Hi all, I wonder if Let's Resin could make a wand just for rings! And even a stand! What do you all think?! 🤩 And guys, please don't forget to thumbs and drop a comment 🥰🙏 xxx
Try using soft uv resin for the resin paper. It should make it more flexible. Then when you get it into the shape you want, you can layer hard uv resin to stiffen it. jmo Also, I've been wanting to ask.... Since you figured out a recipe for dip resin, can you figure one out for making the resin "clay" out of uv resin??? Worth a try?
Oh love we aren’t just here for you bodging it 😂 we are here for you! Always make me smile and laugh, you are the light at the end of my dark tunnel, thank you x
Imagine the motes that float around the glitter factory? I’m so very engrossed in your mad scientist vibe. Your ideas are fluids breaking down my blood-brain barrier, brother! 🫵🧠⚡️
If you have access to the 3D printer that made your ring cone, you’d be better off to redesign the cone with a central hole 2 mm larger than your shaft. Use some CA glue to plug it into place. UV resin cures exothermically so can heat up PLA prints to the point of deforming. With a properly centered hole, the only wobble you’d get would be due to a bent shaft. You often have some great ideas. 3D printing and resin really go well together. They compliment each other very nicely.
I love your resourcefulness!!! I'm always trying to find uses for item's that most people disregard or just toss away. I have just started my resin creation ideas all thanks to watching your videos! Your use of whatever you have on hand to make the most gorgeous pieces has truly inspired me to branch out into the resin hobby. 😊 Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us! 😊
You never cease to amaze me. You are a resin artist, an inventor, a brave boy AND a cobbler. Maybe just get the cup turner out next time. 🤣 I put a wooden ring mandrel on my cup turner for ring making.
I purchased a ring turner from Brentford ring in USA. Inland revenue charged me loads of dosh which was overturned when I appealed. What a process! Anyway, the ring turner is fine. You’re welcome! xx 🎉
Hi Fran, awesome, it would be great to have a proper machine but I'm now thinking Let's Resin could develop an attachment and even a stand for this mixer to make it an easy multi purpose device 🥰
Nessesity is the mother of invention.... You needed a ring roller and... Voila, you made one 😂😂😂. Brilliant Professor. Love the ring ❤. Glad you are feeling better 😊
I want to thank you for this video. You gave me the motivation and inspiration to make my husband a new wedding band for our 15th Anniversary that’s coming up. I’d never tried anything like this before and after doing a practice ring, his turned out pretty amazing! So thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Good to see you back experimenting, sharing and feeling better.. I hope that Mrs. Cooper is feeling better as well.. Missed you while you were gone since I am living and crafting vicariously through you.. 😉 💕 💕 💕 the glitter resin paper and ring turned out fabulously! 👏👏👏
I absolutely admire your resourcefulness! No matter what fantastic ideas you come up with, the end result is always a gorgeous, mind-blowing masterpiece. What impresses me most, though, is your clever ability to solve challenges while creating them. It truly shows the brilliance of a true artist’s mind! Bravo, Daniel! I adore your work and have learned so much from watching your creativity in action! 😁👍👏
I love this Daniel! I was just thinking how in the world was I going to make rings like the ones you make in this video. Thanks for sharing such a great idea!
Attachments, what a good idea Mr C👍 For the moment I would try bend a bit wire to support the thing 🫤name escapes me. I love winging it and all ideas are welcome. Thank you ✨✨
You should change your name to Daniel MacGyver. lol! I am a newbie to epoxy, but I have been playing with IV resin for a bit and I am loving it. This paper you have made it will help so many newbies. I know that it has changed my way of doing things. Thank you for sharing ❤
You’re a pro at winging it. It always makes the best videos in my opinion. It’s so fascinating to see how your mind works and comes up with new ideas and solutions. Love your videos ❤
This was a genuinely entertaining video, great improv problem solving. Speaking of which. If you are at all familiar with lathes (wood-turning for me) the super effective solution to your stability issue is a "tailstock support". Essentially if you could fasten a pin/needle for example sticking out at the same height as your ring fastner, then apply pressure of the tip of the pin to the very end of the green ring turner at the very center. Kablamo you would have perfect 'center' and stability! I am really confident this would help! Have a good one man, keep creating beautiful and fun things! :)
Great fun ingenious video. 😅 Super finished ring. The hot water method looks better than the heat gun I tried. I'm going to try that way now. Thanks Dan. ❤
Daniel, you had me cracking up so hard in this one. I loved your DBE flex of "I've got 120K subs from winging it!" After all that it probably would have been easier to get out the cup turner, but not nearly as entertaining. They sell those ring holders at Resin Rockers but they are a little pricey. 💖🤩🤣
Daniel I admit I cheated on you while you were away but I was thrilled when those other resin artist gave you credit for the piece they were working on. You go Mr Cooper ‼️😻❣️
I'm laughing at myself because I was talking to the screen telling you that "the shaft needs support" like you could hear me. 😂 Thankfully you figured it out on your own. 😅 You have tamed the "craft herpes!" It really does get everywhere. 😂 The ring "turned out" pretty well in the end! Bravo! 👏🏻 Loved the sanded version of the pendants though. They look very similar to opals! 😍 Of course, they're pretty when shiny too. 😉 Glad that you're feeling better Daniel! 🫶🏻
Again an ingenious move by Daniel. I'm laughing. You have to be a genius. The things you come up with are genius. You should have been a scientist. The ring is gorgeous.
You are the greatest. I bought a tumbler machine from a Dollar store that uses batteries. It’s so slow that I was able use it the way you did using tape to hold the ring and it is the perfect speed. Thank you sir.🎉
OMG Daniel This is THE BEST Wing it video i have ever seen. The ring is just gorgeous !!! I would love it if Lets Resin could do something like this cause i would totally be into this as i dont really want but a tumbler as i dont do tumblers LOl
