Thanks for the overview. I'm from NE India here so my perspective might be a bit different. I left for US for my AA, BA and did my MA from UK. Now, im doing my PhD from a US University. Why didn't I do my PhD from India. Well, mostly because of my experience abroad, I think its more challening and you learn more overall from the best in the world. Its more competitive in a healthy way. I did my schooling in India and I have had my share of experience here. To be honest, I didnt learn much for many reasons I cant share here and besides mugging up is almost mandatory to pass. Therefore there's less room growth for becoming the whole person. Moreover, hindi language is almost necessary to live here and that was not my cup of tea. Anyway, as for my experiences, I'd say US is always better all round. Thanks
@@emmanuelamadi8982 I strongly support PhD should be industry oriented. What's the point of our education, if it doesn't support our livelihoods...? (Commercial) Studying after the 35 years in India just for academic interest is meer waste of time.
@@SanjayGupta-jv9zc I believe the greatest improvement of our livelihoods is in improvement of the minds of those around us as well as the coming generations after us. I believe people should be taught and inspired to be the best versions of themselves and not just consume what others have produced.

Sir I have doubt regarding fellowship from csir gate etc that the money that given to us is for our personal maintenance? Or whole and sike for research utensils expenditure?😨
that is if you want that $$$. industry gives you far more money. you want to do something useful with that phd. zoology is a field where you can't really do much outside of academia. the industry is too small and the demand is not there. so you have to go to academia for the best prospects for that field.
