Here is a video of me experimenting with Cat Eye Gel Polish in UV Resin, I'm pretty sure I could make this work with regular resin too. Let me know what you think, I think these effects are crazy!

One thing I dislike about instructional videos is I always end up buying a whole bunch of new stuff so I can try it out myself. This is the one of the few times that I am happily surprised to find out that the new items I'll need is something I already have.

These are gorgeous. I used to have magnetic polishes, and different magnets make different patterns. I never thought to try in resin, but they are beautiful.

Cool effects! I've done this with cat's eye powder in 2-part resin. I have a sheet of metal that I put tiny rare earth magnets onto and then put my mould on top of that. You can get awesome wriggly patterns or almost a lightning effect.

Not sure if it would work with 2 part resin, the magnets might sink before the cure happens, but am definitely going to try it with UV resin. Thanks Daniel.

Hi Daniel. Should I assume that the uv gel nail polish can only work with uv resin, and likewise a cateye powder mixed with resin to be used with epoxy resin
I have used uv gels in epoxy 😊 I wouldn't try normal gels in uv resin though as those wouldn't cure 😊

I know I'm replying to this vid a tad late, but how about adding some sinker white to these nail polishes in 2 part resin to see what type of effect they produce? Unless you've already tried and it didn't turn out any good - just a thought.

Can you tell me have you tried the flower magnet on the resin or will that only work on nails and how long do you hold the magnets over the project for it to take affect . I tried but my magnets did nothing to my cats eye nail polish gel . Thank you
Happy belated birthday. Im new to tesin and im lovely your channel. I was wondering if i can put chameleon mica powders into clear resin or even black would you get the same effect as brushing directly onto the mould before pouring?

My nail varnish come today then my partner was ive gpt some i can't use. She reacts to UV varnishes. Also my new work station is taking shape amd im thinking my gun metal ring blanks will look amazing for this and i eill definitely when my work station is finished making a utube video on this type of resin art so my followers hopefully forgive me from my lack of new videos of late . I LOVE CAT'S EYE POWDERS!!!! Me mum owns her own hair and nail salon and she does acrylic and gel nails… she showed me these powders a long time ago and I got really good at making these thing on NAILS… never tried the cat's eye powders in resin before… I never even crossed my mind! Leave it to YOU TO FIGURE THIS OUT!!!!!
I use the colored uv gel polish to add color to my uv resin and it cures wonderfully WITHOUT ANY STICKINESS!!!! But I have never used cats eye gel polish! I didn’t know it existed!
Try out the cat's eye powders and use your magnet on it to move the powders around… I think you will be quite surprised :) the magnet will pull those colors though each other and shift in a wild way! At least that is what it doesn’t in the nails…

I bought some nail varnish like this a long time ago. And it came with magnets that made a pattern. I think they would be great. I’ll try post my results when I give it a go.
