Beautiful hair queen.💕 We are loc twins (36 locs). 🤞 I'm 1 year and 4 months in amd started with water only. I use very little e.v. o. o. on my scalp. The key to combat dryness is to clarify hair, then follow up with moisturizing shampoo. Your hair will be well hydrated. Thanks for sharing your journey with us
You're locs are nice! Because you ask 🤗As a cosmetologist I always would recommend some oil when needed because locs is tangled hair, and hair is dead . Especially add oil to the ends. Also some people hair doesn't produce enough sebum therefore sometimes oil on the scalp is needed. Also steam in shower. Oil don't cause a buildup. And clarifying shampoo will remove as any buildup if you need it. Good that you already use it when needed!
@@chikiaqueennatural678 thank you ❤️ and thanks for sharing that info! I always leave my hair out in the shower and that’s why I haven’t bought a steamer yet lol I kinda feel like I don’t really need it fr
So nice to see another video about your beautiful locs. My routine is very simple as well (If I'm being honest I didn't do much to my loose natural hair either) lol I use oil and a leave in conditioner on wash days. I wash my hair 2 to 3 times a month, and only oil my scalp on wash days. If my locs need hydration during the week I spray them with a mixture of aloe juice and distilled wateror I just wet them in the shower. I have a steamer, and I use that about once a month, and I do hot oil treatments with peppermint JBCO about once a month as well. I don't feel the need to do a lot to my hair. I don't do styles and I just let my hair be. That works for me.
