- The Horizon West area of Winter Garden is still one of the fastest growing communities in the entire country. Only to be outdone by the Villages (and oh my is that place growing!). The last time I updated you on this area that sits just North of Walt Disney World property was about 6 months ago. In that video it was alot of "this stuff is coming"... Well now we're seeing massive growth happening before our eyes. Check it out!

Great overview, Ken! This area is definitely booming 🚀 I always wonder how the growth around 429 will impact the older, dated touristy areas in Kissimmee/Clermont/Four Corners along 192. Today, it’s definitely a part of town I try to avoid.
Hopefully rising tides raise all ships!

Great video. Please keep the maps coming. Helps us new Floridans. Any guess on Fleming road completion. We would have loved new construction but would not build on less then a 1/4 acre. Ended up in Clermont on a 1/2 acre near the legends. No regrets. Winter Garden Farmers market via Hartwood Marsh Road is a nice drive
Look, I'm glad stuff is popping up but I'm also upset with how clustered its becoming and they removed all the trees.
Yeah agreed. Does stink to lose the trees.
@@kenpozek Is there anyway the City of Horizon West could preserve those trees around the properties they are making? Kinda like a Buffer area... If that makes sense. It would be much better to have at least some trees around to help with the air quality and nature's natural beauty.

Can you do a video on the Brightline Railway. I am in Space Coast and am really sad that they are not doing a stop here for our beaches and cruises in the port. Love your videos by the way! Love the knowledge you bring to all the opportunities that Central Florida has to offer!

Hi, Ken. Does Horizon West have gated community estate-style homes, or is it more family-oriented and cast member housing…and the true Winter Garden gated estates are outside Horizon West? Thank you.

As someone that grew up and still lives in Winter Garden, the roads haven't really caught up to the humongous surge of new traffic that's come around in the past year or so. In the entire central Florida area, this area has some of the most horrible traffic I've ever experienced outside of the main highways. I'm glad that the city is growing but there's so... many... cars... Also, I miss the nice citrus smell in the air when it was orange season. That's irrelevant though.
Yeah I wonder how much they’re going to have to increase the width of the 429 Or will they be building even more highways away from the 429 which would be nice

What happened to the proposed mega park behind Bridgewater Middle School. Is that still going to be developed?
Still on the books. I believe they'll be moving dirt next year.
Hello Ken. Do you know the person Who’s handling the leasing for flamingo crossing? I have a tenant that needs to get in there.
So i live in winding bay by the Avalon road, and from my experience living almost 3 years in the area it has a major flaw and it’s the roads aren’t big enough to support this massive housing, and the construction none stop every day all day doesn’t help, if you ignore the construction and the horrible traffic jam it’s a nice growing area to live in
Is an Avalon going from two lanes to four? I would assume that would alleviate a lot of your issues
How much will be a single family homes 3/2 no HOA ?

There are lots of hispanics in this area and depending on where you're located, chances are that the high schools will be either West Orange or Winderemere high. I'd say West Orange probably has a larger Latino population and probably more diversity as well.
@@shadowbliss07 Thanks! much appreciated Joseph. Diversity is exactly what I’m looking for. I love different cultures so I’m looking into buying a home here in horizon west or in lake Nona. Comes down to how well diversified either one is. I want to see all walks of life and not a segregated area. Il be checking out both places in December. Thanks again for your response!
Wait, the Disney Corporate Offices and Casting is currently across from Disney Springs, so, there selling the property and moving, will this benefit Disney moving forward Ken?
I’d assume they keep casting right where it is.

Horizon West is windermere AND winter garden and the hospital you showed is off 429 not 417.
Only a very small part of Windemere is actually in Horizon West. Correct the new Orlando health is right next to 429
@@kenpozek and none of actual winter garden is part of HW either...and only a small portion of winter garden is horizon west. Windermere addresses make up about 1/3rd of HW. That's pretty significant part.
Correct. Most of it is unincorporated Orange County. Not the city of Winter Garden. Even though the mailing address is winter garden. I’ve explained this before, but this was really more of a macro overview vid. Trying not to go rainman on the good people of TH-cam.

The area is great,the biggest negative is the lack of originality of the construction.The houses are for the most part extremely boring.Being so close to Disney they should have built the houses with some unique designs instead of boring boxes,something like what you find in Laureate park in Lake Nona or go full out modern designs like what you see in Miami,and please stay away from mediterrenean architecture which is seriously played out.Its a shame it could've been more original.

I live in area off tiny road. There are alot of really soft uneducated people living in the area. Only good to live if you are lame. Waiting for my house to gain like $250k and im out!
