- This Can CUT RESIN Use BY OVER HALF!!! An Experiment by Daniel Cooper
In todays video we take a Resin Art experiment and totally change the way we could make certain things with UV Resin! THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!
I want you all to hit the comments with ideas on how this Resin Art Idea can be utilized! The bauble idea is incredible, I currently have it hanging on our tree! I'm thinking of trying this is another way soon but without the bubbles.
So we have basically utilized the mold with less than half the resin needed and whilst it has bubbles, I'm confident that these can be coated after or covered to hide them, also, this can be sanded!

Don’t worry about the word ‘game changer’ Daniel. It’s the perfect explanation! You have an amazing mind like a crazy professor! In the nicest possible way of course. 👍☺️
Thanks so much Sue 🥰 What an experiment! 🤩
I read you comment and agree, what a wonderful way to put it! He even has the accent to boot! Rock on Professor DC 😊
@@MsElaineyus thanks so much 🥰
@@MsElaineyusI just love this!❤
That was so very very cool indeed, awesome! ❤
This is why we need people like you, experimenting so we can learn and enjoy what the outcomes can be 🎉🎉
Thanks Tracey 😊 🫂 So many more to come 🥰
I love the “what if’s”. I live my life by them!
Same here Susan 😂🤣 You never know unless you try 😂
I can’t add any more to what has been already said, that you are THE resin wizard, that you continually amaze us with your crazy good experiments, and that you such an amazing and beautiful mind! I will say that you seem to be so much more comfortable in your new studio, and, we get to see your facial expressions, which are SO GOOD! Thanks Daniel and happy holidays to you and Mrs. Cooper…😊🎄🥇
Thanks so much 🥰 Yes, so much easier now and I'm actually feeling much more comfortable 🥰 Merry Christmas to you and yours too 🎄 🥰
I am actually liking the bubbles, I see it as a feature not a fault. I bet cosplayers would love this too... keeps things light for costumes
You are truly the "resin rebel!" You take all the rules of doing "proper" resin techniques and bust through them all to create something all together new! LOVE IT SO MUCH!
Thanks so much 😊
They actually look so delicate and lacy... it's a beautiful effect
Thank you 😊 I thought they would stay soft and spongey but set really hard 🥰
This is brilliant!!! You could use them to make little lanterns.
Thanks, yes, 100% 🥰🥰🥰
It's always fun to find out your experiment surpasses your expectations.
I love it when you are excited and say "Let's find out!" Lol
OMG what a great idea!!
Thanks Carla 😊 It's always exciting when experimenting 🥰
This is a really clever idea! It can be taken a lot further by using a strong handheld high-speed mixer to mix many more smaller bubbles in the resin. If a large vacuum tank and your vacuum was mounted on a gimbaled mount, free to rotate in 3 dimensions to evenly coat any shape before freezing it in place with UV light. With many small bubbles, the vacuum would need to be regulated by eye to just expand the bubbles and not break them. Another option is to get a chemist involved and find a blowing agent that could be added to make the bubbles after it is poured.
A stronger UV source that would be focused would be nice. It need not be expensive. It is easy to make lenses that are good enough for this from Plexiglas and polish them with the flame of a propane torch after sanding them with wet 640 grit paper.
Keep experimenting. We learn more from our failures than from our successes.
I always loved playing with vacuum chambers. I think you need one of these ultrasonic knifes. Oh, so much fun. 😊
A technique where you intentionally mix in bubbles?? You've just become my favorite person!! LOL This is so awesome!
😂😂😂 thank you 😊
Once again Daniel you've broken the mold. Fantastic thank you.
Thanks Maureen 😊 🫂
You have invented a new effect. The Daniel Cooper effect it should be called.
Thanks Alan 😊
Daniel I'm in awe of your creativity and your mind. How it even occurs to you to do these things is beyond me but I'm so glad you do. While I don't have a vacuum chamber and won't have one for the foreseeable future, I'm still enjoying where your imagination takes you...inspirational. well done yet again ❤
Thanks so much Siobhan 🥰 🙏 Always so kind 🥰
I just love how your mind works.
Hey Daniel! Embrace the bubbles & magic happens!
You are a Resin Wizard! The ceiling images are awesome!
Thank you 😊 For once, I'm loving the bubbles 😍😂
You are SO Creative! We are so lucky to have you as a leading resin artist!
Thanks so much Anne 🥰 🙏
The light on the ceiling looks so so cool! Love it. Great work Daniel. As usual.
Thanks so much! I loved the added bonus of the light 🥰
This is bloody BRILLIANT! Well done Dan.
Hollow!?! So cool. Looks so crystally.
💡 *Idea:* A hollow resin shape like these, on a slow rotating base with remote control controlled RGB LED light in it. As the hollow resin shape rotates, the light projects out its imperfections onto walls and ceiling. 😉
Oh my goodness. You’ve done it again Daniel. I am fed up with the word game changer being used for any old thing & being disappointed however this definitely is a game changer. So many possibilities. You’re a genius.
Thanks Barbara 😊 Yes, I totally agree, it is very over used, I am allowing myself to use it only if I really think it is now 😂
@@daniel..cooper I’ve never found you to be one to overstate your tutorials. You’re one of a few with actual game changers.
Daniel, you're curious mind never fails to amaze me. Who knew?
Thank you so much 🥰
You try the things, you do the things, and they turn out so freaking cool! Thanks!
Wow, thanks so much for the Super Thanks 🥰🥰🥰
Can't wait to see what you do further with this new found idea
Had a hard day at it today and retired injured to lie down flat. Just watched your vid and instantly feel more relaxed. Our little superstar nutty professor! 🤗
Thanks Sarah, hope you heal up fast! 🥺
@@daniel..cooper thanks matey. Early night. Speak soon. Take care. Oh, and don't blow up the science lab 😂 x
@@sarahbird9267 😂😂😂
Trial & error method is my favorite
Didn't expect them to come out hollow
cool 🙂
Thanks Harmony, what a crazy experiment 🥰
This was really interesting, and a great idea. You could fit a large vacuum chamber with UV LED strips so you get all around coverage, and you can use enough LED power to ensure a full cure for fairly large moulds.
I bow to your ingenuity!
Thanks Linda 😊 🫂
looks like a cloudy sky on the ceiling well done great experiment
Definitely does 🥰 thank you 😊
Resiners is going to wonder why so many machines are flying out the warehouse door!
Awesome idea as usual
"Dear Santa..."
Thank you 😊 🙏
Whow!! The ceiling! Amazing work as always. ♥️
Thanks so much, yes, that was a great added bonus! 😍
Reminds me of the bubble lights we had on our tree when we were kids
Oh yes, I remember those 😍😂
I love your brain! You have such an incredible imagination! They look amazing! Who would have thought of doing this, except you! 🎉
Thanks Anna 😊
You are a mad scientist, my friend, and I LOVE it. It is so cool watching your videos. Thank you for your experiments! 😊
Thanks so much Ellen 🥰 🙏
I agree 100% ❤
@doublybubblysoap9734 thank you 😊 🙏
Mr.Cooper your experiments and projects are fantastic. I love every thing you do. Don't have the guts to try them myself.
Thank you 😊 🙏
I could see this technique being used with water themed projects, with resin fish etc...🐋🐠🐡🐙🦀
THAT...that is _CRAZY,_ Professor DC! Wish I had one of those vacuum chambers! No, you're right...cakes definitely don't come back up! Wish they did. 😅
This is DEFINITELY a game changer!
DAN! Try this with a flat snowflake mold, if you have one? That might look so cool, as if it were made of snow...?
Love how relaxed you are in your own Kingdom. 😊👍
Thanks so much, yes, that could work awesome! 😍
Oh wow ! You have a great mind! Soooo much fun!
Absolutely fascinating! I'd love to see you try this with a larger sphere mold! You have created a new version of night lights! Fantastic! Just plain fantastic. There's no other word for it. Thank you for another great video, and keep on experimenting, please.
Thank you 😊 Definitely more to come on this 🥰
Just when I talked myself out of buying the debubble machine thingy! Yup that’s a technical term 🤦🏼♀️ once again you’ve pushed the boundaries of resin Art - thank you for sharing the madness 😂😂
Thanks so much 😊
That is really cool! The possibilities are endless ...
Thank you 😊 🙏
I love this! Holographic effect mold or add in iridescent flakies 😍😍😍 Can’t wait to see what comes next!
Thanks 😊 More to come soon 😊
Making hollow pieces with a mold and UV resin isn't new but adding so many bubbles first] is new to me and it's awesome! I'm thinking that this might be great for earrings. Awesome work! 😍👍
Thanks as always, yes, have seen some but nowhere near like this 🥰
@@daniel..cooper I'm thinking it might also be nice to do this then paint another layer of resin thinly on the mold, put the bubbly piece back in on top and cure again. That should give you a shiny finish while keeping the textured look. Might work best if the initial piece was colored and the second coat was clear. 🤔 Could be interesting at least. 😉
makes a wonderful lamp i would definitely buy something like that
Thank you 😊
Oh oh I have an idea! Put this in a coaster mold and when it's still spongy cut it into a wave like pattern for a sea foam look. Or make it look coral like to put in your deeper sea looking projects. I loved this video, I just wish I could afford to get one of these machines Lol. ✌️❤️🤣 strive for peace, love and happiness in your life.
Thanks 😊 So much more to try 😊😊😊
Daniels at it AGAIN ! ! ! Crazy experiments, hang on, just gona make a cuppa,,,,,, right, carry on, press play. x x
Thanks so much 🥰 🙏
You are a genius. The light effects were ace
Thanks so much Susan 🥰 🙏
Wow! Your experiments are wild! Great job!
I heard del boy saying lovely bubbly 😂🤣😂🤣
This is why we love your channel!🎉
Thanks Willow 😊 🫂
WOW!! I love watching these crazy experiments! So cool!
Thanks so much 😊 🙏
That would go well on a beach scene. for the water bubbles.
What awesome experiments! Thank you so much for sharing this. It's fascinating!
Wow such a great experiment. Thanks for sharing. Love the way the pyramid was hallow. Love the outcome. Just my 1 cent
Thank you 😊
Yes back in the game changer it is spectacular I like be the bubble effect. 👌👍❤️
Thanks Melanie 😊 🫂
Omg absolutely amazing so beautiful ❤
Mind blown....that is cool. Now I want a Resiners pressure pot 😂
Thank you 😊
Brilliant!! Again!
If it's an actual gamechanger, it's perfectly alright to use the word. These are all fascinating. I started wondering, how they'd look with a second colour inside, but I guess that would take away half the fun. There are a million applicatios for light hollow things, like all kinds of hanging light things and such.
As a side note, you can make hollow casts with epoxy resin, if you rotate the mold while the resin cures. I've been meaning to try that. And I need a vacuum chamber. Darn it. So many ideas, so little time and money...😂
Thanks Leena 😊 Yes, I have tried the rotating trick but they can be so uneven and very gappy/thin in areas but it depends how much you pour in I suppose.
This is so cool!! I have to rewatch because I cannot believe it.
Thank you 😊
Amazing effects ❤
I like the bubbles. You mentioned figurines. I can envision a lamb made with this technique. Merry Christmas, Daniel. 🎄🎁⭐🩰
Thanks Judy 😊 That would be cute! 🥰 Merry Christmas to you too 🥰 🎄 🫂
Always great videos Daniel!!
That is wild. I hope you come up with some funky things to do with this discovery. Oooo, the sphere one is so cool!
