Hey just wondering what kind of results you’re seeing with this install? I have a 690 enduro and had my temp light come on during a recent off-road trip loaded heavy and working up hill in hot conditions. It’s got me wanting to improve what I can and found this kit and went looking for reviews. I’ve only really found your video so wondering if you think it’s made a big difference? Thanks man for the video!
I love the cooling mods I’ve made. I’m don’t use the Smart Moto fan switch I had installed and now converted that switch to an on/off head lamp switch. The lower thermo switch combined with the 701 LR fan work great together with the upgraded water pump kit by Ambro. But I just saw AliExpress offer one at a fraction of the price. I’d consider that one if it lines up well for about 69$. KTM Parts pro can get you the LR fan and thermo switch. Talk to Sabrina over there in parts. She is good. Everyone should like dealing with her. The bike stays between 160’s- 180’s and I don’t like generally riding above 85F out side. Amazing how that also keeps me cooler as well with the absence of the heat coming of the engine as before. Bike is happier and I’m happier. The fan does run more however but I find it comes on at traffic lights and is off by the time I get to the next one. So not excessive imo. Thanks for watching ❗️❤️ MotoHead
@@motohead5319 The engine runs cooler that's all, richer across the rev range, more tuning possibilities with a greater flow rate. :) Also worth looking into the second and third gear restriction, and removing it. :) two wires!.
@@motohead5319 Pop it into google, it cuts the throttle in second and third gear for emissions, some say from 30-60% which is obviously crap.... have fun!! The wiring diagram shows which two wires depending on year.
Thanks for the great vid! Did you also consider new exhaust, which I'm told helps a lot with temps? I'm also trying hard to get my 690 temps down. Wondering whether I'll need to mess with exhaust if I do the impeller mod.
Yes. A different muffler will make the bike run cooler but keep in mind that will also make the bike run leaner which May off set a little of the heat savings with out adding more fuel to compensate. So a fuel dongle will help on euro 4 bikes.
I e a ktm 950sm 2007 I put in a GPI radiator Arrow exhaust and Leo Vince evo11 cans and it’s made a huge different, I like the ambro larger pump and thinking of doing the same but even now it’s pretty good on heat loss

I have been struggeling with Overtemperature Issues in low Speed Offroad Sections too… Turned out my thermostatic Valve was kinda burned, I got some Video regarding that Topic on my Channel. Do you recognize some significant Change after installing this Kit? Everything works fine? Would you recommend it?
I ride mostly in town and find the mods work out great. The fan will kick on at a traffic light and be off by the time I pull up to the next one. Running in the 160’s-180’s F. Thanks for watching MotoHead
