No worries . Watched the whole video. You're like the only TH-camr that tells people to try to get the Alex drawers, everyone else is like "you shouldn't get the Alex drawers because everyone else has them so why would you want to own something everyone else has?" Lmao that could be said about iphones etc not just furniture. Their reasoning behind not getting the drawers is so child like and a sad way to think and live if what's keeping them from buying stuff- is because they don't want to own what others own...don't they realize they're not the only ones buying the alternatives they advertise , it's ridiculous and if anything your videos and theirs have cemented the fact that I'd also like to purchase the Alex drawers. You can't beat a well made , well designed product 🤷♀️.
People like them! But they do NOT pull out all the way. Unfortunately that's a deal-breaker for me. But I might try the Helmer th-cam.com/video/jHuPY1RGxqM/w-d-xo.html
Videos like this should either be taken down, or revised because EVERY year the price of Alex drawers go up. As of May 2023, wide Alex drawers are $189.00 - $199.00 and the short ones are $120.00 - $140.00. Note that these prices are for the ones with casters on them. The ones without casters aren’t that cheap neither. There are no Alex drawers that are less than $100.00. But you are 1000% correct that we have no other options for desk drawers. 😵💫
I used to scoff at IKEA, but now I’m obsessed with them. Those Alex drawers are worth driving two and a half hours for. I’m lucky that there is one about 20 minutes away, except I can’t drive so I have to get someone to drive me. Which 3M tape did you use? Was it a double sides tape or did you do the folds over thing to make it stick to both sides?
Hey. Thanks for the videos. Can you tell me what table top you went for? Was it the LAGKAPTEN or LINNMON? I currently have an ALEX + LINNMON but not sure the Arm (dual) would support x2 Lenovo 24" monitors (14.7lbs each). I was also curious what the other small mounted device is that you have on the desk in the video? is it a USB hub or a some kind of audio volume control? Thanks!
It's a clampable outlet that also includes USB outlet. The tabletop in this is the ikea karlby. The interior of linnmon desks are just patterned heavy duty cardboard. I wouldn't trust clamping things on it. Go with something solid.
It took a while for me to be able to get one at my local one that's 2.5 hours away. If you call your local store they can tell you what day they are expecting a new shipment. Given how quick they go, see if you can be there that day.
Low stock on drawers isn't the worst thing that can happen, you can get a pair of cheap legs and drop in the drawers at a later time. You know what's worse, most medication is produced in India, even when it's branded by your local company, and they in turn depend on ingredients from China and elsewhere; and that in spite of the major tension between China and India, which isn't making things easier, so with the whole all that's been happening, you may have a hard time getting basic medication. Even IKEA Industry in Poland may have had to partially shut down due to the virus and slow rollout of the vaccine, or may have had difficulty sourcing the raw materials. Now just as recovery was starting, with the war things are getting weird again, the rail is the main bulk shipping method with it going basically straight to the factories, but since the Black Sea is partially blocked, the rail is overloaded trying to export life sustaining wheat and sunflower from Ukraine and resupply Ukraine with the necessities via Poland. Russia has been stealing everything it reaches, stealing food, stealing farming vehicles, stealing tech, stealing whole factories, Ukraine can no longer supply itself the way it used to, and what Russia can't steal, it shells. I am originally from Kharkiv myself and half the city is burned down, no longer inhabitable, including historic city centre.
My favorite part of this video? The last 48 seconds starting at 9:29. Plus, that's an extremely weak heart I made with my hands, wow.
I traveled 353 miles (from Mexico to Phoenix) to get two alex drawers and their tabletop. It is worth it.
Wow!
there's good reason why it's popular, what i can't get my head around is why no one is offering alternatives for it?
thanks for the vid!
Exactly. A business like target should have made a similar version a LONG time ago.
I watched the entire video partially because I like your voice 😂 Thank you for the info though I will definitely be getting this setup.
haha thank you for watching!
That’s definitely my set up. Black Alex drawers and karlby walnut counter top
I wanted the walnut but....#OutOfStockProblems lol
@@visionarywatts I got mine back in may 2020. I had to wait about a month for it

Hi, what tabletop did you buy for the desk on 8:59? I love that wood color!!

love to see it
LOVE IKEA. Thanks for your video.
thank you for watching 🙂
Would shipping 2 Alex drawers be a bad idea opposed to driving to pick them up?
Love IKEA. Sucks I just moved to Raleigh and there is no IKEA here!
Yea there was going to be one in Cary but the powers that be changed their mind. Ugh
Great video thanks for the info
Georgia ikea has them in stock, I’m going later today 2 and a half hour drive haha
Sigh, good luck! It's hours later now, hope you got what you were looking for 🙏

I wonder if I can get a carpenter to clone them in solid wood.
Yes but it ill be more expensive!
@@visionarywatts it'll be worth it.
@@suranae Agreed, I built some furniture pieces for parts of my house and I'm sure it will out-live me haha
Watched the video in its entirety. Lol
Oh wow thank you! That's unheard of these days haha
Now there 160 dollar
$369 shipping for one drawer, haha no thanks
try a pick up point. I know some places have a pickup point where its cheaper. Approx 10 bucks to have it picked up from there in my area.
cause you bought em all 😆
lmao
They are over $100 now… stupid… thanks COVID
I never understood why these were so popular. They're not low cost & they have holes in them so dust, bugs, animal hair just flys on in.
