God’s voice is extremely personal and different for each and every person. The reason why you can’t hear God’s voice is because you’re comparing how God is speaking and working in someone else’s life with yours. There is no ONE answer to be able to hear God’s voice. The way he speaks to me may be completely different from yours BECAUSE it’s personal and BECAUSE it’s going to provide me the most clarity and discerning and understanding whether it’s his voice or my own thoughts. And it’s your job to discover the same. That’s why it’s important to pray AND read the Bible... to be able to close the gap between understanding the general principles of God's character and his works with your personal life and how works and speaks to YOU.
