Interesting video and timely. I have a 3,000 mile 701 Enduro which I have yet to take off road. It had 2,000 miles when I got it. Recently on a faster road (in the UK) I was doing around 60 mph and opened the throttle to pass a slower vehicle and discovered firstly how much power this bike actually has and secondly it’s got clutch slip up there. I don’t get it in the lower gears but in top it’s very obvious. My aim is EBC plates have but thanks on the springs, I’ll look further before choosing. Best, Ian

Hey hey. Thanks for watching !!
It is much appreciated and congrats on your new ride. These bikes are incredibly fun.
Your most welcome brother. I’ve turned 26k miles on my SM recently and am using the OEM clutch pack still. Granted, I’m not wheeling this bike around like my kTM 300 smoker but I’m no snail either on the 701. I attribute the springs in increasing the life of the OEM clutch and hope this solves your problem with out needing a new pack. Even then However, you’ll love the stiffer springs either ebc or Barnett as I and others have.

22' 701SM at just over 10k miles. Dealing with the clutch slipping, so I picked up an EBC clutch pack, Barnett springs, and the pro shift kit. Planning on using the stock shift arm spring exactly as you have. Really excited to see if it resolves these awful false neutrals. Hoping to get it in this weekend. I'll come back to report my findings.

      Hey hey. Thanks for watching-Fantastic!
You should be real happy. I want to know how it goes.
I Havnt had one in so long I can’t remember when it was. Prolly 4-5 months ago. I have 26 k miles to date.
You will still get them but should be far less and more along the lines of any other bike.
Recalibrating the shift sensor can also get you better. You won’t k ow till you install what you are doing right now.
      Look forward to your findings.

Thanks for the video. Great info. I just ordered the Barnett springs for my 701 just for durability off road. Don't need issues when I'm 1000s of miles from home in the middle of nowhere!

      Hey thanks for commenting!!
I really like these springs. Hope you do as well. Prolly one of the best things I’ve done. You’ll notice improved shifting too. I haven’t hit a false neutral in I don’t know how long. I’ve also got the ceramic pro shift kit as well using the OEM shift spring. Love it.

I have been trying to find torque specs for the clutch spring bolts. What did you torque to on your install of the Barnett springs?

My clutch started slipping at 7k miles with stock springs. When taken out the springs were still in spec! I ordered new clutch, stock springs and CSK 131. The EBC springs I decided not to go with cuz the length varied by .5 mm.
With that said what is the part # for the barnett springs you have?

      Hay hay.
Thanks for posting Vinnie. The part number for the Barnett springs are right at the beginning of one of my clutch spring videos. I’ll post a link.
I’d say the CSK 129’s ate a really close second and might have a tiny bit more quality feel if you can’t find the Barnett springs for any reason.

Hi there. I can buy the CSK129 at 12$ and the barnett at 28$. Do you think the barnett worth the difference in price?

It’s up to you. But only $40 for both sets and you can see for your self.
      Good luck 👍
