    I use these on my desk. I started out with the 4" risers and the desk was uncomfortable high. Changed over to the 2" risers and now it's more natural. Tried without risers and it was too low.

    I’m looking into these raisers for my next desk and I actually was looking at the same top and drawers. So could you explain a bit more on how to secure the top on the raisers? My fear is it failing or something. The Velcro is a great idea too. I assume you’d put a strip on each raiser to secure it better? Also how did you do the pins for the foam? Is it just like putting a thumb tac in the wall?

    Do you just put the countertop directly on the Alex drawers without the spacers? I've seen some people use little things to separate them but you haven't here. I goy my drawers second hand and they have holes drilled for risers but I think 73cm will be enough height for me.

    Hey man, how are you doing, in 3 years maybe you have grown a beard since who knows!! haha Joke aside, I wanted to ask you if you ended up using velcros/adhesive on top of these risers which is something I will do. Lastly, my desk is a kitchen butcher block island, so basically 70in by 42in, good stuff for me as it is where my Lg C2 oled sits. Did you, other than a leg in the middle, start using a strut, the metal beam under that support structures from sagging lets say. I was thinking about doing that too. I have my old gaming desk and it has the metal frame underneath, very tempted in screwing that thing under the countertop ;D As for legs support, do you think its best on the edges, or like 2-3 inches further from it on each sides? Thanks man, good video you are the only one who mentioned the height with a measuring tape which was a question I was always trying to ask myself, haha.

    • @MattieKB
      @MattieKB  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. Just be careful when you set it up, because I banged the edge of mine. I don’t think my 74” karlby ever sagged, but I dont remember. But the 98” will sag very slightly even with a support leg in the middle. But you don’t notice it unless you get on your knees and look down the edge. Plus I was standing on it to mount shelves n stuff.. so maybe yours wont sag! 😆
