Nice review you have done for the Sammy QD OLED S95D. I presently have the S95B from 2022 and I really like my TV.😊
I wonder if Samsung will ever relent and realise that Dolby Vision has clearly won out over HDR10+ as Hollywood’s HDR format of choice and start supporting it. If you’re a cinephile and are in the market for a high end TV would you really buy one that doesn’t support Dolby Vision? Given that Samsung are now the only major TV brand that doesn’t support it, they may end up finding themselves being left behind in the years to come. There may not be a lot of general consumers that don’t care about it, but given that most streaming platforms have their content in Dolby Vision, it kind of sucks if you spend all that money on an S95D and all you can get out of it is vanilla HDR10 as very little content supports HDR10+.
Hdr+/hdr10 has ruined samsung tvs for the last 7/8 years
Would people notice Dolby Vision in practice, or something you could only tell with a side by side test?
@@danas6398 On mid to high end TVs you would definitively notice a difference between standard HDR10 and Dolby Vision and it would be very noticeable in a side by side comparison. Dolby Vision offers more clearer and crisp detail, especially in shadows and dark scenes than standard HDR10 does.
