I just recently started to work as a salesman in a hardware store here in Switzerland and on friday i saw that we sell these toilet snakes made by Ridgid. I imediately had to think of you, giggled and mumbled "all good" to myself. Needless to say that i had some explaining to do to my coworker. He's watching your videos too now...

This of course is an absolute marvel, but all the others are just as interesting, from the average one down to places I would NEVER set a foot in 😱. It was basically a drywell. It usually relys on the water soaking in to the ground faster than it comes in. But whoever designed that one didn't do it correctly. It's like they buried it and forgot about it lol.
Received my new style of shirt and it's really good. Quality is nice and it's well made. Has Ratty, Croc and the missing Magpie on it with Drain Addict spelled out using sections of pipe. When I saw that huge boulder, for a minute there I thought the problem was going to be underneath it! Glad it wasn't but typical of some people to cut a corner and not use full length of pipe. The other day I was walking home from a gas station near me and a puddle looked just like Australia ro me including Tasmania so I took a picture of it but I still need to upload it to share it with you.
I'm sure that drained fast when first installed, but over the years the sandstone chunks got packed solid with dirt and decomposing things, until it clogged up. I think I seen steel mesh along with the landscape fabric they used to filter and keep debris out of the pipe end, which seemed to work fine. the way it ended in large rock chunks would keep erosion down and drain nicely until clogged up.
It's somewhat comforting(?) to know that you run into the same crap-jobs by careless contractors that we do. The only difference is you're on one side of the pond and we're on the other side. Makes one wonder if these contractors are scheming together.... Hmmm.... Hope y'all are stayin' safe and healthy over there. From this side of the pond. God bless y'all.
Who would have ever thought that putting a giant, multi-ton rock over top of a thin walled, barely in the dirt pipe would crush it eventually. Color me shocked, my friend. At least it made for some good t.v. Thanks for the videos.
Well, they did think that, so they just stopped the pipe before it went under the boulder. And possibly put in the worlds shittiest drywell. Which clogged up pretty fast, hence Ollie coming around to fix things

The rigid locator I use pretty much exactly same one I use here in the UK is round £1800-£2000
I find myself saying "RIDGID" when Ollie gets the locator out.
