You went from skateboarding to philosophy to self-improvement to being a christian. Orlando I've been following you for years and the fact that your kinda blowing up on TH-cam is great. You deserve it. Your videos always had the sense that you were just trying to figure out life and showing the progress. You have truly become a digital philosopher. You are a reminder that life is worth living🙏
Wow I didn’t know anybody kept up with me from that long ago. Your comment means a lot to me and I’m really thankful for your words.
So good paying attention to his life ❤
Beautiful words
@@Orlando-Kangdo you still skateboard? 😀
@@Orlando-Kang Keep going man you already changed lives for the better and you will change many more

Ecclesiastes may seem like the most depressing book in the Bible to most. But to me it’s the most SOBERING book in the Bible. It keeps me from being obsessed with the world and the things it offers, and to rather desire the things that will never pass away; God and His words.
Amen. I couldn't explain that any better. It brings to light how empty and meaningless life can be when we do NOT focus on God. It's sobering and a great reminder to Love Not The World.
It is not depressing at all if you read the latest commentary on Ecclesiastes by Brian Borgman, Don’t Waste Your Breath, strongly recommended by Paul Washer.
This video made me realize how beautiful some of the books in the Bible are. Sometimes I just read and never really take in what is said. Thank you for this I now realize how powerful Ecclesiasties actually is.
I’m so glad to hear that. Ecclesiastes is really really powerful like you said
amen
Read Tobit. It is uplifting
I agree Ecclesiastes saved my life, and was the stepping stone to my salvation in 2020. Glory to God for his loving mercy on me, a sinner. 🙏🏽
Christ is Risen!
Amen 🙏 ❤
He has risen indeed
Amen!

Ecclesiastes is my FAVORITE book of the Bible!
100% me too
Bro, once you've read Ecclesiastes, you gotta go back and reread Psalm
I PROMISE YOU IT GONNA HIT EVEN HARDER ❤🔥💯🙌
ME TOO , his saying that the most hopeless book gave him hope was exactly how I felt when I read this book on my journey back to God again
Same Here!!
Just read it for the first time- powerful book
Totally agree. This book is underrated! Reading it helps me to avoid traps in my thinking. Yeah, this world is screwed up and ultimately we just live, die and are forgotten about. It does sound nihilistic at first, and without the eternal life we have been given in Christ it could be depressing. But to me, understanding this message frees me to just try to love God and enjoy the simple things in life, because really, that’s what we have to enjoy!
Ecclesiastes always made me think how much people need to be told about Jesus. I’ll keep these things you said in mind next time I end up there.
Life is based on time and chance but with God you stand a better chance.
I love Ecclesiastes! He sounds pessimistic but he gives good wisdom! What I recieved my second time is that:
Live well! Eat well! We will die anyway, so enjoys the day that God gives us.
And Fear God & keeps his commandment for this is the whole duty of man. Amen 🙏🏾
And you described it so well!! Thank you!! God bless you!!
Let's live a life knowing that Jesus overcame death at the cross
Ive been studying the bible for 25 years and this touched my heart.
Orlando, I have much appreciation for your honest videos. At 60 years old, you are reminding me of things I learned long ago but have lost in the chaos of life. Blessings to you.
Ecclesiastes is also my favorite book of the Bible. It sounds so depressing but actually gives me so much hope
It's so freeing and liberating...Perfect book for a materialistic society like we live in today
When you mentioned how God knew we would feel this way and put Ecclesiastes in the Bible for that reason, I never thought about it that way
I think sometimes the most powerful thing is to be told the very thing that our soul already knows but can’t put into words or can’t explain.
We are often told that life is good, enjoy it. But yet there are many things that happen in life that are incredibly disappointing, evil, unjust, and tragic. But if we are told that life is good without being able to acknowledge that there is a whole lot of bad, it can drive us crazy.
Ecclesiastes gives it to us straight, no chaser. No qualification. Life is hard and then you die. But God gives us things to enjoy while we are here but in the end, those things are meaningless. In the end, God’s commandments are the only meaningful thing.
Our hope is in the kingdom to come where all things are restored and justice goes forth and righteousness fills the earth. For now, we labor and toil. Just being able to hear that message and acknowledge how undesirable this world is can be incredibly helpful.
Beautifully said
By far, Ecclesiastes has always been my favorite book of the bible. It's a paradox; it knows it contradicts itself and at first glance, one would wonder why something so pessimistic is in the bible.
But like one of its main themes, nothing matters. We all die, one way or another. We grow old.
Sitting in a bus earlier today, thinking over all the problems I'm facing, and then I see an elderly woman on the bus. It hit me that whatever problems she faced when she was my age, 22, probably don't affect her as much now that her hair's all white and her skin's wrinkled. While I don't know her, and I'm not judging her, her presence reminded me that we often get so stuck in our minds, our hearts, our circumstances, that in reality, it doesn't matter.
So why is it in the bible? Because while it does say nothing matters, nothing is ever new, anything new becomes old, Ecclesiastes chooses to hope.
In the face of reality, of the facts, Ecclesiastes chose God. Who goes beyond anything and everything.
I am so shocked cuz I was literally so angry at God and was argueing with him abt his fairness then this came. This is my sign to read Ecclesiastic. Be blessed❤
Fear God and keep His commandments! ❤

I love how God breaks it all down to a simplistic solution
I did a Bible study on Ecclesiastes when I was laid off from my job. It was perfect timing. It changed my life for the better.
Thank you man for this. It reminds me of Jeff Allen's testimony - he was an atheist who converted to Christianity from listening to teachings on Ecclesiastes.
Wow!!
In Bible college we were given assignment on Ecclesiastes. We labour a week on this book but also could not come up with the clarity which person in video did. It really made much sense now than.
Beautiful!!!! I've just discovered the beauty and truth and saving grace found in the Bible and have yet to read Ecclesiastes, thank you for this introduction to it!!!!
One thing that helped me in reading the book of Ecclesiastes is understanding that everything is meaningless does not mean that everything is pointless. There’s a huge difference between the two which can help clear up what the teacher is saying. Amen ❤️
The Father gave me a revelation of peace and calling back to relationship with your message. Grace and peace to you bro
Such a powerful voice!
I love Ecclesiastes. Read this book then read JOB. they parallel each other a lot. Both coming to the same conclusions. We are only men and we cannot know the mind of GOD so just trust him. Do your best to follow his commandments and just have faith that HE will take care of you. The faith of a child
Ignorance is Bliss I guess
Read Proverbs first then Ecclesiastes. Proverbs teaches you wisdom then Ecclesiastes tells you wisdom is meaningless 😂 but this was a great video. I will definitely read JOB afterwards.
@@rechargeyoursoul5257 Ecclesiastes teaches us that WISDOM, like all things, without GOD is meaningless. That's the message of the whole book. We cannot be wise enough or rich enough or generous enough or good enough on our own. We will always be lacking without GOD.
Honestly, this video just randomly showed up in my feed and I have to say thank you for making this video and pointing all this out, especially talking about the anger you feel at injustice, because it's *exactly* how I feel and it's becoming unbearable. I will definitely look into Ecclesiastes more deeply after this video. Seriously, thank you.
I had the same journey. Street dude -> Philosophy -> inspiration and self-resiliency -> Christianity. It was Proverbs and Ecclesiastes give me guidance and perspective in many ways. It was journey from age 14-18. We can find it through our lens but through God we can!
One of my absolute favorite books in the Bible...It's so liberating
Life is unfair BUT we're so Lucky to have God to pick us up EVERY TIME 🙏🏼
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other.
Ecclesiastes 7:14 NIV
Seek Him..
Amen
I came across a few of your videos lately and love your humility and love for Christ. I'm a Catholic and I am subscribing to you. Thank you brother.
Ecclesiastes is an incredible book. Truly the guide to help enter the fear of the Lord if you want to live this life. Ecc 12:13
Wow! I was reading Ecclesiastes last week and I was so blessed with those words and now this video appeared to me and it’s amazing. Thank you for this reminder that we can trust God because even when life doesn’t feel right, He is always right. God bless you🙏🏻
I read Ecclesiastes in a period of my life were I was with a lot of questions about everything. I remember that pessimism was with me in every thought and question. It was a lot about life, God, me, my family, my future. And when I read it, it was the Lord telling me in my ear: It's okay to have questions. I believe that times of reflection must be lived with God to obtain fruit from them. If someone is struggling with time remember this: That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away (Chapter 3 verse 15).
Don't forget that God identifies himself as "I Am Who I Am" so HE IS. (John 17:5, Colossians 1:17, 2 Peter 3:8)
New subscriber here. I'm a Christian but admit I haven't spent much time reading this book of the Bible but I'm going to now. Thank you and thank you for your testimony. Blessings.
How interesting as I’m currently going through the book of Ecclesiastes.
Same!
Me too I was like what no way!! When I saw the title
Video was a bangerrr, keep them coming!!
I picked some cherries today. 🍒. God is Good 👍
Thank you, little brother. Your words were well worth sharing with others. God bless you.
Great video! Keep uploading and sharing your wisdom.
This is exactly what I felt three weeks ago, the senselessness of it all. I’m at a crossroads in my life where I have to choose a new course for my life because the one I was previously on did not only fail, but failed spectacularly. It was the path I took because I believed it was the one that would be the most virtuous where I could serve people but also exhaust all that I have for good but it ended up horribly and I feel like a worse person than before. Now I don’t know what to do with my life, I see left and right people getting what they want without asking, without trying. People who have been selfish, people who have no care in the world, people who are too good to try, people who hate other for no good reason, people who live for intrigue at the cost of others who don’t understand their games. And I feel like the fool who can never win. My high ideals, my hopes and values feel like a sham to be laughed at and ridiculed by those who don’t know any better and those who play stupid power plays. I listened to a video about meaninglessness of life and it talked about Ecclesiastes, when I read it, it was like the spirit breathe into me because for the first time it was true, what was said to me was not some generic motivational word salad or detached call to hold onto hope, it was just real life spoken through words from ancient times. It wasn’t gaslighting me into being okay with today and what’s to come. It affirmed what I had always felt but was externally denied in the world. That alone gave me a ton of relief. I got to sleep peacefully that night, early morning I had coffee with my Dad and I told him about that book and we got some peace, just looking around at nature and praising God for making it so beautiful. I did my mundane works with a lit of peace that day.
Thanks for sharing this! Praying for God to continue revealing His love for you and His plans for you! 🙏🏻 He loves you so much!!

You’re incredible, God truly shines in you. Thank you for this word.
Dude same thing happened to me last August/September. I was in a pit of anger and sadness and I started to listen to Ecclesiastes on audio and it had me shook. I listened to it multiple times and it slowly helped me out of the deranged place that I was in.
I enjoy the chill and realness you bring! May the Lord bless your biblical understanding and help you to help others.
I appreciate that, it means a lot
It’s ironic because Ecclesiastes is one my favourite books in the bible and I had the same questions as a believer. This video almost brought me to tears
Man Ecclesiastes is so powerful. One night I had a dream and that book came up in my head. I immediately went to the Bible and read the entire book. A book I never even read from being a “half and half Christian” for so long. It really spoke to me. The very opening alone “meaningless meaningless”.
Great video! 👏🏽
Ecclesiastes serves a reminder of our humanly condition, trying to navigate life through our own understanding but failing to realize its purpose which is to fear God and follow his will. That’s why it tells us everything is meaningless because apart from God all that striving and trying to collect material possessions is a chasing after the wind it’s not possible to grasp forever because all that will stay behind and we will die.
For dust you are and to dust you shall go
Ecclesiastes communicates that the beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord, without him we are nothing & anything besides that is pointless.
I needed this. Thank you.
Thank you for this!❤
Ecclesiastes is also my favorite book of the Bible! it came in clutch with answering my questions on why I exist and was instrumental in my turning to Christ. Nice video btw. New subscriber!

it’s pretty much the same for me. this book in scripture has really had an impact on how I see life in general.
it gave/gives me so much hope as well as understanding of most of life’s troubles too.
this is one of my favourite books out of them all.
Ecclesiastes has always been my favorite. As a teenager I was so touched that there was something in the Bible that I could identify with.
Also one of my favorite books in the Bible, with some of the deepest truths about the human experience and the world. Solid Video!
thank you so much! God bless you
I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts and perspective about the Book of Ecclesiastes. Makes me want to reread it again.

I really like this video!!! Love the way you explain things!
Thanks brother, love Ecc..
❤ from Scandinavia!
Wonderful video!
Loved your thoughts on this book, thank you. I'd like to add some things that can help interpretation:
1. What is translated as "meaningless" is really a word-picture of smoke evaporating. Hebrew: Hevel. So you can swap in something like "vaporous" for meaningless.
2. "under the sun" - the teacher is focussing on life in this realm for the whole book.
SO much good stuff in this book. The last thing that really spoke to me was how the teacher says that our ability to enjoy what we have and our work is also a gift from God. Like vapour, the more we grasp the quicker it vanishes!
Please keep making videos like this. You are opening thousands of eyes and souls
The book for me is very similar to Ecclesiastes and Ecclesiastes is one of my favorite books. The book that really woke me up was the book of Job, I had always wondered on Gods will and timing and Job answered all of that
It changed my life too. It opened my eyes to life
“When I drink orange juice…I don’t think I could enjoy that orange juice as much as I would without reading this book” … haha love this!! It really goes to show the simplest things in life hold some of the most meaning :)
Thanks brother

Ecclesiastes is like tough love. You may feel bad about what it says, but that's the truth. You will feel bad, sad or any other feeling and it's okay.
When i read it first, it was shocking. The second time I read it was humbling. This book is a reminder of what will happen or what happened God still is with you working in your life. Just trust in him and walk in faith.
Great video. ❤❤❤
