Well, at the Mos Eisley Cantina (the game's main hub), Custom characters, "Extra toggle" characters, "Use old save ("Episodes I", "II" and "III"; "The Prequel Trilogy") characters and vehicles from some levels are not available for playability, unfortunately.

I have this game on my DS, it's the glitchiest game ever, when I played as the bar guy, I could fly just like R2-D2, weird.
And that's why I loved this game.
Yeah, the DS version is a buggy mess. Some of the levels are literally impossible and there's game breaking glitches around every corner.

Yes! I remember that for some reason Dagobah Luke had the same jump animation as Han Solo so when you did the jump attack he would shoot a laser from his lightsaber

I remember playing this when I was a kid. I remember the Extra Toggle Characters as well. As far as I remember, I think the ones from this video were the scout trooper, Han Solo in carbonite, the rebel and imperial engineers, the AT-AT driver, and the skeleton. I am sure Lobot was an unlockable character but I can't remember.

Lobot wasn't unlockable character in the original Lego Star Wars 2 but in the new complete series version he's not a playable character.

I recall a time where I actually managed to switch my character to Jabba without any cheats. It required a rare glitch where a character would spawn halfway inside of the wall in the room where Jabba does the bounty hunter missions. You’d have to quickly swap over to the character before they clipped out of the wall, and then walk over to Jabba. As long as you’re past the wall, you can switch to Jabba.
Interestingly, he was able to walk through everything, his model had no collision at all.

Yeah, they were, it's just the creator didn't fully playtrough the game and didn't realise they were extra toggle characters. You can find it in one of the comments
Skeleton and Frozen Han Solo were playable. To play as them you have to activate the extra toggle in the pause menu, but it only works on some stages. And Lobot you can buy him in the shop
The amount of nostalgia is stressing me out.
I remember there was this crazy thing that happened with my game where it had an insane glitch where it altered the character menu and I could suddenly play as characters from the prequels as well as characters from the original trilogy. I could play as young Anakin, Darth Maul, General Grievous, hell I could even play as the pod droid, etc. I could also play as the mouse droid that Chewie scares off in the Death Star. To this day, I still have absolutely no idea how or why it happened but it was awesome. But unfortunately not long after that, the game ended up resetting itself and I had to start over (probably had something to do with that glitch).

I love how all these cut and free play characters were added in the 'complete saga' version on the wii. It's just really cool!
I remember playing teh first level as r2d2 and 3p0 and the walls in game were a glitch texture and everything made this weird noise.

You showed off a lot of characters that a lot of people didn't know were probably there and you showed off the few characters that you can't access. And I know what you mean about not playing in a while and having to remember everything LOL when I got the complete series for free on Xbox it took me about three or four days to get back in the swing of it

You can play as frozen HAN in the original game
The funny thing is that frozen Han Solo, the Skeleton, and both Engineer's are in the Wii version as playable characters.

The ones that slide around are the ones only in cut scenes the ones that walk are the ones that you see as people in levels

I didn't knew who the Extra Toggle Characters were because I've never unlocked them when I played the game.
If I post something like this again, I will do more research before posting "unplayable characters" but thank you anyways.
Actually about half of the characters were included with extra toggle. The scout trooper you get on Endor. Han Solo in carbonite is at Jabba's Palace. The rebel engineer you get on the corellian Corvette. I can't honestly remember the rest of them but if I was to go through I can name every episode that they're extra toggle ability is in. Jabba the Hutt the Wampa and the rancor for instance are not extra toggle characters. Anyways regardless of what that guy said I liked your video. I didn't know that some of these characters were some how playable.

What the hell is extra toggle?
TheWyman55 so have you ever played the Mas espa Spaceport mission on a new hope? Well this chapter is the best I can usually use to describe what it is. As you know in the story before that when they were at the Jawa sandcrawler you were able to create four different types of droids other than C-3PO and R2 D2. Those four droids in the next episode are playable for you if you have extra toggle activated you will be playable in free mode. Extra toggle allows for any unpurchasable or unplayable characters in the main storyline to be played in their designated missions. Another example is on the Endor missions when you are riding on the scout trooper bikes you are allowed to be a scout trooper in free mode because that's the only level were Scout Troopers exist. If you want there's websites that actually explain in a little more detail and give every single example available for it. Granted not every level will have extra characters in it but a large majority will. Also there's a secret to it it allows you to have more free mode playable characters selected at the beginning when it random selects a bunch of other people free to play as.

I have a feeling a lot of these characters exist for either cutscenes ,boss fights or they were develop but cut probably because they made it late in development

2:40 weird thing, the icon for the rebel Engineer shows the hard hat, but the character has a tan hat. The extra toggle version of him is vice versa; icon is with a tan hat and the character has a hard hat. Very strange.
You can play a song Wampa in the episode 2 hoth arcade and rancor in episode 1 arcade. You have to have extra toggle on, this is for complete saga users and wampa does have a walking animation btw

I wonder why some of the unplayable characters still have idle animations even when they don't appear outside of cutscenes? Like for instance Mon Calamari and General Jan Dodonna have animations, but then Dr. Evazan and the Surgical Droid don't.

If you have a memory editor and the debug menu is on that version then it might be possible, however, I can't help you with that since I don't have a Wii.
Also, I'm not familiarized with Lego Batman games, so, I don't know if it has any debug menu.

Darin Staley because they were never given those animations. You can see them in the game but they aren’t playable so those characters are in cutscenes or backgrounds
