I prefer the Insingo in the small and the standard blade in the large, though the Insingo large is also amazing. The drop point doesn't give me enough straight edge in the small for my preferences. The glass blast is only being applied to inlaid models that can't be given a full spa treatment, so the PJ and the Micarta inlay models don't come with glass blast but you can send them in to have it done by request for the same cost as a spa treatment.
I now own a drop point Sebenza 31, harpoon Umnumzaan, and Insingo Inkosi, all PJ, all in MagnaCut. I can't believe how good these knives are. I don't know which I like best.
I have this but glass blasted with silver hardware. Love the insingo blade shape. I have a matching small sprint run with S35VN. Love Magnacut and every new CRK I buy I want it in Magnacut but I still love S35/45. for my everyday use, I will never see any huge difference between the different blade materials. Got my large insingo Seb direct from CRK too. wait wasn't too bad. Maybe took about a year to year and half, if I'm remembering correctly. Think I ordered it the first day the order was open for these in Magnacut. Congrats man.

I went PJ for my small 31 insingo. I want a storied piece, one that tells a tale in the years to come. I have a small inkosi with inlays as well as a large with inlays - they’re great - but I only got them because I thought I was missing out on something. I wasn’t. Went full circle to when I got my PJ 21 all those years ago, they’re just cleaner. All the best with your decision! :)
Absolutely gorgeous with the gold. How did you get it direct from CRK in less than a year? Back in 2008 I special ordered a large Regular Sebenza (as it was being discontinued) with gold hardware, double thumb lugs, and polished blade. Would love to have that one back! Managed to snag a plain large Insingo 31 Magnacut and I’m stoked as I’ve been waiting for years. Not like I had been regularly checking dealers or getting on a notification list like I should have. I just happened to look at the right place at the right time. If I decide to order one again it will be like yours but with polished blade and glass blasted scales.
That sounds like a beautiful config! Yeah at the time I ordered it, they may not have had as many in the queue as now. I heard it’s over a year wait now (more like several years) to get one ordered direct. But it’s worth the wait!
@@these7seas yeah they rapidly went from 1-2 years to 4 years and now 6 years! Probably conservative estimates though and I imagine you would receive most orders sooner.
Yeah. I mean it doesn’t hurt to just put in your order and just forget about it. They don’t require any down payment and once your order comes up, they’ll reach out to you to see if you still want it and if you do at that point, you can pay. If not, then there’s no penalty fee or anything like that.

Recently got a insingo Sebenza plain in OD Green CERAKOTE . Absolutely love it.
Just grabbed the same blade with blue hardware at Bladeshow. Super excited to have this one for years to come. Nice vid!

Thanks! Yeah honestly in real world use I don’t notice a big difference between these higher end tier steels. They all cut well.

I think all the inlay knives are glass blasted the plain is sand blasted, glass blasting optional. Congrats. Enjoyed this video.
