  • In today's video I will be teaching you how to use enamel spray paint on a table and chairs! This is a satisfying dining set makeover so I hope you enjoy it! My client wanted me to repaint their dining set for them and so I used Rustoleum Protective Enamel spray paint in a Gloss finish. I also used their Clear Enamel spray to seal it and add more protection.
    If you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up, and if you didn't give it a thumbs down! Thanks for watching!

    ADDTIONAL NOTE: For those asking how many cans I used, I don't remember the number. I lost track after a while. I know it was at least 15, but it may have been more.

    *I did notice the difference in the spray nozzles? Did you use a different type of paint from the base to the top coat?

    How do you keep bugs from landing on the wet paint and messing it up?

    • @ChicAntiquebyHolly
      @ChicAntiquebyHolly  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't do anything about that if you are outdoors, unfortunately. Luckily, I only got one bug on one of the chairs and I released it before the paint dried. It's a big risk, but I only spray outdoors for my safety.

    How long do you wait between coats? Whenever I spray paint things, if I wait 24 hours and don’t put all the coats on the same day, the paint bubbles up.

    • @ChicAntiquebyHolly
      @ChicAntiquebyHolly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the back of the can. For this particular paint, they recommend re-coating after 1 hour.
      Bubbling is really frustrating and can be caused by many factors: cold temperatures, reaction between the paint & the surface, heavy application, high humidity, or the previous coat wasn't ready to be recoated. In my experience, it usually bubbles because I applied it too thick.
