Trust in God, I know vague but its true, To let the flesh die we must sacrifice our wordly ways, Meaning like wordly things, so say you are addicted to porn, which is wordly the dieing in flesh with that would be resisting the urgues and Choosing to follow him, Christ Jesus, There are many more examples of letting your flesh die but a rule of thumb is your flesh is your desires not desires of God, But wordly ones, Like gaming, lust, and other sin, and letting them starve meaning starving the flesh and feed your spirit letting it grow by reading the word and worshipping him, which is by overcoming the flesh and doing what he wants, whenever those desires come ask yourself this, If I do this will God be happy with me?
One thing that I would say is a great way to surrender your life to God is by going to him first in every situation. Financial, relational, mental, physical, everything, always go to God first for information, for insight, for help. That has helped me in my life and I recommend people do the same.
I would like to hear exactly what that looks like. for example i know i need to go on a diet so i prayed before i went to the grocery store, lord let your will be done. Like how are people consulting God first in all things and how is he answering you in the particular situation.
@@chasidysimmons8133 Me too 👍 But maybe I can contribute one thing: James 1:5-6 Here it says that we can ask God for WISDOM to make good decisions, so maybe when we want to put Him first and get His will done f.e. when we do a diet, we can pray for wisdom and then try our best (without turning into perfectionists?)? What do you think?
i'm starting more and more to be more serious about my faith and relationship with God and it is so hard. compared to what i'm used to, instant gratification, constant entertainment & stimulation, laziness, etc. etc., it's rough, but i got this at the best time possible. thank you. you're awesome. hey guys :) my journey has been going well since i've posted that comment. i appreciate you guys checking in. i've been getting rid of some old habits and trying to leave old mindsets. it was a struggle but because of God i've gone a while without caving in again. it gets easier with each passing day. God really changes people. i'm just seeking Him out first above all else and as my relationship with Him grows stronger i simply feel less inclined go sin. i feel more patient and more motivated since then. i do get burnt out sometimes, but i'm working on discipline too. it's definitely hard but life is hard no matter what. i just gotta choose the right hard yk? i hope you guys are doing great :)

I'm really glad that you've decided to take that step and that the journey is going well for you. I think a really great verse to remember when things get hard is Psalm 31. I found your content while seeking some peace , cuz I lost it temporarily. I love your content! I used to struggle with club going addiction, however I surpassed that 1 year ago. I bought an apartment and focused on learning Japanese and reading and being peaceful. Sometimes I struggle with loneliness and depression, but not every day. Because I've been on my own for years, I found God and he gave me peace . Now I don't feel alone anymore, I just feel lonely sometimes ( although I still have many friends, I just don't go out a lot )

Peter was able to walk on the water in the middle of a storm as long as he focused on Jesus. As soon as he looked at the waves and the wind he sunk. But Jesus still saved him when he called out. Stay focused and run with endurance for the race set before you.
Putting God first can so many times lead to hurt and suffering emotionally, from speaking his truth, and that's okay, the Lord talks about long suffering it's a very important process it's the only way we can understand is unmeasurable mercy and Grace, although that hurt and suffering can be so overwhelming, the holy Spirit who Jesus has sent to us in these days to restore the church, and we are the church as the holy Spirit lives within us and draws us together with other believers to bring glory to our heavenly Father through praise and fellowship, although there is suffering and uncertainty that come with putting God first, it is absolutely worth every tear or heartache that comes from it, the relief, love enjoy that he brings is better than we can possibly imagine or explain to somebody. Peace in the middle of the storm, thank you Jesus for making a way to our heavenly Father and sending your holy Spirit here Amen
you know, for the past couple months, my life started to really change and i started experiencing life trials, worried about my future and overthinking everything, waking up and crying wanting everything to end. That was until recently when one of my friend checked up on me and she asked me how everything was, how life felt, and I started to realise that I felt comfortable in an uncomfortable situation I told her how i was doubting myself, not God but myself.. i started to worry about the fact how im calm and comfortable in my own trial i started worrying about the fact i might just be idolising and living for the future when 'things get better' i felt like i was running away from my present Thank you for your video, this just tells me that my relationship with God is improving and eveyrthing is going to God's plan Praise and Glory to the saviour Jesus Christ, Glory to the Lord, The most highest Almighty Heavenly Father ❤❤❤

How can i put God first on my relationships? when u say keep God first you end up using God as an excuse to chase what your chasing,not saying that what your chasing is bad. Instead say-or ask rather- How can i glorify God through this pursuit? Great video,! I would like to add if we really believe God is real and he speaks we would rely more on his opinion and revelation from him verse others like teachers and pastors. God said in his word, " my sheep know my voice and they only follow me". This requires intentional dedication to actually know his voice. This goes back to your video learning how to sit with God and do nothing. When Jesus called those disciples to follow him they recognized his voice. If that was me it would be a bit hard and I would need several confirmations. I do have the desire to solely follow Christ as I work on this daily. As a human I tend to learn from other humans but God is the only teacher. Waiting on his answer and instructions requires the fruit of patience.
Dude… it wasn’t an ordinary day for Andrew and Simon (Peter) …. Simon was on the water all night fishing on Shabbat to repay a debt to the Romans. He didn’t catch 1 fish. Jesus came the next morning… told them to cast the net and he save them and they got to pay off their debt.

What's your thoughts on this? - in my case I'm worried that I won't get to enjoy some of the hobbies I have right now. How do I let go of this. I also have a view putting God first means that whenever I have free time I should spend it reading God's word. Though I feel I couldn't spend hours and hours doing that since I would just get exhausted.

Im been frustrated at my job. Like i failed in life. I messed up. Im not where suppose to be. But a coworker i never spoke too before came to me ask if i go to church. I said no but i believe in Christ. It turned into a chance to share with him about Jesus. Never in million years did i think i could share God and Jesus with a coworker ive never talked too. It scared me. Im very little in the Bible and in my faith. I feel God saying im on a path he wants me to be. My frustration went away. My anger melted away.
I definitely needed this! I have been feeling a call to go into ministry but am unsure if I should finish graduate school first or start looking at jobs in full time ministry. It feels like no matter what I do am do I am making a wrong choice. What you said about God calling you to something but it may not be the right season currently really spoke to me. It makes me think that even though I am being called to ministry that season of ministry may not start right away. I also want to work on constantly surrendering to God because it is truly a constant thing you must do. Great video!

I definitely needed this! I have been feeling a call to go into ministry but am unsure if I should finish graduate school first or start looking at jobs in full time ministry. It feels like no matter what I do am do I am making a wrong choice. What you said about God calling you to something but it may not be the right season currently really spoke to me. It makes me think that even though I am being called to ministry that season of ministry may not start right away. I also want to work on constantly surrendering to God because it is truly a constant thing you must do. Great video!
