kinda heavy, but I don't blame mattel to charge that. It's a very unique piece.
Yea but I think they should have done something for the back part of the alt mode bc it looks so bad. Still great figure tho
@@johnycraft7665 they could have also thrown in his trailer for that price .
25 years and just now I noticed the “ot” in Hot is a moving wheel!
It's pretty cool, almost the exact replica. That's what a transformers toy should be.
A matching trailer is a must have
The cassette player was Soundwave.
And this baby is based 100% off the vintage toy!
It was a long time coming and I am all for it. Definitely a collab I’ve been waiting for quite some time as a fan of the franchise. ❤
Although $80 is kinda ridiculous and definitely not worth the purchase.
Then you've got more money than sense, boy
Luar biasa, sangat ingin & minat sekali sy memiliki HW Transformer Optimus Prime itu😍😍 Semoga ada seri lain selain Optimus Prime seperti misalnya BumbleBee 😍😍
Terima kasih sudah me’review nya 🙏🏻
I have 0% chance of owning this unless through secondary market, but man that is gorgeous looking. I love the fact that it is made easy for opening and displaying in two different forms. I'm pretty sure there will be a Super rigs version for kids and me to be able to acquire in stores.
For 80$. Should atleast come with a trailer lol.
Nice, wonder if he will be available outside the US.
Awesome model with a really cool feature but $80… 😧
I’m not convinced…
I’d spend $50. At $80 this is a no go for me. 😮
Even at 50$ it'll be too much, it's basically a core class with a leader class price point, I'd say no more then 30$/40$ over because they have to cover the licensing costs
now they are selling for 200+ $ im tired of this reselling and low production era
Yeah its awesome. And now that i see the way it can be dual-displayed, i want 2
tHIS IS 100% THE SAME AS THE G1 optimus, the original also had DIe cast pieces, so THIS is the one everyone wants to get!
Like, I understand being used to paying too much for 'collectibles,' but this seems like *anyone* would think it's beyond extreme.
I like the window idea.
From being born in the 80's that prime is based off the old toy line of prime.
You guys know there's no way we get this in this life with the legit price tag...
Like all the youtubers will get it, but.. not normal people (us)
Optimus Prime in his prime! very cool
this is truly extraordinary. lol. Really dope. Wow. I like this. Price is a bit high, but it is a beaut.
4:00 starts!
