New Mindustry video! 🤩 And i didn't even have to ask this time. While it is quite sad that i stopped, you already played it so... Im done. Thank you again, Matt, for new Mindustry parts!

HE IS BACK!!!!
This series has evolved from "Someone forced me to play this" to "You cannot stop me" and I am here for it.
Also 1.99mil subscribers, you reading this, subscribe :)
Someone needs to commit to posting "Day x of telling RCE to stop playing Mindustry" so he can then title his next video "you cannot stop me from playing this game!"
Make a script!
well, he stopped
I'll be honest, I want more mindustry.
Agreed, enjoying these. I'd like to see more Serpulo though, the later maps get really epic especially as you try to defend multiple territories, losing and retaking them. This is making me want to start a new game up.
At the very least I'd like to see getting up to thorium reactors, that's when the real fun starts.
@@danielmantell3084 nuclear power go brrrrrr up until the point where a flare sneaks into your energy production area and destroys 1 singular pipe of cryofluid and destroys everything single-handedly
then you wonder why no power's getting made
Fun fact about pentagons you can’t make a sphere out of them however you can make a doughnut
Useless fact, but interesting and good to know
Wdym you can't make a sphere?
Is a dodecahedron not good enough for you?
Mmmmm... donut... 🤤
Uhm achually it’s called “torus,” not donut 🤓
Cut out the inside for a circle, smh 😬
Fun fact; that combination of pentagons and hexagons is the same arrangement of the panels on footballs.
I was going to state the same, except use the term “soccer”. It is strange why we call our game with pigskin, football when mostly we use our hands. Not even round like a ball, I guess hand egg does not have the same ring to it.
did u know that something happened to the pentagon in september 2001
@@tinafeng6557freedom happened
When you tile a sphere with hexagons you need 12 pentagons to make the math work out. So regardless of how many best-a-gons you have, you still need 12 pentagons to fully tile a sphere
Respectfully shut up
Interestingly, Erekir is the planet that is actually much more akin to actual real time strategy, compared to Serpulo. Not only are the units generally more accessible than on the other one, there is much more focus on them as the main force. The planets are VASTLY different, and I really like the more serious and strategic Erekir, while also loving Serpulo for everything it has always been before Erekir even existed.
I never liked Erekir as much, it's a lot more tightly designed so there's generally a 'correct' solution. Serpulo is a lot ore loose so you can play with your more preferred strategies. I like making long ranged static defenses and laying waste with artillery.
to be fair:
serpulo was just a tower defense focus
specially since before erekir the unit control was more wanky
you used commando blocks to command basic things like: do nothing, patroul and attack
you could control a unit (still can do it I think) and surround it with like 8 other units (size depends on the unit you control and you only can control same or lower tiers)
and there you had some free movement and choose where they go
with erekir, he redo the unit system and now you can like group and command them precisly
and the dev said, he wanted to make each planet a bit unic, as erekir goes more into the rts way, even so he has less variety of units, but they keep the theme up
aka: the tank stays a tank at high lvl
a interesting thing about erekir is: usual you need all unit types that it offers to finish maps
don't want to spoil the amount or so, but: each unit type have a unic feature for movement or so where other units can't move
I think the 3rd map introduces you to the next one
I don't like Mars ( Erekir ) that much because its always attack and never tower defense
Some advice from an Erekir pvp player here, Shift+H will allow you to set factory rally points and Shift+G will allow you to quickly select all units, you can use rally points to make sure all your units are heading to an area after being made which can be very helpful as otherwise you have units sitting down and doing nothing (probably studying to become architects), also, units make a great defense and make sure you pay attention to ratios and power consumption of structures, there is a question mark icon when you select a structure, for example a silicon ark furnace uses 360 power while each turbine only makes 180, so be careful with how many silicon arks you place. Also, V to respawn at your core.
shit+H????? ayo
@@user-jp6bi1vm1i Thanks for picking up on that, did not notice at all.
Ayyy drexium! Hows it goin?
@@googlygoo4575 Good my guy, how are ya?
Hey I have an erekir question? Why do you need more silicon on earlier sectors than later ones like I just played seige and I didn't really need silicon that much so I only had like 1 furnace but in the earlier nones I needed a crap ton. Why is that?
I love watching RCE playing Mindustry. I hope you continue playing this like you play Timberborn and Poly Bridge making season after season.
I highly doubt we'll see another episode. Everyone pressure Matt into playing mindustry everyday on discord instead xD
Well if box king won't ask, I will! More Mindustry please!
RCE being REAL and CIVIL, gonna do some ENGINEERING
Football planet
Day 47 of asking Matt to Play obenseuer
Tip to make the turrets fire faster, you can take the water from the turbine condensers with the conduits and it makes them fire faster if you put the water in your turrets
Makes perfectly good sense; a water cooled weapon system can operate at a higher rate of fire because it doesn't overheat as easily.
Seeing Matt post a new Mindustry video without peer pressure is amazing. The more I see of this game, the better it gets.
Edit: But I couldn't see much at the end of this episode. Hopefully there is a sequel.
Some tips because I can xd
1- Towers fire quite faster with water
2- The vent condenser produce around 30 units of water, while the turbines just 5
3- The impact drill consume 14 unit of water I remember
4- The bean you shoot with the main ship can heal your buildings
5- Remember, you can use the units you fabricate and the turrets (Don't remember which key is needed). This can be interesting as all of them have a bit more range (2 squares mores I think) that its showed, but won´t shoot automatically that far, but you can, that's an advantage
looking forward the next episode. :)
PD. when I played mindustry (around a year ago) Erekir started to escalate quickly after the fourth map or close to it
The *BEAN*
I'm enjoying this series. Ive had mindustry for a long time and I hadnt played it in just as long until I watched these videos.
I have Mindustry, and your videos have got me playing it again. Hope to see more parts of your journey. And good luck with your addiction
Please keep playing Mindustry!
Everybody loves it!
It's a cool little game. I'm glad you started playing. Cause I like watching it. Oh and here's some PEER PRESSURE!!
day one of forcing matt at water gun point 🔫 to play more mindustry
Wow

After watching your videos, I actually got this game and now im hooked on it haha. Thanks for that I guess. Glad do see another video on it though.
Wow!! An all your base reference in 2024! That just makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside!
Remember, pigs root in the ground for truffles, industrial engineers route resources.
Oh I'm sure Paddy didn't have anything to do with you making another Mindustry video.
Whelp. Time to reset the counter!
_Day 1 of continuing to peer pressure Paddy into making Matt play Mindustry more._
_It’s worked twice, the second time even it worked without any help from The_Box_King. I believe in you Paddy, you can truly make Matt do anything if you put your mind to it._
I need more mindustry!!! You legally have to keep going! XD
On Erekir, your command unit cannot attack by itself, but it also cannot be directly attacked and can travel anywhere. It has no innate vision, but you can build if the area has been seen before, meaning scouting out areas will greatly expand your options. The beam is for early mining and repairing structures using your core's resources. You can also pick up structures that are 2x2 or smaller, allowing you to relocate them to save resources and energy.
Your command unit can inhabit a combat unit to gain that units abilities and vision, but it also becomes limited by that units mobility and won't be able to build until you manually leave the unit, so you generally don't want to do that. I don't know the buttons for it, since I play on mobile.
Structures are also more difficult to make compact and efficient blueprints for. There is a much stronger emphasis on adapting to your environment, and not overexerting your power supply.
Some structures have optional enhancements, such as the Breach turret using water to improve the fire rate. These enhancements are usually pretty significant.
I would avoid Vent Condensers until after you find another power source, since they directly compete with your only power source right now, Turbine Condensers. While the amount of water Turbine Condensers make is low, it's generally just enough to get by in the early game, and the power is far more important.
I'll do my part to add to the peer pressure! I know you've gotten a crazy number of tips, so I'll highlight just one, which is possibly the most important:
Go to Settings > Display and enable "Show Block Status"
Erekir is actually more difficult because you can't get nearly as overpowered as you can on Serpulo. For example I'm pretty close to finishing the Serpulo campaign without having built even a single turret. It's very possible if you A) understand how enemies target your base (which you partially figured out on your own last episode with the combustion generators!), B) know how to unlock certain things in the tech tree (funny enough, you actually stumbled upon the optimal path by capturing sector 175 right after Ground Zero), and C) use custom core schematics (which almost nobody accidentally figures out).
Also, maybe it's because I'm a different type of engineer, but I really enjoy the logic system on Serpulo. You can do a lot of fun things with it! Anuke actually considered removing it entirely when he added the RTS controls, but thankfully those of us who love it were there to talk him out of it. :)
I stumbled upon this video completely by coincidence and this game looks like just my thing. Now imma dive in a week long marathon of this. Thank you kind sir for the recommendation. It's just like the time I stumbled upon DRG
I actually really enjoy watching you play this game, it looks really fun!
I’m loving this series
please complete the game. it's really fun to watch
Love this game
Peer pressure go. Can't wait until you get to the really high end stuff, the battles get crazy.
"All your base are belong to us".. rounding 18 years this year :D
I really enjoy this series. Idk. It is so simple, and amusing to watch.
Hey matt so happy i found you a while back now and love the amazing content also creddit to the edditor in youre vids i just wantes to say i would really like if you did make a few more vids on mindustry i used to see that comment inbthe section all the time and now i want more lol if not i do understand with a busy schedule and all but if you could sneak one or 2 in a month id appreciate it thank you for being an amazing person matt!
Loving this editors pop ups and comments today! give this editor a cookie
How many more stupid puns about safety first do I need to do to see an engineer fix high voltage with magical yellow repair liquid..?
Matt, it isn't that bad as long as you dont see schematics in real life. That's how it was for me hallucinating about mindustry.😂
No Way!!! I'm quite happy that you played mindustry, I wasn't quite expecting that
Never stop!!! I want to see this game optimized to the fullest, and you're a prime candidate for that!!
I can't ask for it daily! But I can come back and keep asking! Like an itch in a certain region that never goes away.
thx matt for continuing the series
i recommend you to try to stay on the named sectors so you can get the technologies as well as the stories
love this series
Hey RCE! Please carry on playing this I've loved watching it and can't wait to see more!
Matt, this is a game to keep. I rolled my eyes at the persistent asking you to play but now glad it was done.
Keep em coming, Matt! Love me some Mindustry!
17:24 “Does water travel along ducts?”
Are you quacked?
More please - love this game
Matt Parker at StandUpMaths did a video on different ways of making a sphere with 2D shapes, and the pentagons joined by hexagons style is a classic football
I think that's a truncated icosahedron, a 32 sides shape made of pentagons and hexagons. it's the shape of a football
That's a great episode Mat, I'm start asking you for another hopefull great like this one
I'm loving the mindustry content! Kind of a shame this is the last one. If nobody is mithering you to play more mindustry I'm going to have to start!
Perfect ! He was turned into one of us !
Our emissary has succeeded
I want more of this series, please Matt *patpat on the hardhat* :3
MAKE MORE GODDAMN MINDUSTRY VIDEOS!!!
You can select a factory in command mode to send what ever tank or unit its making in a specific place you can even control turrets or units
I'm going to have to single handedly peer pressure you into continuing this. You've only scratched the surface of what erekir has to offer
Day 1
The conveyor belts remind me of working in a recycling plant.
Whoever that dude was, they were correct. Keep playing this, love it.
Keep it up I love Mindistry!
Really looking forward to seeing how RCE manages to complete the later sectors like siege and hopefully origin.
im watching this with a mice asleep on my hand and this started a hour ago will be fun to watch this
It's fun to play too
Oh, waiting to feed a snake? Used to have a red-tailed Colombian boa a long time ago.
@@tarrantwolf nope the mice just likes company and appears to sleep better with someone there
Its not legal where i live to feed live or feed animals you have put down yourself
Plus im not allowed to own any reptiles so
1:04 MATT, IT"S A SOCCERBALL
This is actually a really cool looking game I'll have to watch the first one
“We've got tungstene balls!”
Hah
I love your All Your Base reference
PART 5 PLEASE!!!! Mindustry for ages!!!!!!
Love it but I like everything you do content wise. Keep it up!
i love mindustry
Oh, pro-tip! If you find a Derelict, first make sure you can build the same thing (researched and enough resources), then quickly right-click and left-click (deconstruct+reconstruct with little to no resources used).
How did an engineer not know what a dyson sphere is
When I first started Erekir campaign the first 3-4 maps was easy but later on this is getting harder and harder. In the last map I spend 50+ hours to finish
this is how to fix your demise: click the thing near the top left. you know. the one with 2 red lines. it kills your drone and it resets you back to your base.
If you ever looked at a soccer ( foot--)-ball, you notice that they have to have pentagons every now and then to form a ball properly. Just hexagons would only make a flat surface, with the pentagons enable it to make a ball.
Keep playing it. It amuses me.
it's basically a football. not one of those avocados, but "FOOT"&"BALL"
The Timberborners forgive you, but they will never forget you. Time to lead the district again.
That’s just the start RCE, you then gotta beat the main campaign on both planets, unlock everything, download mods, *and do that again*
Finally mindustry
Yay, Matt playing Mindustry !
You can heal your buildings with the laser.
You also can pause the game with spacebar. Might be useful when there's not a lot of time.
More Mindustry please
as someone once said.
Because if i have to suffer this addiction, so will you
i for 1 would like you to keep playing this Matt. maybe you conquer bases i havent and i can learn a thing or 2 from a top of the line engineer
There's definitely a Stand Up Maths video about pentagons in spheres. He's complaining about the football signs on British road signs.
Mat: pentagon's are not the best
*The CIA would like to know your location*
It had been 3 months.
Router is not pleased.
The new unit that you control can not attack, but it can repair buildings and units.
Yes! That's how balls are made
With bestagons and pentagons
very funny game. love to see more.
As someone who attempted to generate random worlds for D&D using a tedious dice algorithm, in any size sphere structure built out of hexagons, you require exactly 12 pentagons. Ironically for my D&D usage, it essentially makes a blown out D20 structure, which also has 12 vertices. You are essentially laying out 20 equilateral triangles into a grid of hexagons, but you can only connect 5 of them at a point, thus the pentagons.
wow matt! SO SO SO close to 2 million subscribers!!! you can do it! MAYBE TOMORROW??
A MONTH, WE NEED MORE
Dat 1 of asking matt to continue this series
0:45 - It isn’t even physically possible to make a sphere out of hexagons
I love it when you unengland yourself
1:03 sounds like something an architect would say
Wait until he finds out how to make the Toxopoid ☠️
wait till he needs more silicon
that would be awesome
The fact that he doesn't pause while he builds makes me crazy
The factory must grow,
ANOTHER
I love this game aswell
